Great online store but had to give it a 4 star only because they took a while to email me a purchase confirmation and did not reply to my email when I emailed customer service. They ended up adding tracking information which was also weird because it stayed stuck on out for delivery and never showed it had arrived at the fedex hold location. I drove down there and my package was already there. I signed for it and the two bottles I ordered were packaged in great condition! I ordered a very expensive bottle of whiskey here and it never arrived. I have gone back and forth with support, and they said they would issue me a new bottle because the previous one never arrived and was signed for as "C19" by the package deliver, but never had the recipient actually sign. Then all of a sudden they stopped replying to me. Do not order here! Huge scam! My bottle of Blandings I bought for my boyfriend came completely empty with the top off like someone drank it! So unprofessional!!! When I called for the help the "manager" said that he couldn't help me and proceeded to hang up on me stating that he wasn't going to deal with my "attitude"! I paid 200 dollars to have a bottle shipped to me open and drank!! Also an update!! I spoke to the customer service representative who said that he was not going to refund me because I left reviews that were accurate to my situation. This company is a scam. Do not order from here! If someone called me apologizing and told me I was going to get my money refunded I would take down any review of this place. However the customer service representative simply stated 'I am on my own' and is keeping my almost 200 dollars while I have an empty bottle from my purchase! read more

I sent two expensive bottles of 1942 as a Christmas gift, they arrived most horribly packed with no card inside. I never have been so embarrassed of a gift in my life. I was a little worried because of some other reviewers who said they didn't get anything, but it honestly sounds like their issues are with the shipping companies rather than the establishment itself. Ordered from here and received all 3 bourbons I ordered at a much better price than I could find elsewhere. I have visited and ordered from Third Base many many times. They have always exceeded my expectations! I had a slight issue with a order due to the carrier a quick call to Third Base and everything was resolved they are a responsive group. The store is a good size usually fully stocked and clean. Staff is helpful it's always been a pleasuring experience. I drive 150 miles on the day before Thanksgiving for there 25% off sale there low prices seem to put things lower then cost on some not most items but for me it's well worth it. I got to know one of the owners and he's always helpful and take care of special release requests when he can. Keep up the good work! read more

Was one of my favorite stores in Grover Beach until today. Last night I bought 3 puff bars on their buy 3 deal. Two of the bars don't work so I went back today just hoping to exchange them. Guy at the counter was no help and said all sales are final and I should have been told that last night. So I said I am just out the 26 bucks and his answer was yep. The owner and employee, maybe an 18 yr, old disrespectful KID, both asked me to leave!!!!!!! Only because I was upset about the Mini-Cooper in front of me being unoccupied, because she was inside peeing, I come, Pump my gas, then pull forward into parking spaces, instead of leaving my Vehicle in everyone else's path, Real Rude! And then because I was upset, they asked me to LEAVE, They should have asked the woman that was driving inconsiderate Mini-Cooper, I will never be back, and I also have a friend that employed as a cook at Third Base, Beware, they serve OLD MEAT, CHICKEN and a whole lot MORE! After reading the reviews, it appears that this place does not consider customer service a priority. I went in to pick up some items I had called & reserved. When I went in a young man was behind the counter & did acknowledge me. I asked him to put his mask on, which was hanging from one ear, and he replied "it's a free country". I then asked to speak with a manager & he said he wasn't there. I knew where the manager's office was so went there & yep, he was there. I told him about the encounter with his employee but he didn't seem concerned. No excuses or apologies offered. I probably should have just walked out at that point. I will never shop here again & will encourage others to avoid this place like the plague they seem to spreading. read more

I went in last night to buy some wine (overpriced). As I walked in three employees were standing around the register laughing and dropping F bombs. One was dressed like he worked in the freezer. After purchasing several items a short clerk just walked away. I asked him if I could get a bag and he seemed annoyed and just put a bag on the counter and walked away again. What a jerk! A taller much nicer clerk came over after seeing what happened and bagged my items for me and thanked me. He obviously understands customer service. Went to get gas and dealt with the most rude clerk I have ever dealt with in my 69 years on this planet, went in and he held my card for gas for pump 5, went back in cause the pump never was turned on so I go back in to get my card and stand in line while he shoots the breeze with some people he obviously knew, I get up there finally and I ask for my card back, what card he says, I said the one i just gave you for pump 5 that you never turned on, so he gives me the card back with no appologe and on my way out tells me to don't come back.
