I first got in touch with Thermo Shield back in February of 2021. They came to my house, took measurements and emailed me an estimate. From that time, until a week ago, I had sent at least 15 emails with questions and requests for updates on estimate. I sent at least 30 texts in that time frame. I have an 80% gas furnace and I needed to figure out the best/safest way to have a foam insulated attic while still getting combustible air for the winter if I needed to turn on the heat. I did a lot of reading online and asked people in different industries for their opinion. I finally pulled the plug and had my attic done the week before Memorial Day weekend, 2022. Nick was super patient with me over that 1+ year period, answering every question and not pressuring me or making me feel like I was bothering him with so many questions. He gave me a fair deal and took care of the follow-up to minor things with removal of my cellulose insulation and adding foam. The solution for the gas furnace was to run a duct from the furnace area to and through the foam wall separating the conditioned attic from the attic above the garage. When the furnace isn't in use, I just cover it with a piece of insulation to keep the heat out and remove in the winter if I need to run the furnace. After the foam was done I had concerns about leakage in the ductwork and Caden came and did a duct pressure test, with great results, a tightly sealed envelope. In the past 12 yrs since I got a new dual stage AC & duct system, on hot days like today, I'd come home and it would be 78 degrees. I would try to cool it down to 76, but it wouldn't get there until after dark, around 9pm. Sometimes the house warmed up to 79. It was just too hot in the attic and the air in the ducts wouldn't be cold. That's not fun when you've been working all day and get home around 6:00 and have to spend the next 3 hours with a warm house. Today, it got up to 108 outside. I came home, it was 78, I set it to 76 and in 35 minutes the house cooled to 76! On days that aren't as hot, I can tel my AC is not even kicking into 2nd stage. I'm looking forward to the end of the summer to do a comparison. Additionally, I can see all the wiring in my attic which will make it easy for me to do the work I want to do and I've already seen less dust in the house because there's no more cellulose in the attic. Nick & Caden were awesome and so was Dom (did the foam). I 100% recommend Thermo Shield. They are super professional and do quality work. One note, depending on your house, it may take closer to a week for the smell to dissipate. I was able to be in my house about 5 hrs after the attic was foamed, but it took a week to 10 days to wear I couldn't smell the foam. If you're going to get your attic done I would recommend doing it in a cooler part of the year so that you can open your windows to air out the house quicker. I now set my thermostat to 1-3 degrees cooler at different times of the day, and my AC responds easily, and my bills are cheaper than last year. My most expensive bill this summer is $75 less than last years most expensive bill! read more

Nick's company Thermo Shield prides itself in having so many 5-star reviews, and they did a nice job on my duct work and Applegate insulation in Aug2019. Caden did the quote, and wasn't pushy at all about upgrades/upselling and actually gave me several options to try to DIY if I had a limited budget. I ended up doing about $1,300 in duct sealing, $2,900 for insulation to 14" R-49, with $1,100 taken off in SRP rebates. My latest A/C bill was $350/month, so we will see how the work ends up! There is a 3% fee for credit cards, but they do take AmEx and online payment after the project is super easy. I got my itemized receipt of repairs for the house binder, and had 2 days of work done by the crew. Thermo Shield even was able to come work on short notice, alongside my LED installers (Blue State Electric) and they coordinated everything in the morning professionally to get insulation on top of the LED lighting that was put in that same morning. Paul was super helpful at explaining what he was doing, step-by-step. Wayne was very respectful and hard-working the whole time. Eric stayed positive in the heat, and was fun to be around with his good attitude. These guys were in the heat outside and in the super-hot attic and still paid attention to detail, including sealing my interior vents/returns/registers to make sure nothing leaked. I spent several hours getting estimates for blown in attic insulation and decided on Nick with Thermo Shield LLC. Nick had the lowest estimate of the companies I called. My house had some blown in insulation which amounted to about 5 inches and patchy at best. Nick's estimate consisted of R40 blown in insulation and a lifetime warranty "(if not disrupted or changed by someone else)". His estimate also included a senior/military and multiple home discounts. With all the discounts and great pricing in the first place, it was only slightly above what it would cost me to do it myself and I didn't have to spend 2 hours in a hot attic. His crew Daniel, Caden and Caedon did an excellent job in the attic and when done, cleaned up the mess perfectly. Nick also gave me a follow call which is something you don't get much anymore. I would definitely use him again for the following reasons. 1. Great price and warranty. 2. The insulation was very good quality. 3. The crew that did the work was very professional, polite, their workmanship was excellent and they cleaned up after themselves. Also this was Nick's crew and not a subcontracted crew. 4. Nick gave a follow up call to see if everything was done to my satisfaction. It seems like anymore when someone does work for you they leave and you never hear from them again. I honestly think that 1 star is more than they deserve. My overall experience with them has been shitty! First, when they came over to do the estimate for replacing the insulation, they went up into the attic to look at the insulation already present. After a while they came back down, said that it needed to be replaced and gave an estimate. Then, it took 2 and a half months to even book an appointment for them to come and install the new insulation, leaving me with 80+ degrees inside my house all summer. Shortly before they finally booked the appointment, I reached out to other insulation companies myself. One company that came to do an estimate informed me of a heavy amount of mice poop and urine all over the attic that had damaged the old insulation, something this company completely neglected to inform us about. Then, when they finally did come out, after being told of the mice excrement in the attic that they completely ignored and being reassured more than once would be cleaned out first, they did not clean it out at all and instead just blew the new insulation over the health hazard that they failed to clear out! read more

Nick came out, got up into the attic, showed me photos so that I could completely understand what it was that he saw up there. He explained how everything would be done and their work methods and materials. He gave me options and we discussed his recommendations. No hard sell. He was able to return just a couple days later to do the work. Nick isn't just the salesman--he is the owner and he is also the main person doing the work. He and his helper arrived on time and he showed me the materials we had discussed. His truck has all the equipment that enables him to do the job in a completely professional way. When he came down, he showed me plenty of photos of the finished work. Everything was done as discussed and they did a through job of the clean up. Three hours after they had arrived they were gone and nobody would have ever known they were here except if they took a look in my attic. Great communication, no "middle men" and no drama. Everything was just as he said it would be and done in an extremely professional way. I can't imagine how anybody would be able to do a better job. read more

I actually talked to the thermo-Shield guys doing a house in our neighborhood. Usually you just get blown off but instead these guys were courteous and very informative. Called the office and gave them the measurements of my garage and had a quote later that afternoon. They were there the following Monday. The first crew blew in the walls. They covered everything and cleaned up after they were done. Followed by the ceiling crew that foamed the attic with the same expertise. Great crew, especially Victor and Brandon, did what ever I asked them to do and went above and beyond. Kind of a rarity these days so very pleased with the work and the personnel! If I had any more insulating to do, Thermo-Shield would be my first call! Wish I could remember the other guys names but they were all Great!! read more

I found this company on my neighborhood website and decided to have them give me a quote to blow additional insulation into my attic. The owner and sales people and technicians were all very professional and helpful and answered all of my questions. They also gave me several different options and pricing and educated me on all of them without being pushy. I did some research on my own to see how much we would save doing it in our own and the savings were so minimal we had Thermo Shield do the work. The did a great job. I am so happy with the result! I noticed immediately that the A/C is not working as hard and our home stays much cooler longer. I'm sure the electrical savings will pay for the work very quickly. About a year ago, I've installed a new AC. But The house has not cool as it should until I found Thermoshieldisheildinsulation.com; I got a Radiant Barrier Coating and Fiberglass Insulation. I got this services back in Jan 2018. I've waited until the weather got really hot (110 degrees) to write this review. What wonderful job that nick has done to my attic!.. And now my AC could stop running because the inside house has already reached with a very comfortable level of 75 degrees even though out side was 110. Cayden called to give us a quote on insulating my garage. I stated what I wanted done and what I thought I could do to lower my overall cost. He provided me counsel, was honest and professional. With the rebates from SRP I moved forward with better insulating the entire house and garage and became bettered informed on the overall cost effectiveness. Where I could be better cost effective on my own I did the work. In following the calculous in this manner I came in under budget on the entire house and not just the garage. Nick's company did an awesome job on the spray foam. Zach and Elijah did amazing job, even with the extreme heat in August in my attic. Wayne also did a great job on sealing my vents inside and out, and fixing the air flow to 3 A/C vents which did not work good. I also got my A/C ducks cleaned and disinfected threw Daniel. I saved #90.00 from last years bill in August and $60.00 on Septembers bill. My A/C runs less and house is so much cooler. I can not thank all these guys for the great work you all did. The office did a good job of communicating regarding questions and schedules. Aaron came out to do the inspection and estimate. He did a great job of explaining what needed to be done and the different options available. We had the old insulation removed and new fiberglass blown in. The guys did very good work on both tasks. The price was very reasonable and they were flexible in scheduling. There was one missed appointment and a late arrival, but that may have been due to the staffing issues a lot of businesses are dealing with right now. All said and done, I would hire them again based on the quality of the work done. read more

We needed to reduce the run time of our AC. Only two out of four vendors answered my call. Nick and team responded on the weekend and was able to do the work in three days. I researched the internet and combined it with Nicks recommendations. We decided that sealing the attic floor cracks and openings where #1, insulate up to R49 #2, insulate the garage to R49 #3. I held off on a solar fan or gable fan because I read they can pull AC air from the house. Also solar fans stop working after sunset. Nick's team was timely, professional, friendly and cleaned up. Field sales rep Caden arrived on time and gave a very thorough explanation of the process of and energy audit and upgrading the insulation in my home. He was also very helpful with the process of the rebate from SRP. He came the next day and did the energy audit. Two days later Ben, Jesus and Aaron came to seal any leaks in the duck work and to add the insulation. They were very professional and Ben kept me updated with pictures on their progress. I would highly recommend Nick with Thermo Shield. I feel he is trustworthy and won't sell you anything you don't need. When he came out to my house, he took pictures of my attic and showed me areas that needed air duct sealing. I had them also install a solar attic fan in addition to insulating the attic. It took Thermo Shield (9 non-stop hours) to thoroughly clean the attic from all old insulation, etc. One granola bar break was all that was needed to finish the entire removal process. The next day Thermo Shield installed all new insulation to the attic (approx. 4 hours), and this Friday they will do an energy audit to submit to SRP. The discounts alone that Thermo Shield got from SRP saved us a ton of money, and nobody else compared to their price for the entire project. Just purchased a home In Chandler. Was concerned over the insulation and had an energy audit done. Found that we had very bad insulation, which greatly contributed to the problem with the cooling. Thermo Shield was one of the 6 bidders for the project and wasn't the cheapest, but amount the middle of the road. These guys were awesome. Very prompt, fair, and professional.
