Selection is excellent, and the staff are attentive and very knowledgeable. Do lean on them for advice, as they live and breathe this stuff, and are a great resource in what is essentially a luxury goods warehouse of daunting scale. the search begins with an iPad which you filter your searches to this location. That shows everything they have in stock. You then work with your sales associate to identify the items you would like to see. They are then found in the warehouse and brought to you for review. My item arrived with a strong, unpleasant odor. When I reported the issue to customer service, I felt my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. I requested that the return fee be waived, as I intended to return the item due to its condition. However, Juliette from Client Concierge informed me that the returned item would be evaluated by their representatives, who would determine whether an odor was present. This response disregarded my experience as the customer. Additionally, she suggested that I may simply be more sensitive to smells, which I found dismissive and unprofessional. They CANNOT hold items! The system will break even if they offer! Staff was lovely and kind, and offered to hold a watch I was looking at for a day until their tech could return on weekday since I noticed some damage - I visited on Sunday and they were returning Monday. System error had someone else purchase the watch overnight Sunday despite an assurance it would be fine if I waited, and they will not reverse a placed order by someone else. Disappointing! I personally had an amazing experience here. I have been a FASHIONPHILE customer for over a decade & was interested to visit the NY showroom when in the area. The building it's in is somewhat weird to find & the security personnel for the building were a bit unprofessional. You check in with your id and they give you a pass you scan to get to the elevators. It's pretty confusing. When you get to the actual FASHIONPHILE suite, you then check in at the desk as well and walk to showroom. This place is absolutely incredible and the space exceeded my expectations. You walk down a long hallway and can actually see into many of the purse cages in the back. Just so cool to see. The main space has beautiful views and windows everywhere. I worked with Karen and she was chill and so helpful. You pick out everything you want to see on an iPad and they bring everything out. I was looking at a lot of their more highly priced bags and they couldn't have been more accommodating. It was a huge deal to see all the different sizes in person and inspect each item. They didn't hover over me at all. I give props to these sales associates because I know most people come in here to just look (most of what I saw when visiting). But they still treat people well even though they probably know they aren't buying anything. I ended up buying a pricer bag here because I was so comfortable doing so after my experience. Unless you really need to visit this specific location, I wouldn't recommend going shopping as it's difficult to get to. Parking is not easy and the security staff took a long time to check us in. The elevators had buttons on the outside instead of inside. The lobby location was before the food court which was weird and not listed outside. The staff was relaxed and you ask them for the specific item ID. The conveyor belt brings the item from the warehouse to the shopping area. It's interesting and I would've liked a tour of the inside. Not much was on display so it was more like online shopping in real life. Really out of the way and inconvenient for tourists without a car. Not close to anything fun either. read more

I had such a great experience at the Fashionphile NYC Flagship Store in Chelsea. The store is absolutely stunning--huge, modern, and feels like a luxury warehouse mixed with a classy, trendy department store. If it's your first time, you might honestly get a little lost because the space is massive (in the best way ). I came in today to sell without an appointment, and the receptionist, Zack was incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating with no issues at all. I was directed to Glenn, the selling representative, who made the entire process easy, smooth, and very comfortable. He even offered still water, shared the Wi-Fi password, and encouraged me to relax in their beautiful showroom filled with plush sofas, high-tops, tons of natural light, and so much space. Walking through the hallway, you'll find a gorgeous white wall and designer bag wallpaper with fashion encyclopedia displays--such a cool touch. Stopped by to look at a bunch of handbags on a rainy Sunday. It's a huge open loft close to 26th and 10th with great natural light and a bunch of mirrors. When I was there there were 10 or so customers there. They had 2 women at the front desk, 2-3 people assisting buyers and 1 assisting sellers, so didn't have to wait for help. Staff told me they have over 18,000 items here. Staff were some of the most fashionable gays and theys I've ever seen, and they're clearly into bags as well. They have little inventory on the shop floor, but you can ask to see any item on the website that's at this location, and they will bring it out pretty quickly. (Keep in mind a lot of their inventory is either in the Calabasas location or otherwise not in store). I wish I was able to walk the back room. You can see little peeks of it through a cage and it's impressive. I probably looked at 10-12 bags over the course of an hour, which was very efficient. Overall I found their grading system to be fair, ie I had a hard time seeing damage on bags that were graded as "shows wear." A couple of things I wanted to see they couldn't find. I get that once something is misplaced it's probably impossible to find with so much stuff. I would definitely buy from this store, but from reading other reviews I would only pick up a bag rather than having it shipped. Just took expensive to risk problems. read more

As a customer, I really like Fashionphile. Everything I have purchased has met or exceeded my expectations and their packaging and presentation are better than the competition. As a seller, I really disliked my experience with Fashionphile. If I were to try to sell to them again I would opt for the virtual appraisal appointment as their Chelsea showroom is basically at the end of the universe of New York City, aka the Starrett-Lehigh building. Once you do make it to the showroom you can't help being impressed by the massive vault of handbags and the showroom which is very stylish with Hudson River views. Views aside, I was there to sell a $2,600 Cartier necklace and they offered me slightly over half the original price. What's nice is the offer is good for 30 days, so I shopped around and went with a competitor's better offer. If I had to do it all over again I might be tempted to accept the lower offer from Fashionphile to just be done with the transaction, because they pay you upfront. Their competitor paid me $200 more, but this was after 4 months of follow up, my item selling and being returned at least once, and the other company losing my necklace. read more

Having purchased from the website a few times, I was excited to finally check out the store! It's located in the Starrett-Lehigh building on the 4th floor (if you're walking past delivery trucks/warehouse, you've gone too far). When you enter the building, you'll check in with the security desk before going upstairs. Once you get up to the suite, you'll check in with the front desk, then be directed down a long hallway (see pic) to the showroom. You can some of the inventory behind bars as you walk down the hall. There's also a restroom down this hallway. The showroom itself is huge, with several seating areas and sales associates. There's jewelry on display by the windows, and bags on the opposite wall. I was surprised with how little is out on display, but I suppose it makes sense due to the value of the items. It would be nice if there were some shoes, belts, and other accessories on display though. I was greeted and advised to take a look around the store and on the website as the majority of items are not on display - The sales associate Yanesza was eager to bring out any pieces I want to see. She gave me space to look around, yet was attentive when I needed something. I looked at a few bags and tried on shoes. Didn't end up buying anything as I had an appointment to get to. That said, it was a fun and relaxed shopping experience. I felt no pressure or judgement. Overall it was a great experience. Everyone was kind and helpful, from the building security to the front desk and sales associate. Maybe I should have read the reviews before I "stopped by" Fashionphile because I had no idea what to expect and was a bit lost, but I don't think that should take away from their rating - just do your research and ask questions in advance. Here's the rundown: 1) It is located on the 4th floor of an office looking building (the Starrett-Lehigh building) next to some warehouses. I walked right past it. Check in at the front desk and tell them you are going to Fashionphile. They will ask for your ID and give you a sticker with your name and a QR code to access the elevators. There are a lot of elevators and some of them are freight elevators that you can't access. Find one with a touch screen where you can touch "4" to take you to 4. Once you get to 4, it's still a bit of the maze. Follow the signs past the restrooms and you'll see a security guard outside of Fashionphile. He can also tell you the security code for the restroom. 2) When you get inside there is a receptionist that will find your fashionphile account and create an appointment for you on the spot. I imagine you can pre-book (I think you have to if selling) but didn't seem necessary for shopping. Then you walk down a long corridor with cages of bags and walk in to a beautiful showroom with couches and a great view. 3) From here, the way to shop is via an ipad with the filter set to "New York". ?Just add the items you want to see to the cart and hand it to a salesperson. Tip - do this at home before you come in and they can just pull the bags that you want. 'They only bring out a few bags at a time. There's complimentary water and very friendly staff. To be honest, the reason I decided to go to the store to begin with was because I was overwhelmed with all the options on the site. Going to the store does not help this as you are still shopping on the site and they don't have too many bags on display. Make sure to have an idea what you are looking for before going. I did not at all feel pressured to buy anything, but I did want to because the service and environment was so great. I ended up looking at some different versions of the same bag at different price points and honestly couldn't tell the quality difference (this was something very helpful about seeing the bags in person). I ultimately decided to order a bag from the San Diego store, because it was even cheaper than anything they had in store and I aleady knew that quality didn't vary much at different price points. I got a free nail file (a "fashionphile") with my purchase. Shopping here definitely feels like shopping at any high end boutique and the quality of the bags makes them feel new. If you are in the market for a designer bag, I highly recommend starting your search here! The bag I got in particular is a retired gucci product which is no longer in circulation. I don't want to discredit the 1 star reviews because that's their truth and they had a reason to leave such a review however just like everything in life you experience is not ever going to be the same as the next person and in this case i will give fashionphile 5/5 stars 1. I returned a high-value item to their NYC location -- and days later, I got an email stating the box was "untampered with and properly packaged"... but empty. No photos. No unpacking documentation. Just an implication that I failed to include the item. Meanwhile, I was doing everything I could to be transparent: providing receipts, photos, proof of delivery, and multiple follow-ups. Clueless people look up what you might want on a computer, so there is no way you can see the items you want until they arrive on a conveyor belt. Understand that what you have seen on the computer is likely as not to be at one of their California locations. To see it, you must pay in full in advance with an option to get a full refund within fifteen days of receipt. Fashionphile sells only designer handbags and jewelry. They advertise endlessly. Fashionphile has been dishonest, careless, and completely unprofessional. I purchased an AP Royal Oak after explicitly asking about any prior damage history in-store. They lied. They told me it had no issues, just routine service. But after receiving it, Audemars Piguet themselves confirmed it had water damage--something Fashionphile never disclosed. They also falsely claimed the dial was restored, when in reality, it was replaced, which massively impacts its value. Then came the shipping disaster. They threw this expensive, delicate timepiece into a massive box with ZERO bubble wrap, no side protection, and didn't even mark it fragile. The watch bounced around for two days, yet they act like this is fine. And the worst part? Sam, the so-called "watchmaker" handling this, has been condescending, dismissive, and full of excuses. I have asked multiple times to escalate this to someone above him--he has ignored me every time. Now, he has completely stopped responding because they have no real solution and no accountability. This is not a misunderstanding. Fashionphile hid damage, failed to disclose critical history, mishandled the watch in transit, and is now refusing to address the situation. I have reached out through every available channel--live chat multiple times, numerous emails, & several phone calls--yet I continue to receive the same empty promises that a supervisor will contact me. No one ever does. The phone experience has been particularly frustrating: I waited 40 minutes only to be disconnected for a "team meeting," over an hour another time before being told offices had closed, & 1.25 hours with no answer at all. Each chat & email interaction ends with assurances that my concern is being escalated, but these words ring hollow when no meaningful action follows. Beautiful selection and location, subpar service. First off, it was very unclear how to get to the actual store. You have to check in with the front desk/security and then take an elevator up. I had intended to make an appointment but was unable to find the link to do so. I tried calling the location multiple times (on multiple days) but no one answered. Do keep in mind that they stop taking walk-ins thirty minutes prior to closing (wish this was disclosed on their website as well). I walked in and was delighted to see their huge selection of designer bags, all arranged by color. It was like a library! The location itself is stunning, with panoramic views of the river. It felt more like a gallery than a retail store. Unfortunately, I was not acknowledged by the employees and had to wait several minutes to receive any service. I had pieces in mind that I wanted to try and was only able to try on three at a time. The associate helping me was not friendly and took an extremely long time to retrieve the pieces I wanted. I probably waited twenty minutes to try on the pieces (and this is after I checked in with multiple associates to see if I was still being helped). The environment at Fashionphile is almost too low-pressure -- while I enjoyed having the time being able to try on the pieces on my own, no one stopped by to check in on me. The employees almost seemed irritated when I asked for help and to return the items. If you plan on stopping in, make sure you carve out at least an hour to try on pieces. BUYER BEWARE - do not, I REPEAT DO NOT spend your hard-earned money here. If you are looking to purchase something and are concerned you might return it, this is NOT the company for you. I have shopped at Fashionphile 3x - I much prefer Vestiaire overall and TRR's return policy and payouts are way more flexible. I've submitted quotes for items here as well and their quotes are an absolute JOKE. (A rare YSL bag I purchased secondhand for $1200 from over $2k was offered around $300, a Chanel cuff retailing somewhere from $2-3k and selling elsewhere for $1600 was offered a measly $400.) My last straw with them comes from the last 2 weeks, when I purchased a pair of shoes from them that looked to be in near new condition on the website. The bottoms looked almost completely clean save 1 or 2 small marks on the outer sides. When I received the shoes, they were beautiful, but a) did not match what I needed them for and b) had significantly more wear than depicted on the site. I would guess they had been worn at LEAST once already. I tried them on once on carpeted and light marble floors, and seeing as they didn't match what I needed them for I decided to return them. Note: this was the second time I had purchased something from them that had more wear/damage, and I thought nothing of it when I packaged them up same-day and returned them. After the holiday weekend, they sent me a blurry photo with the same shoes back in their hands, thrown on someone's desk, now looking absolutely TRASHED. They look like they've been worn an additional 1-2 times and are in an even WORSE condition from when I first received and mailed them out! They accused me of having worn these (EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE RETURNED WITH THE TAG STILL ATTACHED AND UNREMOVABLE SAVE CUTTING THEM OFF!!) and are insisting there's no possible way anyone mishandled them or there's any fault on their end. They are deducting me $300+ from an original purchase price of about $800 and offered to "buy them back" for $550. They offered me a store credit for the full amount even though I reminded them this is now the second time I've received an item from them that did not match what was on the website, nor did I feel comfortable shopping with them for now. I escalated this all the way up to their senior-most client services department head, Jessica, who again basically told me that they did "everything possible" on their end and refused to refund me. I was also promised they'd be retrieving video footage of how these shoes were handled upon receipt of my return, which has not materialized. This is a total scam, and considering other reviews have mentioned something similar, I would not put it past them to be offering this as punishment for making returns or some form of making a few extra dollars to meet quota when their already overpriced items aren't selling. I received my $550 and checked the website - and guess what, they're selling the shoes for nearly the EXACT SAME PRICE. They knocked off a whole $40, yet charged me $300+. Well, I certainly hope the extra $300 is worth the negative press they're about to receive from me! I will no longer be shopping with them or recommending them to anyone, which I've done many times in the past. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, the FTC, and local news stations. Again, they have both the shoes back in their hands AND the means to resell them in the condition they're in. Meanwhile, I have been robbed of $300+ dollars for trying them on ONCE in my own home. I've been buying and selling my luxury goods to Fashionphile for years. I've had nothing but pleasant moments. The showroom is to die for.

I am a fan of Fashionphile. Over the years I have purchased a few items, they have always surpassed my expectations. And I love browsing their website. Recently I planned to sell some designer bags and decided to try Fashionphile. While they do have a process in place to sell online, I prefer to do it in person, and their nearest showroom is in NYC. I no longer live in NYC, but planned to be there on another matter and decided to visit the showroom while I was there. Two weeks prior I called to make an appt. The phone was not answered. I was connected to voice mail and left a message for the time and day I could come in. No response. I tried again a few days later. Same - no response. I tried, and tried, and tried. No one ever answered the phone, no one ever responded to any messages left. I gave up. The website says appts are optional, but since my time was limited I really wanted an appt. A few days prior to my trip to NYC I finally got a call from an employee based in Texas. An appt was made, at a less than ideal time for me, but doable. (I wondered how other people were able to get appt times I preferred). I looked on Yelp and saw some negative reviews. It made me think I was making a mistake going to Fashionphile, but decided to take a chance anyway. As negative and frustrating as my experience was in advance of my appt, my experience at the showroom was completely the opposite - in particular Jack and Zach, who run the front desk. Both are very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. When I arrived my appt, which was confirmed in an email, was not on their books. Yet everyone there went out of their way to make sure I was accommodated in the time I had available. Everyone I came in contact with at the showroom was very nice and helpful. Also Angela (from Philadelphia) took the time to have a great chat with me. Every employee I came in contact with were really lovely and great assets to Fashionphile. I hope they are truly appreciated for all they do. I was pleased with the $ offered for my items, and sold my bags. It gives a terrible first impression. Also there could be a lot more (any?) information on your website about selling (# of items per visit, timing, how to get an appt, etc). Definitely a very high end luxury second hand store. Everything is in excellent condition where you wonder if you are buying everything new or second hand. Their buyback is very strict and it is based on the popularity of the item, the conditions, the days where the similar bags have been sitting in their inventory. Their buyback is about 1/3 of their selling price. Please don't assume they will buy every piece you bring in, even if your pieces are in very good condition. read more

I ordered from online and they shipped me what I believe to be a fake bag. They consider themselves "expert authenticators" but they couldn't see the difference between a real or fake leather handbag- which I feel is obvious when you feel it and smell the material the bag is made of. If it smells of chemicals and paint- there is a problem. This company seems to buy fakes for their online videos of "real or fake" and they only can guess the fake when they buy it themselves. Fashionphile pays influencers to talk nicely about them- one influencer in particular is always posting on tiktok about their authentication services....another influencer is one of their employees and he even has a video about a 'super fake birkin' and how you can't tell the difference between it or the real one... so we are trusting that this company won't sell us a fake?? Yet they have access to fakes consistently?? Fashionphile also partnered with another influencer who wore fake Birkins and sold fake birkins. Check tiktok for the tea. That influencer posted videos and took them down but people recorded them before they were deleted, and he was called out in his lie that made no sense with the factual proof. Fashionphile has also relisted multiple handbags on their site when they clearly are being returned due to smart customers realizing it's just a high quality fake. It's unfortunate because people who don't have experience buying and owning from brand names - they try to get a deal here and can't tell the difference because they don't have authentic to compare to. They seem to have a mix of authentic and fake- so try to visit the show room if you live near by so you can inspect them in person before buying. Still- I wouldn't recommend buying from them. I only purchased from here because the bag I wanted was an older season and completely sold out- my sales associate from the flagship store couldn't get it for me and I had to look at the second hand market.
