Brick House hosts CCA Euchre league's on Wednesdays. My cousin and I play on the league. We enjoy the atmosphere. The staff is friendly and quick to take your order. They are attentive to ensure you are never thirsty. They have daily drink specials and variety of brew option. We enjoy their patio in the summer time. Bathrooms are always clean here. Parking is limited. Street parking is available for a fee or you can pay for parking in the old Kroger parking lot across the street. Broad Ripple definitely needs more parking options. read more

Have been here a couple times now. Always been a great experience. Only complaint I have is that the manager was very rude to me for absolutely no reason, then proceeded to let my friend on stage and NOT me. So I was in the crowd, alone, intoxicated. real smart.. even after the kind pianist (in the picture) told them we were ok. Went to complain and they told me there was no point because he was the manager and there are constant complaints on him. i more than likely won't be back because of this situation. It's nice to have live music while eating - it's not nice waiting 15 mins while servers walk past you and you pretty much have to ask for a menu. We are a party of 3 and 1 menu was given to us. You would think the cover band singing MICHAEL JACKSON "The Way you make me feel", would bring a welcoming 'vibe' but after we got the menu - we didn't even have a server to place the order - we had to flag someone else to place the order, this all being after we paid a $5 cover fee, EACH. The boneless wings were served w/sauce on the side. The nacho fries we ordered, were literally microwaved 2 minutes before they were brought out to us. Now fast forward to after not finishing the room temperature food, we continued to sit, and enjoy the music. We had such a hard time flagging down a server before we sat, when we wanted one last round - we asked a waitress and she told us that they all share the tab. So you're telling me, non of the servers wanted to take our order? As we sat, minding our business - this lady(...), walked up and I quote "I see you have a to go box, when do you think you'll be leaving?". I'm sorry, excuse me? Why are we being asked this when their are not one, not two but three, other tables that have been present just as long as we have? In so many words, we didn't move. She later then came up, while she was leaving - commented that we were still seated - like what in the world???? *Friends comment below* The cover performer BRad (big + for singing/mixing Beyoncé with TLC and taking other request!!) was the ONLY reason we stayed. This place was a fun dueling piano bar that was very entertaining. Two HUGE pluses are that they take reservations and do not charge a cover. They restated between 3 musicians throughout the night and played all kinds of instruments (piano, sax, drums). Staff was friendly and checked on us all throughout the night. Lots of drinks to choose from and they even serve food (although we didn't eat). Only negative thing I could say is that we placed a song request as soon as we got there (with a $5 tip included) and they never played our song. When clearly they were going through each request one by one. Maybe it was just a mistake though. We'll try again next time !! read more

Best bar in Broadripple. Way better than howl at the moon. No cover, great musicians. Jay Jones is the man. I always bring my friends to Brick when I'm in town. Andrew is my favorite bartender, but can't hate on Hannah or Leslie. I love it year round. It makes sense that this bar is the only place that's lasted in this location. Like bopping around to live music on the weekends? This place is for you. It's my favorite 'going out spot' on the main strip of Broad Ripple. It's a small space and isn't insanely crowded, so you can move around while actually enjoying your friends and the music. You can request songs, but they're frequently playing classics such as Elton John. There's a few bars where you can order basic drinks as well. I don't believe there's any food. read more

So I'm utterly surprised! I actually LOVED it at Brick House. I had never been before but I went with a mixed group of ladies to celebrate a friend passing her organic chemistry exam. Our ages ranged from 26 to 60 and let me tell you, there was a wide range of music to satisfy all of our preferences. The singers were fabulous! They were super talented, energetic, and had crazy stage performance! You could really tell they enjoyed performing. I also loved the drink menu. Great drinks, ok prices... I got a whisky mule and it was absolutely wonderful ($9). The facility was clean and food was pretty good. I am giving 4 stars because we called in advance to have a table reserved but for some reason it didn't get reserved. It was their error and they weren't really trying to make the unfortunate situation better. They could have tried to pull a table together or offer a free drink or something. Another table was reserved with a table sign but we reserved in advance and it slipped through the cracks... thank goodness we had a group of people who were leaving that let us take their table otherwise we would have left. This place is a super fun time in Broad Ripple. It happens to be one of the only places that has live music on a consistent basis. They also don't have a cover, which is nice considering some of the lesser quality bars in broad ripple do. You can always count on lots of catchy cover songs from every genre of music. It can get pretty busy on the weekends. Their drinks are good, but nothing spectacular. They used to have a $10 minimum for all credit card purchases (haven't been in a while so not sure if that's still the case), so bring cash just in case. The food selection is decent, but I imagine it would be incredibly difficult to order late at night once the bar fills up. I've tried their pizza before and thought it was decent. read more

I've been here a few times and it's always pretty meh. But last night was disappointing. I went for my best friends' birthday. All 6 of us paid $5 in cover and got inside to find no where to sit. As we stood in a group trying to figure out what to do (considering we paid $30 to come inside for no table) one of their maskless employees came up to us and told our group we needed to "disperse" and find somewhere to go. Not sure how we are supposed to do that when they are letting in more people than they have tables for? Anyway, we didn't stay long but I feel scammed. Not pleased! read more

So much fun. We got here a little before 8pm, there was gentlemen playing the piano and singing request on the patio. We were told the dueling pianos would start around 9pm, we had made a reservation earlier in the day just in case. We hung on the patio for a bit and were having a good time singing along and making jokes with the piano man on the patio. Eventually we moved inside to our reserved table. The bar staff was great, well the entire staff there was great. Made lots of conversations with everyone that worked there. The Dueling Pianos were great as well, I was surprised that they rotated the players a lot, added guitar & drums intermittently as well. All the performers were awesome, we danced, we sang, and had a blast. Around 11PM the place was packed, literally standing room only for most and that's when we decided to make our exit. Not really into the whole drunk & loud college student scene. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely come here again. Opened a tab at the bar and handed my card to the bartender and was having a great time enjoying tunes. Go up to close out my tab later in the night and they tell me they don't have my card. Mind you it's not in my wallet and I legitimately handed it to the bartender who misplaced it and instead of helping me find it they act like I am the crazy one and I'm the one who lost my card. I have loved my experiences at Brick House! The drinks were great and pricing was actually pretty good for drinks. On top of that you're getting some great love performance/entertainment (on the "dueling" piano days, not necessarily karaoke days). The drinks were great! I got a few drinks: whiskey sour, "White Russian", and midori sour. The whiskey sour was good, not great. I've had better, but I've had way worse. The "White Russian" is in quotes because they don't have any type of milk at Brick House. This was kind of disappointing to me, but they brought me their own version which used rumchata in place of dairy. It was good, but a good deal different than my loved White Russian usually tastes. The midori sour was, by far, the best drink I had while we were there! The bartender did a great job. The server we had was quick and made sure to check on us when our drinks were low too! The, overall, best part of my most recent visit was that it was the weekend before Halloween. We went dressed as a couple of characters from 'Parks and Rec' (Burt Macklin and Janet Snakehole). The girlfriend paid one dollar to have the pianists/singers do "5000 Candles" (a song from the show). I didn't think that they would do it. She said they could look it up. After about 20 to 30 minutes we were losing hope in them playing it, when suddenly we began to hear the lyric being sung. Some parts were a tad different, but I wouldn't expect anything different (it is a song from a tv show that they likely haven't heard). Brick House is so much fun. It's a great place to take in the Broad Ripple scene but not feel like a sardine in a can full of smelly frat boys on their weekend at home. It's a piano bar similar to the style of Howl at the Moon, but way better. I've been to Brick House a handful of times, most recently on Saturday of Halloweekend. It was fun to grab a table, request a few songs and see all the different costumes rolling through. A table behind us kept putting in requests without any tips for the piano guys, and then complained when their songs weren't played. Uh... they won't play your song if you don't pay! So just a helpful tidbit there. Bring singles, or see if a bartender/waiter can make some change for you. I didn't catch our waiter's name, but he was super friendly and checked on us enough to fill our glasses, but not smother us. He even gave helpful suggestions when the bartenders couldn't make something the Bae wanted. If you're looking for a good time in BRip, but don't feel like really getting your club on, Brick House is the place to go. read more

I was in Indy for a company meeting and hadn't been to a dueling piano bar in over a decade. About a dozen of us went and had a great time. There were three male entertainers, one on piano, one on drums and one that alternated between guitar and piano. There is also outdoor seating, overlooking the people on the streets. Good service. I prefer Brick House to downtown Indy's Howl at the Moon. They play a wider variety of music (thank you for not playing Bruno Mars every other song ) and have pretty cheap drinks. Visited Brick House for the first time this past weekend, and I was pleasantly surprised. Not to compare it to Howl at the Moon...... but I'm going to. This was, for me, a much more enjoyable experience. I feel like it was much classier than Howl is.. doesn't have girls up on stage embarrassing themselves which I think a more mature crowd can be thankful for. Also, there is ample seating which I find important because my feet hurt too much when I stand (I'm afraid this review is making me seem like a stick in the mud!!!) Anyway, music is great... they take requests as well. There is room to dance if that's your thing, too. Also, don't know if it was just the night we were there, but drink prices seemed reasonable. Hidden spot worth seeking again and again. The pianist sang and played very well; but most importantly, he was very engaging to those in the bar and at the tables. The bartenders were on point with the beer selections. We ended up with some Sun King. You gotta support the locals. The space had enough TVs around to keep up with the games; but not so many that you think you are in BestBuy. I was able to watch the Pacers and some Thursday night football. I would describe Brick House as the Broadripple version of Howl at the Moon. The vibe is very similar, but there is more variety. I really appreciate some great live entertainment, and that's exactly what they provide. The musicians are both talented and funny. When you walk in they greet you and rope you right into their show. I have never had a request turned down. The bartenders are pretty great. They are super nice and very fast. I have never had issues getting drinks. My biggest grievance is that it's hard to hit the sweet spot with the vibe. Sometimes I go and it's so packed and crazy that I can't enjoy myself while I'm pressed against one hundred sweaty strangers. Other times it feels like a birthday party where no one really showed up. If you can nail down the best time to go, not too busy and not too dead, you will have a GREAT time! read more
