The devil, as they say, is in the details. We were told the dealership would cover half the delivery cost and quoted $600 as our share. The driver arrived and mentioned the actual total was $1,000, meaning our half should have been $500. The car arrived missing its valve caps and with a key fob that didn't work. When I raised the fob problem (foblem?), I was told I could just swap the color if that was the real issue. I stood there quietly marveling at the implication. I had not complained about the color, which was fuchsia (decidedly not my color but I already had the replacements). The fob didn't function. These are different problems. At the time I was too tired to be upset about being gently accused of lying. Then the dealership submitted the wrong amount to the DMV, causing delays and requiring a second temporary tag. The deal closed quickly. The car arrived. That is not nothing. But it all adds up to something that feels less than the standard attached to this brand.
