Original kitchen setup - yes that is ALL the countertop! Sink has been removed and all plumbing on that side capped off.

So I live all-the-way-out-in-Stead (which is how everyone in Reno always refers to it LOL) and have had trouble getting any workmen of any sort at all to come out here. Prior to contacting Best Plumbing, I had ONE other plumber who agreed to come out, and HE, it turned out, was never even remotely serious about doing any work. Everything I told him I wanted done, he said he wouldn't do, including hooking a sink in to existing water and drain lines. I finally asked him why he even came out and he told me he had "always wanted to look around inside one of these houses" (it was built by the Air Force for officer housing in the '50s). That REALLY creeped me out. A total waste of my time and, more important than that, my HOPES. Joe came out without a quibble, the only plumber I contacted who did. He gave me a quote in a timely manner. However I was not able to take advantage of it at the time as my son had to relocate for a new job and he had expenses for buying a new residence, his recent marriage, and all that setting up a new household on top of a long distance move entails. Then we were just going to put this place up for sale so decided not to fix anything after all. Then I had a very small leak from a supply line in the bathroom so they came out and fixed that and installed all new supply lines for me since not a single one in the entire house worked. I cannot imagine a smaller job but they came out quickly and fixed it up for a very reasonable cost. We were still planning on listing the place without further repairs. Then just a few days before we formally put the place on the market, I turned on the shower and water came shooting out the walls, washing cement mortar with it. There was a leak behind the 60 year old tiled walls that could not be ignored, and it had apparently been leaking slightly for quite some time. 60 years ago they laid tile on thickset mortar so this required a complete gutting of the bathroom down to the studs to remove the cast iron tub. Joe sent his crew out and they got that tub out in a couple of hours using a ginormous power saw and various and sundry plumber-ly skills. Dug out the cast iron drain, which I am pretty sure they ended up having to replace as well, and installed plumbing on the opposite wall so I could move my washer and dryer into the house from the garage. Now that I'm on the verge of leaving this house, I have a new tub and an indoor laundry LOL! In addition, they came out and reworked the plumbing in the kitchen. The original kitchen had the washer/dryer and the water heater on one side, and on the other side a stove, sink, and very limited counter space. I had less than 3' of counter on the L at the right end of the sink and only 20" of counter space to the left of the sink. No room for a dishwasher. Previous owners had moved the washer and dryer and the water heater to the garage, and had a Rube Goldberg setup where they ran the drain for the washing machine through the garage wall into the master bedroom closet, then through the back wall of the closet and into the original washer drain in the kitchen. Then they plugged up the hole in the outside wall with cardboard (I'm serious) which had water stains and was buckled from a leak at some point. Joe's crew took all of that out, removed the 60 year old ugly spigots sticking out the wall that had originally been the washer supply lines, and plumbed in new connections for a sink water supply and drain using the existing plumbing. The washing machine was moved into the new "laundry room". They disconnected the original cast iron porcelain sink installed 60 years ago and was in bad shape (plus the faucet leaked), capped off those supply lines and the drain on that side, and installed a new whole house shutoff since the old one was immovable. I am waiting for delivery of cabinetry for the other side of the kitchen where the new sink will go, so they plumbed in a utility tub until the new setup is completed. The faucet I got required that the supply lines go in from the top) but they managed to get it installed ANYWAY, though it took some pipe bending and a bit of extra soldering. I did not realize it was such an unusual installation when I bought it, but they got it all set anyway. To top it all off, 3 years ago we had the furnace replaced by a guy who was supposed to have the work permitted but didn't. Now I know why. It was not to code. I'll skip the gory details but in short, the Best crew fixed that all up for me in short order. Wish I'd known about Best back then to do the furnace install. Highly recommended. Finding a handyman to finish the bathroom remodel has been a(n ongoing) nightmare, but dealing with the Best crew has been the OPPOSITE of nerve wracking, LOL! They've been nothing but patient with me and my awful memory. I thank my lucky stars, at least I found a plumber!

Ryan gave me a quote that was significantly better than some other local companies, and was able to come out and fix it immediately. They promised they'd be there at 7am and be done by 3 the next day - and they held to their word! They came out, relined my sewer, installed a clean out, and covered up the hole by 3pm, even hauling away the big rocks they dug up. They did such a great job that I just hired them to repipe all the plumbing in my crawl space and yet again, they gave me a super reasonable bid and were 100% true to their word. This time a crew of 2 younger guys came out - they were extremely polite, got the job done in the time promised, and cleaned up and were on their way out in a day! Plumbing issues are a massive pain in the butt but these guys do live up to their names - they made the whole thing EASY. Every single employee I have interacted with from Liz in the office, Ryan giving bids, and now 3 other service guys have been amazing - super friendly and kind. This even includes the guy who came out at 7pm on a Sunday to clear the line when I first had the issue - nothing but amazing people work here. I shouldn't need any more plumbing now that they fixed it all, but if I ever do, they'll be the guys I call every time. I HIGHLY recommend Easy Rooter!

I decided to go with "Cured-In-Place Pipe" because it only requires a single hole approximately 2'x4' instead of a trench through my landscaping that would cut very big tree roots since the trench would have been within five feet of four very large trees. Replacing the pipe would also have left three feet of my old (orangeburg) pipe from curb to the city connection, unless willing to pay an additional thousand dollars for 3 more feet. Ryan and two crew members showed up at the scheduled 7 AM time and did an excellent job. Finishing around 2:30 PM after the city inspector approved the work. Ryan and his crew were professional and careful with all the landscaping. They installed a new ABS cleanout, backfilled and cleaned up the work area beautifully.

Their equipment wasn't working, which dragged the job out to nearly twice as long as it should have. To make matters worse, they spilled what looked like close to two quarts of oil all over the dirt on the property and made no effort to properly clean it up or take responsibility, instead they tried to conceal it by kicking dirt on it and then left it. That's not tacky its highly inappropriate. Communication was just as bad. We had to chase them down for days to get the report, after clearly written instructions to the company. After raising these concerns, the company promised a follow-up call to take care of things that never happened. Completely blew us off. Then the invoice showed up hundreds higher than expected, pushing close to $1,000, including nearly $400 just for the inspection. For the level of service provided, that pricing is hard to justify. After 21+ years in this business across two states, this is easily one of the worst vendor experiences I've dealt with. Poor execution, poor communication, and zero accountability. Would not recommend.

Hired for a septic inspection after entering escrow to sell our home. The inspection came back…read morestating the leach pipe was saturated, so the company recommended a recheck/remediation attempt the following week. The younger tech, Lucas I believe, was polite and professional. However, we were told by another technician (older gentleman) that if the leach pipe was saturated and could not be fixed that we would need an entirely new septic system, but we were NEVER told this company does not actually replace septic systems themselves. I assumed they handled full replacements, so we agreed to let them attempt remediation. Three days and $3,000 later, including about $2,500 just for excavation, we were told the issue could not be fixed and we would need a full septic replacement through a completely different company. Had we been told upfront that they do not perform full replacements, we would never have approved the excavation or remediation attempt because now we have to pay another company to excavate all over again. During the "remediation," they also replaced two pipes that did not even need to be replaced since the entire septic system now has to be replaced anyway. It felt like unnecessary work added onto the bill. The yard was also left looking terrible with dirt piles, patches everywhere. Two other septic companies came out afterward and one specifically commented that if their crew left a lawn looking like that, they would "rip them a new one." After paying $3,000 for essentially no resolution, my husband called asking for the yard to at least be cleaned up properly. The older technician told him he would call the following week to schedule a day to come out. Instead, he showed up unannounced on a random day and immediately started digging in the front yard. When I opened the door and politely asked what he was doing and informed him another septic company was on the way, his response was simply, "yeah, so?" Extremely rude and unprofessional after everything that had already happened. At the end of this, we are now paying an additional $15,000 for a full septic replacement on top of the $3,000 already paid to this company, including duplicate excavation costs that could have been avoided with honest communication from the beginning. I'm sure they may be fine for a basic inspection, but I would not trust this company with costly repairs or major septic work.
