Selection is excellent, and the staff are attentive and very knowledgeable. Do lean on them for advice, as they live and breathe this stuff, and are a great resource in what is essentially a luxury goods warehouse of daunting scale. the search begins with an iPad which you filter your searches to this location. That shows everything they have in stock. You then work with your sales associate to identify the items you would like to see. They are then found in the warehouse and brought to you for review. If you come here as a serious shopper, you will be here a while, as the scale is impressive and exciting. Have fun.

I requested that the return fee be waived, as I intended to return the item due to its condition. However, Juliette from Client Concierge informed me that the returned item would be evaluated by their representatives, who would determine whether an odor was present. This response disregarded my experience as the customer. Additionally, she suggested that I may simply be more sensitive to smells, which I found dismissive and unprofessional. After this experience with Fashionphile, I will not be returning or recommending this company to anyone I know.

The market is…read moreone of the oldest and largest weekly flea markets in New York City, running every Sunday with both indoor and outdoor vendors. It has a fun and lively vibe with a mix of vintage items, handmade crafts, jewelry, artwork, clothing, collectibles, and food stands all in one place. What we liked most was how easy it was to spend a few hours just walking around and exploring different local vendors and small businesses. The market feels very New York, with lots of unique finds and creative products you do not usually see in regular stores.

It made my visit to the Bazaar all the more pleasant. I've been coming to Grand Bazaar for more years than I care to remember, having taken a break for ten -- okay twenty -- years. Can't put my finger on why, perhaps I'm not as interested as I used to be. While the market is vibrant and busy, it's not as it was. Perhaps not as much diversity in wares. (I used to get a lot of pottery, art and vintage jewelry.) Back in the day, my friends and I would go to the East Village and buy funky old fur jackets for a song. I kind of had that in the back of my mind coming here. (There are many vintage coat vendors.) But prices have risen considerably. (What hasn't?!) The market is open Sundays, year 'round. Despite buying nothing, I know I'll be back. (Maybe coats get cheaper when it's warmer.) Plus, I like strolling around on the upper westside, which has a different flavor than the eastside, where I live.

A friend of mine is opening a small artisan consignment shop, and we were able to find amazing store displays--stand shelving, a bench, and several other pieces that helped create the perfect rustic yet chic, neutral look she was going for. The staff and volunteers were incredibly pleasant, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. Parking is free, and I highly recommend going early during the weekday to make it easier to find a spot and less crowed. This place truly carries everything you could need for your home--sofas, bedroom and office furniture, bathroom items (from sinks to toilets), pots, home décor, light fixtures, shelving... you name it, they likely have it. They are constantly receiving new donations, so you never know what you'll find on a daily or weekly basis. Every time we thought we had found everything we needed, we decided to take one more look--and each time, we discovered even more great items. On top of that, it feels especially good knowing that your purchases support such a meaningful and worthwhile organization. If you have furniture or home items to donate, this is absolutely a place to bring them. I will definitely be back and highly recommend stopping in--you never know what treasures you'll find!
