Richard was the first vendor I booked for my wedding. As a very anxious, type A person, I was so…read morenervous about choosing the right vendors for my wedding. But when Richard came along, he made me feel so at ease and offered support in any way he could. It felt more like he was a supportive friend than anything else. And honestly, he was the best decision we made. We booked our videographer based on who he worked well with, and we felt comfortable knowing that even if all the other vendors were terrible, Richard was going to be our light on our wedding day. We got to know him during our engagement shoot, and thank goodness we did. Because on our wedding day, it felt like seeing an old friend, which made us so happy to see him and photos easy. Maybe we're more emotional than most, but having someone genuine, respectful, and kind-hearted to be with us on our wedding day weighed more than most other factors. But on top of him as a person, his photos are freaking amazing. The placement and positioning, the poses, the angles -- his art is crafted truly from through years and years of experience. He captured some of the most important moments of the night as well as some moments I didn't even know happened. He makes do with whatever situation is given to him, and he's thinking about different shots all throughout the day while being present and attentive with us. He had some aerial shots of our wedding, and we thought, "did he leave a camera all the way up there this whole time?" He has given us these sweet memories that will last a lifetime, and we are eternally grateful. Richard's the best -- as a human and as a photographer. We wish him only good things in this world. He was our wedding photographer and we couldn't have wished for anything better. He was completely helpful and accommodating during the entire process; from booking, to planning, to the day of the event and even after our wedding was over. First of all the initial meeting with him was great. He had a lot of information examples and work to show us which we liked. He was very nice and has a great sense of humor which made planning our wedding that much easier. He explained everything to us in a very easy way and was more than willing to answer all of our questions. In our first meeting it was very obvious that he has tons of experience and great advice to give. The day of the event was even better. My bride and I both have large, loud, active Hispanic families. Lol. So we were a bit worried that trying to get everyone organized and attentive enough to get the pictures done was going to be hard. Furthermore our church only gave us 20 minutes after the ceremony to get all the pictures done. Joseph said, "leave it up to me and we will get all the pictures you want" He was right!! He was not shy around our 2 crazy families and was able to handle them like he was one of us. He was bold and assertive and that was exactly what we needed. We asked him if we could add a third location of picture taking at my brides house and he said, "sure not a problem". Like I said - super accommodating. He swung by and took a set of pictures that my wife really wanted to have with no problem or hiccups. The rest of the pictures were done at a park by the water in Long Beach. Joseph did a great job of incorporating our surroundings. My bride and I both love the sea and he made sure that all of our pictures had that feeling of being by the water. He had great picture ideas and concepts which made our pictures so much better that we expected. The rest of the wedding went without a hitch. He got every single shot we had hoped and planned to get with him. He told us that being able to tell a complete story of the day was the most important thing in shooting our wedding. We found cheaper photographers, but their photos were not nearly as nice. We really liked Thomas' modern, photo journalistic approach that made it look like a beautiful moment captured in time instead of a forced pose. He has a level of skill that you would normally find in a more expensive photographer, yet he charges a reasonable price. We decided on an engagement session at the Disney Concert Hall and neighboring areas. We had some ideas of our own that Thomas put his own spin on and made them even better than we could've imagined! My husband and I aren't used to having our photos taken and he was very patient with us and made us feel comfortable. The photos turned out so beautiful and unique! We got a ton of compliments on them! For our wedding, Thomas and his team were early and did a wonderful job keeping up with everything.
