I had the gumbo and recalled it being yummy but again I was starving. Fast forward, I finished my nail appointment in ripple and had t eaten so I thought I give them a try. I got there early as the kitchen doesn't open until 5(not for sure if that's everyday). So I had a 15-20 minute wait which was totally okay with me. I asked my server which should I get: burger or wings and she suggested burger and I got the gumbo. The burger was underwhelming. Nothing special and the patty could have been a little thicker. I did appreciate the freshness of the burger salad. I like to cut my burgers. So I got up from my area and walked to the bar to ask for one. Didn't mind that at all but this is where I have a side eye. My server gets up and is like "I believe there are some back here" referring to their patio area. Proceeds to point in that direction and doesn't grab it for me. Smh. I remind her about the gumbo she apologizes and comes back out with it about 10 min or so later. The gumbo indeed was tasty. Has a nice kick that's not too much. However I could have used more meat. I had 4 quartered sausages only. The gumbo was my favorite and I'd return there for that. My rating is based on the spotty service. While she checked in on me, having me grab my Own knife after she got up did not sit well especially since at the time I was the only person there. And also the burger itself wasn't super filling.

The burgers and wings are solid and taste freshly prepared. They also have high quality yet affordable steaks supplied by our local butcher, you'll be hard pressed to find a better deal. Even the greens in the salads are pristine. They can actually make some decent cocktails too, great place to grab a solid old fashioned or bloody mary without being completely robbed. They have a few different bar areas: a pub/dining area, then a sports bar vibe to the right, and of course the dive bar off the alleyway and pool tables. A place for everyone!

It was fresh, clean, cozy, and had excellent service. Although I didn't get any food, I did get a couple of cocktails and they were not only delicious, but were also SO cheap compared to bougie bars that I've frequented. Don't tell anyone else how good the Alley Cat Lounge is, though, so I can still have a seat. ;)

So apparently you can rent the facility prior to them opening at 10pm. So the party was from 6-10. You have access to the entire place and the outside area as well. You can also cater in your own food, so it's not like you have to use their contacts, but it does have to be catered, you can't bring in homemade food. You can also bring in a DJ. This particular party had a cash bar but you can make arrangements for it to be an open bar if you would like. The most exciting thing is you only have to have I think a $400 liquor minimum. Well if you have a decent crowd, I'm sure that's pretty easy. I also wasn't aware that they actually have a parking lot for your guests as well.

It was dark, definitely a late night bar, and was normally the place to grab your last beer of the night before heading home! Now, it is near the Post Office on Carrollton and has been rechristened as a real restaurant and bar with really good food and all kinds of trouble in good whiskeys, Bourbons, Scotches and Irish whiskys! I was there for St. Patty's day and the drinks were cold the corn beef & cabbage authentic and filling, and the camaraderie as cheerful and rambunctious as you would expect! I highly recommend!
