They were incredible with my last minute changes & additions. I couldn't have been happier with the way my daughter's wedding turned out. She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.

She offered tons of ideas and thoughts about food and all the options we had available to us. Since The Bastion does not have a LWB license, we supplied our own favorite wines which saved us a lot of our budget allowing us to go with a higher end hors d'oeuvre menu. She came up with a perfect menu of hors d'oeuvres that encompassed all our favorite foods. When our big night was upon us, we were beyond excited to celebrate.
