We were in town for a softball tournament and called ahead to see if they could accommodate our team. Walking into the badger it was cozy and felt like a cabin. The wait staff was ready and the processed our orders with speed and efficiency. The food is typical bar food with some twists. But was excellent and not typically greasy like you find in these local spots. Would highly recommend and will be back when in town again. read more

I heard about this establishment all the way in Minnesota and I wanted to go out for a little ride on the motorcycle. The bar and grill was a good hour and a half away with traffic. So when we rode up I love the fact that they were motorcycle friendly, they have a spot for only Motorcycles to park. Also there was plenty of parking for vehicles, they even had parking in back of the bar and grill. When we came in we were greeted by a gal named Sierra, she was very kind, helpful, and patient with us. Seeing as though it was our first time we had to look over the menu thoroughly to make sure we were certain on what we wanted to eat. We ended up getting the chips and buffalo chicken dip for an appetizer. Sierra put in our order and the app came out fairly quick. It was very delicious, I like how it had a nice zip to it but not to over the top where you would need to find water to cool off. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, and my other half ordered the quesadilla tender melt. The cook was very friendly, and we gave him our feedback on the dip we had, how great it was. When our food arrived it looked delicious, and we couldn't wait to give it a try. The food was really good, everything was seasoned just right. We were also greeted by Tiffany, checking to see how we were doing. I really like feeling special, the locals seemed like good people, everyone at the bar and grill were friendly, kind, and helpful. We will definitely have to return to this establishment, I wish all restaurants could take some notes from Sierra and Tiffany's book on how a customer should feel when they go to an establishment. It's the little things, and this place has it figured out. Thank you for making my visit wonderful, I'll see you all next time. I attended a hockey tournament there this weekend (10/14/23) and ended up dining with a youth team at Thirsty Badger. I estimated 20 families dined in at an average of three to a family so it essentially packed the place. Like most establishments they were light on staff but who could tell. These waitresses were hustling to feed these hungry hockey players and their parents. Amazing menu and beer selection! I heard nothing but praise from the players and parents directed at the staff for there fantastic performance! I ordered a side salad, which was amazing! I also ordered a chicken caesar wrap, which was equally delicious! Oh yea...how could I forget the cheesy gooey Mac n cheese...yummmmy!!! This place is just your hometown bar but with spotted cow on top. Loved the locals- friendly talkative and didn't mind an out of towner. Beer was cold and refreshing. Ordered the Wisconsin grilled cheese- which was interesting. No freaken clue how they came with the concept but 3 cheeses and pulled pork and pepperoni on a grilled cheese?!? Freaken wild. Stopped in for lunch while on vacation from Iowa. HUGE outdoor bar area that looks fun at night. Bar/restaurant area is clean. Quite a few people for midweek. I had the Cuban which was delicious and very generous. Wife had the turkey sandwich and was equally pleased. Service by the bartender was great. This place seems out of the way but well worth it. This place is fantastic! We're not from the area but we were in town to get some auto work done and someone recommended we stop in for a burger and beer while we waited. I'm so glad we did! I love the outside patio, the staff is friendly and the food is great! We've been back a couple times now and everything always tastes great....the burgers, wings, fries, tacos, all of it is high quality and not too greasy or boring. Fresh veggies and sauces, it's honestly my ideal bar. I wish we lived closer! read more

Came here after checking yelp. Reasonably busy. Wife ordered the chicken bacon wrap with homemade ranch dressing and loved it. I ordered the black and bleu burger medium rare. Burger came medium well and didn't even cover the bun. Flavor was ok. Suspect that you should order anything but burgers here. read more

We were in town and decided to stop in due to how close it was to our hotel. Wanted something casual. The beer was cold and the food was phenomenal! Best fried pickles we've ever had! Good bar with a full food menu. Happy hour prices are very affordable, otherwise drink prices are about average (if not slightly more expensive) for the area. The interior is a bit smaller, but they have a full outdoor tiki bar with seating and a stage for bands in the summer. read more

We have gone there several times and have had a great experience with service and food. However, a couple of weeks ago we stopped in and now we won't be back. It was a Friday night around 4 pm. The place was not busy. We walked in and sat down at the bar. Even though the bartender knew we were there she waited first on 3 people who walked in after us. She kept talking to the other patrons and ignored us completely. Needless to say we walked out without ordering. When we got home, we called the manager to complain. He said he would check into it and get back to us in a couple of days. Over a week later and we have not been contacted. Very disappointed and will not recommend this place. Would have given no stars but it will not let me post without one star. read more

First time going to this joint and I find the regulars certainly get special treatment! An older couple enters and sits down next to me. It doesn't take long before I realize there's history between them and the bartender. After she rings the couple up I hear the man say he has a penny as they must've been a penny short. The bartender says "Don't worry about it" and goes on about her business. I assume she's pulled a penny from the tip jar or some sort of spare change holder. Well, a couple of days later I see the bartender charged a $0.01 charge to my card aside from the tab I accrued. Now, here's the thing. You ask me for a penny, I'll run out to my car, grab some lose change and make it rain!! That, however, was underhanded. It's the principal of the thing. And I can tell you what that one cent cost them. My business. I'm not one of these people who says I won't give someone my business and go back on my word either. When I'm done with a business or organization, that's it. I'm done. And perhaps you may see things differently but for me even the slightest of deception is too much. Went for an early dinner on Friday night. They had outdoor seating - it was very well manicured and lighting was just right. They have an awesome catalpa tree - a conversation piece for sure. Furniture was functional. The bar was par with the competition - only they couldn't prepare margaritas - don't know why. Very friendly wait and bar staff. Had a relaxed dinner - with appetizers and a full menu. I would definitely recommend this place - enjoyed it. Probably great later on the weekend nights when they have bands playing outside. I didn't go inside the main bar, and be aware there is an outhouse in the back of the outdoor seating area. LOL! read more
