This was my first time at Thia's and I love my nails. It was a quiet atmosphere and that's what I like. The salon was clean & everyone was super friendly! Vicky did my dip powder manicure with tips and she did a great job. She was gentle and took her time but it didn't feel like it was that long at all. I went here because the regular nail salon I go to was closed. My co-worker is a regular here and I love how her nails look so she suggested this place to me. She usually has Hellen do her nails but Vicky did a great job as well. This is also near the gym I go to, so I may come back for a pedicure in the future. I also want to mention there is not an ATM machine here & there is not a "tip" line on the receipt, so be prepared to bring cash for tips :) read more

The salon is very bare, doesn't look classy, and looks abandoned. You literally have to dig threw a box to find a color of dip nail powder you like. I asked the technician to cut down my natural nail down a little because I don't like tips. So she cut my nails completely down then had to put tips on all my fingers. Then I told her I wanted them cut down because I type for my job and if they're long the tips break my nail bed. She insisted on leaving them long and now a week later I had 3 nails broke my natural nail bed and I cut them down but can't get the tips off because my fingers are in so much pain. I will probably have to wait a couple weeks to get my nails done again so my nail beds can heal. Also I wanted to have coffin style but I was told with my finger shape it would look ridiculous and stupid. After demanding I'm the paying customer she put on a sloppy, way to thick acrylic nails, even though I asked for dip nails. The technician needs to listen and let the customers pick what they want instead what they want instead. The technician never washed her hands or wiped down her station before starting or after. I wanted to wash my hands and was told there was no need. read more

I've been here twice for mani and pedi and was very pleased with service. The place is clean, staff is very friendly, and even when it's busy it's not too noisy. Great selection of nail colors with lots to choose from. They carry OPI and Voya. Also, they do terrific nail work. Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. This is a great find within an area that doesn't have a lot of competition from other nail salons. read more

WOW. EXPENSIVE MUCH? The service was okay...I came in at 11am, for a pedi and a set, and left at almost 2pm!!!! The acrylic french tip set was okay, nithing amazing. Within the next day the acrylic started to pull tightly on ny nailbed. You get a "leg massage" during your pedi which really felt like nothing despite me asking for firmer pressure several times. I left very disappointed with this place, in regards to both price AND service. I think your money just goes to their cost of making the place look nice. Oh yeah, my bill came out to OVER $100 with tip. Sure, you get to walk into an aesthetically nice looking salon, but you're really there for a service and to me, the service fell pretty flat. Nothing was really memorable or enjoyable here. If you do plan on coming to Thias, just make sure you block out a good couple of hours cuz they are pretty slow. read more

Never been to this salon before, in the town for the evening from out of state. My acrylics were in bad shape because life got the best of me and I let them grow out for way too long. In general I have had a good experience at Thia's. It's a good place. I had a bad day today. I was left for 25 min with acetone on to the point that my hands started burning. I was told one of the ladies that my hands were burning and she just shrugged her shoulders. I removed the fools myself and somebody came and took it down. Never been to Thia's nails but a good friend of mine recommended them as she's been going for years. I walked in and 3 workers instantly asked me what I needed, the place was moderately full so looking out onto the shops floor I didn't know who to direct my response to. "Just go find color" I was told, I didn't know where the gel was etc so I kinda slowly lingered around the polishes until I was redirected. I'm looking at colors when I'm asked if I have anything on my nails now, I responded that there was still something on my thumbs. "Oh my gosh we have to get you soaking, you have to tell us." I kindly let her know that I had informed them when initially making the appointment over the phone, she scoffed and carried on.. I then inquired about pricing as she very aggressively worked on my thumbs. My response was "dang,okay." Still had every intentions of getting my nails done and she said "sounds like you can't afford nails" LOL I then pulled away from her and told her never mind and she is very rude and quickly walked out. I have never been treated like that in any nail salon, or any type of business for that matter. I left so embarrassed and very anxious. I would never step foot in this place again. read more

Came for mani/pedi. I felt like an inconvenience even though I called ahead. The man doing my pedicure insulted my choice of color, my nails (natural, I don't do acrylic/shellac) and made my experience the opposite of relaxing & unjoyable. The leg & arm massage was mediocre, the polish on my toes was decent but on my fingers terrible. He offered to fix but I'd already spent two hours there. I feel scammed. I had an appointment to get my nails done for my sister's wedding and had the owner, Thea, do them. I was charged $70 for a full set of acrylic nails. Never once did she tell me I was getting an upcharge for anything. When I asked why it was so expensive she said the shape (coffin, that she convinced me to get), ombre and glitter top coat(that I refused several times but she still insisted to cover up the HORRIBLE ombre paint job) were all extra. The nails are only 2 days old and look grown out. They are so bubbly and round. Bottom line they look awful especially for paying $70. I will NEVER be back. read more

I came in today for an appointment at 1:00 and they got me right in, whereas I have been to another popular salon - Andy's Nails, and have waited over an hour when I specifically made an appointment. The service was friendly and the area was really clean and sanitized. I got the full set and it took about 35 minutes. I was really happy with my visit and will definitely go back! I had an hour to kill before heading to the airport to go home. I stopped in to Thia's salon to get a quick manicure. The staff were awesome! Thia herself was there to get me started she and her staff did everything they could to get me on my way in time to catch my flight home but still provided a great experience. I've gone to Thia's twice now since we moved from Austin in April. Both times I've been completely satisfied. I've had my nails done quite a bit in my life and the consistency and quality of my mani/pedi were above average at Thia's. I think the price is fair - I paid 55 for a deluxe pedi (with the oil and leg wraps) and a regular mani - which is consistent with other cities I've lived in. They do prefer if you make an apt (but they accommodated me when I walked in), which is the only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. I've definitely found my nail place in town! read more

I was looking for somewhere closer to my work to take advantage of my lunch hour, since I have been so busy, I got right in, and Anna was GREAT! very friendly and my nails look great!! I thought the pricing was little steep ($40 for a fill and shellac, which I pay $31 and my normal salon), but I was still extremely pleased!! I dont understand your concept of make an appointment, yet then leave the customer sitting forever and on top of that when we get up to leave you lie and say youre getting ready to do our nails, only to leave us sitting longer until we finally left! I work 2 jobs (a situation that the technicians are aware of), I do not have time to sit and wait for them to catch up! The customer service is atrocious and has gotten worse over the years. I'm torn on the review. The service was good, my nails look great, and it was affordable ($30 for gel color + manicure) The location is convenient and pretty nice, and everyone there was pleasant, but it wasn't clear that anything was sanitized. After the technician did my cuticles, he tossed the clippers back in the drawer without sanitizing them, which makes me think he probably didn't sanitize them before either (ew!). I should have said something, but I didn't. I won't be going back because of this, which is too bad because everything else was good about the experience. read more
