It's been 7 years since I had my eyeliner done by Jackie so I decided to update my review. I originally gave her 5 stars and I'm changing to 1. Here's why: 7 years ago I wanted to go a little thicker for my liner. Jackie did what I asked and that was perfect at the time. However as time passes, so does your style and opinion. Makeup tattoo should always be temporary and only last 3-5 years. Mine has never faded. Not even a little. I'm now having to go through a painful process of getting this removed and have gone through 4 treatments so far. I barely see any lightening so I'm not even sure about the product that Jackie used at the time. This is very frustrating, and expensive! Jackie also tattooed right up to my tear ducts, which is extremely dangerous and can cause permanent damage. Be cautious. read more

Jackie did a fantastic job! I went to ThINK Pure Skin for a soft powder touch up on my eyebrows. It had been seven years since they were done and Jackie filled them in and the color is PERFECT! Bought a Groupon in March for eye brow feathering (permanent makeup). Was not able to schedule despite nearly open flexibility, and immediate attempt to schedule to give me plenty of lead time. Now, finally I have to ask for a credit from Groupon No communication, not able to schedule on the web site, all full, and voicemail was full. Responded to email once but then did not followup in text as committed. She may be 5star in her makeup work but not in the interaction for scheduling. I'm thankful I got a credit, but I would not do business with Think Pure Skin or Jackie. Something is very wrong in how she conducts her business. This is not worth spending so much time trying to schedule and then running up closer on the May 4 expiration, when so far, I have not been successful in scheduling or getting any outcome. The way I handle pre insurance obligations and preparation info assurance so I feel comfortable working on a client requires good and timely communication via text. Jackie is incredible I have training in permanent make up aesthetics and micro blading and this woman has so much knowledge and did such an amazing job on both my eyebrows years ago and recently top eyeliner. It's been a few months since I've had my eyebrows microbladed by Jackie and I am still very dissatisfied. I paid $550 total for three visits and they look like crap. The visits themselves weren't terrible, but the outcome was not worth the discomfort of having your face sliced multiple times with a microscopic blade. To this day, I still draw my eyebrows on with Anastasia Dipbrow. I was thinking after paying that much that I wouldn't have to keep drawing them on, and sadly that is not the case. At this point, I would not return to Jackie to have them corrected. I do not trust her ability to properly do them. I will be going elsewhere to see if someone can correct what was already done. read more

I was honestly expecting a sketchy office but the facility she works in is so nice and trendy! They offer you coffee or water which was nice! Jackie was extremely professional and made me feel at ease. I had my appointment at 10:30 this morning and got the natural thin/lash enhancements on my top and bottom lashes. I showed her a few pictures of exactly what I wanted and she delivered. I was really scared about the pain but she did a 2 step numbing process and didn't begin until I was 100% numb. I honestly couldn't feel anything aside from a small part by (not on) my tear duct . She worked quickly and was extremely steady. I barely have any swelling or discomfort and attached pics. Jackie Permanent Makeup I almost cancelled the appointment because I thought the upper/lower eyeliner would be unbearable pain. I was amazed on a scale of 1-10 the pain was 0 after the numbing cream was applied. I am so glad I had it done. My eyes water from allergies and waterproof eyeliner smears with the high heat and now I have perfect eyeliner! I went to Jackie for my eyebrows. It has now been two weeks and the scabs are gone and I love that I don't have to put pencil on them. They look natural. I am going to sign up to have her do eyeliner. At first I was put off by the $47 tip she requests in her appointment letter because I didn't see that in the Groupon I purchased, but after I thought about it still felt that the Groupon of $100 and the $47 tip was still reasonable for the procedure. read more

I wished I had read the review posted on 3/23/2014. Very similar situation, although I ended up not going to see Jackie. I also got the Email on the expected 10% gratuity based on the original full price value of $475, I thought that to be very rude and greedy; I thought Groupon is another way to advertise a business, to bring in new customers, but not to take advantage of them; so they will return and recommend it to others. Anyway, I had to cancel my appointment due to illness; when I tried to reschedule Jackie response was that I had to pay $50 in order to reschedule - I didn't read anything about a reschedule fee that cost this much. It didn't make much sense to pay $50 reschedule fee on a $79 Groupon. My take is "customer service" is very secondary at Think Pure Skin, I am not used to that and will not use this business in the future. read more

Would you like to have your eyeliner done by a gentle, sincere, motherly woman? If so, I highly recommend Jackie. Used a Groupon for natural eyeliner and will probaly need a touch up due to my eyes watering a lot. Her facility in downtown Scottsdale was great! It's cozy, bright, neat and clean. I would recommend trying Benedryll if you have watery eyes to help with the numbing cream stay on like Jackie suggest and will do it next time for touch up. When I called to make the appointment Jackie said there was a mandatory tip (not listed on Groupon), which put me off a bit so I cancelled the appointment. I just got home from getting permanent eyebrows done by Jackie at think pure. I have some hair, however it is thin and doesn't grow on the ends. I have wanted to get my eyebrows tattooed on, however I have seen some places that look horrible. I saw Jackie's work on groupon and decided to go, mainly because of her brush stroke technique. Jackie was professional and so nice, she spent alot of time with me to get the perfect shape and look that I wanted. I was very scared the it would hurt....its a tattoo on my face!!! Once she numbed them, and started, I actually asked her if she started. After a few minutes, I could feel slight stinging, kind of like a paper cut on my eyebrow. It was only a 3-4 out of a ten pain. She finished the first eyebrow, and my husband saw it first...he could not believe how natural it looked and said they looked wicked! When I saw it....I ACTUALLY cried! It looked so beautiful. I looked like I grew hair in 30 minutes. I am so happy and am finally able to go in public without spending 15 minutes putting my eyebrows on. If you are looking for beautiful, natural looking permanent makeup....give Jackie a try. read more

Having my eyebrows done on an extremely tight budget was a HUGE treat for me when I found a Groupon for $99 to have them done. Because of a couple good reviews I decided to try Jackie out. The first flag for me started going up when the day before my appt. she send a message. Included in that message it states "As disclosed by the coupon company at the time of your purchase, 10% gratuity, based off original full price value price of $485 is expected and appreciated." Please plan this. I have never in my life ever been told by anyone how much they expect to be tipped - I find this rude and greedy. It made me wonder if she would do a subpar job to get me in for the retouch, thus costing me an additional $50 for the tip and $75 for the touch up. And of course it was subpar. Then in her email she goes on to say that if you do this she will give you 50% off the $150 touch up price. Well first of all Groupon stated no such thing. Being last minute and on a tight budget as mentioned I only had half the tip. I told her I would mail her the other half. So a week later I told her I wanted to mail her the final tip and qualify for the 50% off retouch for $75. Her response was "great send it to such and such and address. And wait 6 wks for the retouch". I am still waiting for her to confirm the $75 retouch fee and so I resend the question asking her to confirm, and also asked what suite she was in. She slides right by my question about the discount, but gives me the suite # she is in. At this point even more flags are going up. I finally said why didn't you answer my question about $75 retouch? She slid in a sly comment about saying great we will see you there. But, no confirmation on the discount! It was like pulling teeth it was so ridiculous the game she was playing. Then I said all I wanted was you to confirm it was only $75 you would be charging me - just didn't want any surprises. "Then she says to me - Yes, I normally offer it at the time of the appointment or if payment is received right away but I have no problem extending that to you, I will watch the mail". At this point I don't trust her. Ok, so here is what happened at the appt. I had my eyebrow pencil on. A darker chocolate brown. I told her I wanted my eyebrows just a little lighter than the eyebrow pencil. So she puts this putty looking color on my forehead and said "how's this?" I said that looks pretty light, I want it just slightly lighter than my eyebrow pencil. She said it would be. I said you are the pro, I believe you. Well they are way to light and one is shorter than the other. The shape came out ok for the most part. But after dealing with her business wise and our text messages I do not trust her at all. I know if I did not push the confirmation of the 50% discount, I would have had my retouch and she would have said "That will be $150" I guarantee you, she is sly. But not sly enough - it took me 3 times trying to get her to answer my question and then when she finally did, she said she normally only offers it immediately but would extend it to me - She is a piece of work. Be careful and know exactly what you should be getting, because she will try not to give it to you - just like she did to me. I will not go back to Jackie who is obviously money grubbing hungry to pay for that Little overset glass room on the 5th floor with view. I will go to someone with less overhead who is more concerned about her client than the money. My word of advice to Jackie is to be honest and straight forward and quit playing games. Jackie stated I would not feel any pain with getting eyeliners and if I did, she would stop immediately and apply more lidocaine. I did feel pain but she kept going.. Her phone rang several times during the procedure and she didn't turn it off. She pulled my eyelids and pressed hard on my eyes. When she finished, the bruises started to show. They went down to my cheek. I looked like a battered woman. When she was done, she made sure I tipped her $47 because she usually charged $470 for this punishment.I asked for a thin liner and because she goofed up when I winced from the pain, she had to make them thicker. She graciously told me she wouldn't charge me extra. It's been a week and the bruises are still there but fortunately I can cover them up with a concealer now. read more

I was referred to Jackie by a friend who had used her with a Groupon. She did an Ok job on my friend so I thought I would have her do my Brows. I had just had some surgery for breast cancer and was not feeling so pretty. I was told brows make you look younger and like I said before.. after Cancer I did not feel very pretty. I told her all about my Cancer so she knew I really wanted to just feel pretty again. So I let her do my brows. She messed them up badly. They were very crooked (not related at all) One higher and thicker than the other. I was so unhappy.I texted her the picture that evening and to my friends as well. I agreed to wait and see as swelling does occur. It really was BAD ! Also her Gal that did Eyelash extensions charged me 150.00 for what was to be a 39.99 Groupon deal. She made me waith several weeks before I could get an appointment to try to correct the original mistake. The second set were 100 times worse, even higher and thicker, still not even close to the same shape and style. She tried to blame it on me. I said I can not see up close, you are the professional so I trusted what you said. After waiting the entire summer with my brows looking hideous, she made an appointment for me to come in ( to a different location) to have Tatoo removal. I was NOT NUMB AT ALL and she continued with the torture treatment. I left there with blood running down my face. I has scabs for weeks.. had to cancel all social activity, and work like this. After several weeks, it was apparent the procedure she used did not work. I contacted her and she suggested that she put a new set of brows on and remove the existing ones at a later date. At this point I realized I was not dealing with someone who was playing with a full deck. I have sought the help of Professionals who have advised me to get her insurance information as this could be very expensive to try to repair. I have Permanent scarring. Jackie at first told me she was out of town and would get me the information when she got back. She did not give me the info. She said she contacted her insurance company and they told her not enough time had passed to see if I had permanent scarring, that I had to wait. That story did not fly and I told her so. She refused to give me the info, she will not return calls or texts. She has left me no choice but to stoop to using Social media to get her attention. I should have known better, when she said "Don't buy the Groupon, she would give the same deal for cash", as she had to pay Groupon half the money. My bad for trying to save money. The idea here is to let others know that she has ABSOLUTELY NO INTEGRITY !! BEWARE EVERYONE. SHE IS NOT A LEGITIMATE BUSINESS PERSON. Three days before my appointment she texted me to be prepared to pay a 10% gratuity of the original price of $475 at the time of service, the Groupon was $79. I understand that when you are in business, advertising is expensive, so Groupon is priceless exposure. However to tell me what to tip was insulting and it turned me off to her. Plus it was for brush strokes for brows, so seriously it can't take much time and money for ink. A GRATUITY is GRATITUDE for a job well done, I didn't even have a chance to evaluate her work and she expects a $47 tip. I contacted Groupon to let them know I thought this was a bad business practice and they refunded my money. Too bad I would have loved to had the procedure done.
