Oh, wow. My water bill was off the charts and David came over the day I called and diagnosed the problem spot on. The water company came and estimated the cost would be in the thousands. David got right to work and literally dug a ditch and laid a new supply line for me in less than a week with limited inconvenience to me. The price was well below what the water company said it would be. I highly recommend Thiel for any job, whether it is one this big or just a small repair. Could not be happier with his service. Thiel has the best price plus let my husband help to negate some of the price, he also unclogged a toilet that was clogged for a year despite us trying to snake it and putting the chemicals down it. HONEST SERVICE!!! If you're looking for a plumber who provides good old fashioned service with integrity...look no further...this is the gentleman to use. On a Saturday a couple of weeks ago, my Dad inadvertently broke a valve causing the water to the entire house to be shut off. While my Dad was feverishly digging out the area where the valve was located, I called a few plumbers who wouldn't even come out for 3-4 days and one of them even gave a quote over the phone without even looking at the problem that would've broke the bank. The day after New Year's, our sprinkler pipes burst, flooding the yard with massive quantities of icy water for hours. We called and called plumbers. Only Dave Thiel was working. He rushed out at warp speed, handled the issue, and charged us only $10 for gas, because no repairs or replacements were needed. I called him on Sunday afternoon. His wife answered and told me her husband would fix my plumbing problems the next day. Well the next day (Monday) he called to tell me that they're in Oregon!!! He said he'll come over on Tuesday morning. No show no calls on Tuesday!!! Nothing. I called 4 times to no avail. I left a message. No one returned my calls. He finally called back on Thursday. Four days after the initial contact. What in the world made him think that I would put up with plumbing issues for so long waiting for an irresponsible person like him is beyond me? I'm happy to post a review for Thiel Plumbing. Today, after going to five different plumbing supply stores in Reno and none of them having the part I needed, I was walking out of the last supply store in Reno and noticed a van marked Thiel Plumbing. I approached the person at the van and asked him if he knew where I could pick up this drain part I needed. He took the time and searched his van and found the part inside a box. I asked him how much I owed him and he said nothing. I asked him for his business card and his name is Dave Thiel, Thiel Plumbing. It's sure nice to have an honest business person assist when needed. I would have had to go online and search and order this part, and Mr. Thiel out of his kindness looked and found it and didn't charge me for it. Dave has fixed two plumbing problems for us: 1) leak in the shutoff valve of the irrigation system and 2) a crack in a pipe in an outside wall (probably froze due to too little insulation in the wall).
