I live in Hawai'i, but most of my family is in the Pacific NW, so finding businesses there that work with me during hard times is a gift. Roxanne has once again come through for me! This month my hanai Mom (Hawaiian for adopted Mom), passed away. I was able to get there to see her the day before she passed, and spend time with her. We set up her service for the following week. Everything was taken care of through the funeral home, but I forgot to get flowers for the reception and graveside service. In a panic, I called Roxanne that morning. She jumped on it right away and I was able to pick up a beautiful, fresh bouquet for Mom, that the rest of the family could enjoy for several weeks afterward. I got one picture of the arrangement, and it does not do it justice, but it was a lovely addition to the banquet table and fit in perfectly with the other arrangements. Roxanne does beautiful work, and she goes above and beyond to help people going through good time and hard times. Mahalo, Roxanne!!

She was SO sweet. When I came in she explained to me the difference between a full bouquet and a half bouquet (one is round and the other is more flat). That was one of the reasons that I didn't like my previous bouquet so it's good to know the different styles when you order. I came for my friend's birthday and the bouquet turned out AMAZING. I knew she had talent because I've seen it on the displays she has out. (My friend said it was the prettiest flowers she's ever gotten). Highly recommend to visit. Don't be scared to tell her if you want something different or specific, she is SO SWEET and wants to make sure you leave with a bouquet that you'll love. 10/10

I love the attitudes and proud disposition of one of the employees named Cole. What I love most is that he has a gift shop type of attitude. He's aware that more than likely a customer is picking up something special for a special someone and he above and beyond to help you. I often observe employees and how they interact with other customers while shopping and he's a total sweetheart. He takes pleasure and care to make sure your family member or friend receives not only an awesome gift but that the presentation is just right. I love when he asked if I want my gift wrapped up and stated that "Presentation is Everything"...I love it... also as a side note, they actually supply stamps and would mail postcards out for you!!! Jude is another employee that is very attentive and helpful. You feel so invited when you walk into this shop. I peeked into Fireworks Gallery minutes after deplaning in Seattle. Not because I'm an idiot who…read moreshops for souvenirs on the first day of a trip, but because I'm an idiot who forgot to put shoes on her two-year-old before leaving for the airport back home. I kind of thought you could buy most essentials at the airport, but it turns out children's shoes are not a typical travel need, at least when they aren't being worn by traveling children. Fireworks did carry children's slippers, which caught my eye as I passed, as well as a nice assortment of unique, crafty toys and gifts. Unfortunately, my five-year-old followed me into the store and zeroed in on a tiny, colorful finger puppet in the shape of a parrot. He asked me to buy it for him, and I declined, telling him we weren't getting a souvenir before we even left the airport. He was upset by this to the point of tears, but I managed to get us out of there. We had a wonderful time in Seattle, and to his credit, the five-year-old behaved well the whole trip (and the two-year-old got new shoes). When I saw Fireworks Gallery again by our departure gate, I decided at the last possible second to stop in and get him the parrot. It was one of several Folkmanis finger puppets in a wire basket. I picked it up along with a bunny rabbit and went to check out. There was a short line at the register--I guess this shop gets decent traffic--and by the time I was up, my husband was calling to tell me we were boarding. This is how I paid $36.36 for two finger puppets that cost $10 apiece online. Fireworks got me good, but my boys do love their little puppets, which are soft and cute and well made. The wares here are definitely nicer and less generic than at your average airport store. It might cost you, though, if you wander in there with your kids.
