Decent pizza. Nice selection on tap and fun seasonal drinks. Space was cool and gave off chill vibes. Our server was great and nice.

We were lucky to get a table here, without too long a wait, during a recent weekend visit, ESPECIALLY in the middle of a busy street festival!! Big, but somehow cozy, we snagged a great window seat and were greeted pretty quickly by a friendly, patient (in spite of being SUPER busy...) server. Plenty of options for just about every preference on the beer list; sticking with the season, I ordered a pumpkin ale that was so-so, but not too bad. Plenty of interesting choices on the food menu as well, and maybe I **should** have indulged in one of the more tempting (caloric!!) choices, but since the weekend was quickly turning into a creamy, chowder-fueled N.E. free for all FOOD FEST, I decided to be "good" and get the beet salad, which was reasonably good and semi guilt-free!! I liked the comfortable atmosphere here, service and prices were both good, and if I lived in the area, I'd probably be here pretty often!! Mmmmmmmoose Taphouse!!

Lazy Sunday brought us here. I have been here before but it may have been a different restaurant. Space is nice with huge windows that bring the inside out. Salads were fresh as was the hummus plate. I could've used more veggies and less feta and pepperocinis btw. The prime rib sliders were yummy with a nice horseradish kick. Coke products! Staff was really friendly and attentive. Great place for a couple of beers on a cool night!

What a scam. $20 for the tiniest sandwich imaginable. This place used to be good but has obviously gotten greedy over its high prices and tiny portions.

Grabbed a quick dinner here on a Wednesday night with visiting family, ordered drinks, pizza and wings. When the pizza came out they had messed up the order making it a half plain and sausage pie which i wasn't upset about. Our server noticed and seemed arguably more dissatisfied than us and offered us a free round of beers on the house. Free? Beer? Free beer? Say less. The wings here also also worth to note, despite being a full wing that you had to break in half (which I didn't know was a thing prior) they offered a Smokey flavor, with just the right about of heat. 8/10 experience all around, another solid night in Dover!

We (the family) were in Somersworth and asked for a recommendation for a casual dinner (Thank you Kevin at Cricket Wireless) and he suggested The Thirsty Moose. We checked the Yelp reviews and pics and decided to make the 2.8 mile journey to The Thirsty Moose. When we arrived the place was full and all of the outdoor seating was taken. No problem, we were told it was only a 20-25 min wait. They took my name and phone number, saying they would text when our table was ready. We are ok a still around town while we waited. My phone pinged just 20 mins later and we were seated. Our server, Amy, was personable and efficient and offered some great suggestions since this was our first time there. What we got: Smoked Chicken Wings with a side of jerk sauce. The wings were awesome. Jerk sauce was fantastic with just a touch of heat. A+ would get again and make a meal of this! Garlic Knots: pretty basic garlic knots but super soft dough with good flavor. The marinara sauce was delish. Huge portion. My daughter loves these. Fish Tacos: Daughter says she really like these. Fish was cooked nicely, with a crisp coating but not too breaded. Generous portion with a spicy kick. She described these as "pretty good" Cobb Salad: Outstanding! This is one of my favorites and they did an excellent job with this. Super huge salad with grilled chicken, bacon, avocado etc. Very fresh and I could eat this every day. The blue cheese dressing is obviously house made and it was sooo good. I could drink it. Of noteñ their ranch dressing was also excellent. Huge salad and this could easily be 3 portions. Of note, I loved the bowl so much I want to order some for home. French Onion Soup: I got a cup and the portion was quite small compared to most crocks of french onion soup. The broth was flavorful but had a sweetness to it. The soup was topped with large salad croutons and melted cheese. It was ok, definitely not a stand out. Rockey Burger: hubba really liked it. It was cooked to his asking (med well) and it was not dry. Huge burger that really held together we'll. He got onion rings and he loves them. Overall, the service was great. Not only from our server, Amy, but also the runners who brought out our food with a smile. We did not have to ask for refills on our drinks since Amy was on too of that before we even asked. We will definitely be back when in the area. Definitely get the smoked chicken wings and make a meal of it with a Cobb salad.

On a President's Day Monday at 1pm, the establishment seemed at just under half occupancy. I thought I needed to wait for seating, but staff said I could pick any table and they'd head over shortly. My friend and I ordered the sausage roll ($12) and scotch egg ($13) appetizers to share, and I ordered the bangers and mash ($19) entree for myself. The sausage roll, cut up into 6 slightly larger than bite-sized pieces, consisted of flaky and buttery pastry with herbal, earthy, and slightly crumbly sausage out of its casing. Imaging homemade breakfast sausage, but less sweet and more sharp. The accompanying brown mustard provided a nice contrast, yet remained relatively mellow. It also came with a bit of field greens so I could pretend to be healthy. The scotch egg arrived as a textbook example of a softboiled egg with a yammy yolk. The outer sausage shell tasted similar to that of the sausage roll. The accompanying chili jam cut down on the savoriness just a touch; it melded tart, spiciness, and sweetness yet also remained mellow, not overpowering the egg. My entree, the bangers and mash, proved exceptional. The peas were some of the brightest, most vibrant, juicy and crisp peas I'd ever had. Each one had just a slight burst at the bite. The caramelized onions adorning the mash had been browned down a long time, like what you'd expect in French onion soup. The mash itself, made from red potatoes, tasted robust and rich without being overly dense or overly reliant on butter (not shaming butter, but these potatoes deserve to shine, not drowned out). The bangers themselves possessed crisp, taunt casings with juicy interiors. I would almost describe it as "fresh" in the same way I would describe high-quality vegetables. Weird, but I don't know how else to express this sentiment. Service was a bit slow, probably from the Monday holiday. Since it was technically a weekday, I was able to order $4.5 bud lite drafts from the happy hour menu (Mon-Fri 1-230pm). Overall, I walked away quite impressed from what was me randomly picking a place to get lunch after being at White Birch Armories at opening to beat the range wait.

Statey has just recently opened up, which replaced State Street & while I live in Vegas now this definitely was on my list of stops while home visiting. I finally got to go in last night to check it out. It is very big & kinda open but not too open around the dinning room area. They have plenty of seating on the floor & around the bar. It was great to see Mo a long time bartender still working for them. They were having karaoke night & they have a nice little stage out back for the "maybe soon to be famous singers to perform on". It started @ 7/8pm (can't remember) & went to midnight. No cover charge to get in. It wasn't very packed here on the Thursday night I went, but I have heard that it does get very packed to the point that you may not be able to get in. So keep that in mind when heading over to check them out! I didn't get anything to eat as I was not hungry. My cousin got the fish sandwich with tatter tots. He said his sandwich was good & I had a few tatter tots which were yummy! They still have their famous lobster roll for a crazy, reasonable, too good to be true price! My Mom had asked me to check on this for her as she loves their (State Street) lobster rolls. I do want to go back before I head home to have one as I have in the past & it was very tasty & they fill the bun up with plenty of lobster meat. They have one of my favorite flavored vodkas, blueberry so I was drinking those up. It was nice & cozy in there, temperature was just right. The bathrooms were clean & they have more then one stale inside their rest room so I never had to wait. State Street had less bathrooms & that would make for a long wait when needing to relieve the bladder. I saw some familiar faces while I was in there. Their door guy for that night, Aaron was a really nice guy. Friendly & smiling all the time. You definitely need to check this place out. Stop by for a drink (or two) and/or a bite to eat! I will be back before heading home & on my future trips back to NH!! So happy that they brought State Street back!!!! Thank You!!!
