It really pains me to leave this review, Thomas seems like a genuine and honest guy and likely if I had been contacted by him he probably wouldn't have wasted our time. Unfortunately that pleasure wasn't mine, I was doomed to speak with Freddy. Your caricature used car slimeball salesman. I said exactly what I was looking for exactly how much money I have ready to go. I was test driving the most affordable Prius within reason and Freddy lied to me and said he has a Prius with recent maintenance on his lot. He didn't send any pictures asked if there were any other kinds of cars I'd be interested in- I was explicit, polite but direct and said no. I want a Prius. He then lied to me and said someone is test driving it now. I told him I'll be there in an hour, kick em out it's sold. I arrived and that's when I met Thomas. Clueless to the buffoonery Freddy was up to, he asked "Can I help you?" To which I introduce myself, hello, I'm Carter. I'm here to meet with Freddy for a Prius.. and that's when I knew my time was wasted. Poor Thomas wasn't in on the buffoonery and it's a shame his business is being tarnished by people with a reputation like Freddy. I pulled the advertisement from their website showed Thomas and it turns out they sold that Prius last month and Freddy was blowing smoke up my ass- likely why he wanted to know if there was anything else id be interested in... this is by far the most shady and dishonest car dealer ever. they sold me a car that had to have the engine replace literally only a few days after it was purchased. A mechanic at a reputable shop informed me that this dealership most likely masked the problems with vehicle by putting an extra thick oil in the vehicle. Freddy is my guy. 2007 BMW e85 Z4 3.0si This is a family run business delivering quality listings at market prices. On the test drive I found some play in the steering which was from tired control arm bushings as a result of San Francisco city driving. Also saw the start of oil in the coolant which means old gaskets... par for the course on a car of this vintage with the miles on it. The family team worked to address issues or considerations I had. We struck a fair deal and I am the happy new '2nd' owner of this beauty. The repairs took 6-hours at Phaedrus is San Francisco and was pennies on there dollar to BMW $tealership... High interest loans, high pressure sales. These guys will say anything you want to hear to get you into one of their cars. BUYER BEWARE these are high mile cars or auction vehicles. They do a quick fix in house and get them out the door with extremely limited warrantee. When the car breaks down a short time later you're S.O.L. They were dishonest about credit impact from their credit check and then offered a rate I told them I would'nt pay before they damaged my rating with a hard pull. These guys take advantage of folks with low income or bad credit, they may seem. At first they are aggressively freindly but they are snakes which you will find out when they have you where they want you! BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!! STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Literally go anywhere else you can to buy a car. This business is owned by a lying cheat who does not disclose previous issues with the vehicles he is selling. Purchased my car in 2016 and was told by Kamal himself that the car only had a couple previous owners with no accident history or damage. Well now I am trying to sell my car in hopes of getting something larger, and was informed that the car has reported structural damage. The structural damage was reported in April of 2016 and Kamal sold me the car in July of that same year. He clearly knew about the damage but chose to tell us the car was clean so he could get our money. Nobody wants to buy a car with unknown structural damage. Not only does it affect my resale value, but it is also just flat out dangerous. It is also California law that cars with structural damage must be disclosed in writing for these reasons. Thank God nothing has happened to me in the 5 years I have owned the car, but it is scary to think that something could have, especially after reading previous reviews. Thought we could trust him, as he seemed nice at the time, but it is clear that it was all just an act to finalize the sale. Shameful. If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. So I bought a car from this dealership about a month ago. It was an 05 've passat, see now I understand when you buy a car from a lot like this you buy it 'as-is'. The thing is I noticed problems the day after I bought it (it was about 9:30pm by the time the paperwork finished the day before) it seemed to always try and stall on me when pulling up to a stop sign. About two weeks later car dies as I pulled up to a stop light after getting gas. I called the dealership and they got a hold of there mechanic and nearly a week later he shows up and tells me It's my fuel pump. So I called the dealership and tried to set something up with them to get it fixed, to no avail. I purchased the fuel pump and Replaced it myself. Well that's not even the worst part. I got pulled over today after getting off work and being told by an officer that my registration is a year over due and that's the reason they pulled me over. This place did not inform me my registration is overdue n they lead me to believe it's coming in the mail. The dealership sold me a faulty car with overdue registration and now I'm paying for it. BUYERS BEWARE!!!! By far the WORST place I have EVER done business with. I wouldn't recommend ANYONE go here if your looking to buy a car. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The owner (Kamal Thomas) is a lying crook and will take from you in any which way he can; meanwhile, selling you faulty cars with which he knows have issues. He sold me a car knowing the "brake abs" system was bad, and when confronted the day after purchase, he proceeded to tell me he only "sells piece of shit cars to piece of shit people". He has ZERO respect for women. Kamal has acted nothing but unprofessional during any and all dealings with him, accept for the day I purchased the car because he of course wanted my money. I should of saw the red flags when I gave him $5,000.00 down (in cash) and he told me he was going to claim a lesser down payment to avoid taxes. Had I not been in a place where I needed a car right then and there, I probably would have thought more about it and noticed the red flags, but all I could think about was having a vehicle to get me to and from work. Little did I know, this was just the beginning of many more issues to come. I was told by Kamal, that he would take care of the Brake ABS issue. He needed to research and order the part. When I followed up a few days later, he still hadn't ordered the part. I continued to follow up consistently and was given the run around constantly, until finally one day he decided to tell me the part was too expensive and I was now responsible to pay for half of it. After this, the constant run around continued until it got to a point where he said, "I waited to long". I can't believe this man can sleep at night knowing he rips people off and claims he earns an "honest living". I have had nothing but issues with this car, the brakes were just the first thing noticed. Keep in mind that the car also had electrical issues which included no brake lights, windshield wipers, door locks, etc. I was constantly putting money into this car to make it drivable and street legal, until one day the brakes finally failed completed and my car was slammed into a brick wall. I thought this would be the end of having to deal with this scumbag, but no he had to get over on me one last time. My insurance contacted him to find out what the remaining balance was for my private loan through him. He flat out lied to them and told them some ridiculous number that he and I both know wasn't true. Especially when I have a (signed) receipt from him from my latest installment with the remaining balance on it. I notified my insurance that this was incorrect (and I could prove it) and they recommended I go speak with him and see if we could get it resolved, and if not call them back and we would take appropriate action. So of course I took their advice and thought just maybe he might act professionally and do what's right, so we could be done dealing with each other. Yeah right! He told me, "I got mine and you got your payout, so what's the problem?" He proceeded to tell me that he was told that my insurance was paying him out between the 10th-12th of September and this was considered late because my payments are due on the 3rd of every month. Funny thing is, if you look at my payment history, I always paid my installments around the 10th. I asked Kamal why I was being penalized for something he claims my insurance told him, when this wasn't any different than when he would normally receive payment? How did I know he hasn't already received the check and is just holding onto it? He asked me if I felt like he's holding the check? Meanwhile, there's a HUGE stack of mail sitting on his desk that you can tell hadn't been gone through. This took place on Tuesday the 6th (Sunday no mail and Monday a holiday). He began sifting through the stack of mail in an effort to prove me wrong, and what do ya know!? The insurance check is sitting right there in front of him! Unbelievable! Now, feeling stupid I'm sure, he tells me to come back the following day and there would be a check for me. He needed time to read over the paperwork from insurance and find out the amount to refund. I accepted and went back the following day (7th). I just knew and had that gut feeling that the check would be shorted and not the true balance owed, and what do you know, I WAS RIGHT! I'm in complete shock that he chooses to do business this way and gets you for every last cent that he can. Just some advice if you're looking to buy a car, STAY AWAY from this place!!
