I did not buy my 2019 Colorado ZR2 with the Duramax engine from Thomas. I just stopped in with questions, and to purchase an additional key and remote. Everyone at this dealership was friendly and helpful. A lot of dealerships will give you the brushoff if you did not purchase your vehicle from them. Not so here at Thomas. There's nothing like walking into a dealership intending to buy a $60,000 truck and being ignored. No one was on the sales floor, so we had to walk around looking for someone. Found a live person who said he'd find a salesman. Waited another 5 minutes, and no one arrived. So it's off to the GMC dealer. read more

I won't be buying any more cars from Thomas Chevrolet, or probably from any other Chevy dealer either. To make a long story short, they don't honor the super duper warranty that you spend an extra $25+ on each month (it's supposed to cover everything - scratches, cigarette burns, etc.). Don't fall for it - they won't fix anything. And the oil consumption issue for the 2013 Chevy Equinox is ridiculous. Why Chevy hasn't issued a recall on this problem is beyond me (I guess it would cost them way too much money). But hey, it's okay - I'll just keep living on the edge, checking my oil every week of my life and adding quart upon quart every month or so just to keep my car from blowing up. BEWARE OF BAIT AND SWITCH!!! I'm in the market for a truck. I saw a 2022 on Thomas' website for $36,865. I went into the dealer and test drove the truck. When I asked for numbers I was told the price on the website was incorrect and the cheapest they could sell it for is $45,060. I questioned it and a manager came out and again informed that this was an error and the website had already been updated. Here we are a day later and the price is still $36,865! Very strange and disappointing experience - made an appointment to check out a used car I was very interested in purchasing. Arrived and was questioned about whether or not I had an appointment - I gave my name and pointed to the board where it was clearly written. I was told "I guess I can help you" by a man who never even gave me his name. Just a really bad attitude from the moment I walked in and was shut down immediately after a few questions about whether I planned to finance or buy outright. I brought my car into service to replace a passenger side mirror was charged 360 for a part that was worth half that amount then had to pay 65 for installation and the dealership didn't even finish the installatio. I wonder if I'll get 40 buck in refund for installation of my own plastic mirror cover part that I already had. Took my Cadillac XT5 for a GM drive train warranty repair. Common GM problem - replace the thermostat. Chevy products have the identical failure. This thermostat failure confuses the car causing the ECM to send false error messages to other systems - such as the power steering. After wasting a day not even looking at the car, the service manager called to say that this was a warranty issue - but I had to take it to a Cadillac dealer, they would not honor the warranty. Hmm. They are a GM dealer. Cadillac is a GM brand. Then he told me they could fix the "power steering problem" (there was no power steering problem) for $350 . Reset the error codes etc. So either the service manager is incompetent (he should have known the power steering error was related to the warranty-covered thermostat) or unethical - looking to charge me $350 for a completely unnecessary and stupid service. Then they charged me $165 for a diagnostic fee. AutoZone does the same service for free. From this experience, I could not recommend this service department read more

My car needed a software update. I was told they couldn't do it one day because it looked like rain and their internet goes out when it rains. I'm not kidding! Then my appointment gets moved back a week a day before it was supposed to happen. When I show up for the rescheduled appointment they had no record of my appointment. They fixed the recall repairs but didn't do the software update, again, because their internet doesn't work so good at night. Laughably incompetent. Then to top it off, when my car was ready the service guy who came to get me, unbidden without me saying a single word, grilled me about the debate and my political leanings. read more

Super disappointed. I called in advance and came from 45 minutes away in order to look at a 2004 Malibu. I wanted to purchase it, but knew I needed to take it to a mechanic first to be smart. As I was trying to decide what mechanic to go to, another couple comes in, takes the car for the spin, and buys it. They did not care at all that I had showed up first. It was a very poor customer service choice on their part. Ally and Mark, both of whom I spoke with, were very nice and helpful, but having the dealership sweep the car out from under my feet in a matter of 5 seconds was incredibly rude and disrespectful. I am the original owner and proudly drive a 2010 Chevy Traverse with 187,000 miles on it. Thomas Chevrolet is where I go to service my vehicle! They have consistently delivered on the brand promise of value, performance and a commitment to doing things right for the customer. While I have had moments when a service advisor was not on their "A" game, more often than not I have work with customer service superstars like Matt or Colleen. They really know how to organize the right people for any project and be a strong advocate for the customer. Recently, my car was in for what would ultimately become a major overhaul (timing chain plus AC replacement and a car inspection). I am out of warranty based on my mileage and so everything would be out of pocket. Each step along the way, Matt kept me informed about the progress with detailed explanations so that a regular person would understand. At key decision points, we discussed the options and the pros/cons for each. He worked his team hard for the best prices on parts and labor time. The time and care that he took are all trademarks of a true professional. I spent several thousand dollars on the work done on my vehicle during this service appointment. Without reservation, I feel that every dollar spent was meticulously scrutinized to ensure maximum value. Big thanks to the service team that worked as my pit crew (Larry, Pat and Bob). I appreciate everything that you were able to do to get me back on the road. Your subject matter expertise and your customer first attitude only reinforces why I feel so positive about this dealership. You guys are the best! I tried turn in a leased vehicle through GM Financial at Thomas. I called GM Financial prior to doing so and they confirmed that I could bring the vehicle there or any GM dealer to turn it in. When I arrived I was told immediately that the guy who handles lease returns was not in today. I asked if there was someone else that could handle this for me and the very rude sales person got up and talked to a manager. The manager told him that they wont take the car. I then went to speak to this same manager and he told me I have to bring it back where I bought it because "they don't like to store the vehicle". This is completely ridiculous. I called GM Financial who confirmed AGAIN they are required to take the vehicle back. Additionally, both gentlemen I spoke to were rude and completely ignorant to what I was saying despite me doing my research and being correct. No one even asked if I was interested in getting a new vehicle from them! We need a new vehicle to replace this lease, and we will won't be getting our next vehicle from Thomas. This is now the 3rd time I've wanted to do business with Thomas and have had a bad experience. read more

I used to love this place and purchased 3 vehicles from there previously. I went in there last month to buy a new vehicle for my wife and was greeted by an old cranky guy who coughed every 2 seconds. Did not want to work with me at all on the price of the car. Pulled my credit from 7 different banks. I walked out as soon as he got back to the desk and he didn't seem to care. Went to Scott Honda in West Chester and was in a new vehicle within 2 hours....this hurts to say since I love Chevy's. I'm hoping to find a new Chevy dealership by the time I'm ready for an upgrade. I never write reviews, but fell compelled to now. I just had a 'typical' car dealership experience - typical for the 1980's and early 1990's. I contacted the dealership looking for a very specific model/color combination. I received an email around 11pm @night stating that they had such a vehicle. This was encouraging, the dealer appeared very involved. I looked up the vehicle on both the dealership site and http://www.chevrolet.com. The numbers the dealer internet representative provided in the email did not match the MSRP stated on the Chevrolet site. I called the dealer internet representative in the morning to ensure that the vehicle was in stock. I asked about the difference in price and was told that it was a cargo management tray and other items. He said yes the vehicle was in stock and asked what time I would be stopping by to test drive the vehicle. I arrived at the dealership and the vehicle was not in stock. I was passed over to another salesman to show me a 'similar' vehicle. The vehicle had over 1700.00 in dealer 'value-added' accessories. That's approximately an additional 6% on top of the sicker MSRP. The 'value-added' accessories listed such things as seat protector, etc. I have been purchasing cars for over 25 years now, and have not experienced this type of salesmanship since the 1980/90s. Worse experience ever with a dealership. They don't know how to treat their customers. I have bought two cars from this dealership. One was a 2016 chevy cruze and the second was a 2018 chevy camaro. Everytime I would take my car to get service work done something would happen to the car. when I had my cruze that I traded in for the camaro they had a recall on the third break light. Instead of taking the headliner down the right way they decided to be lazy and bend it to replace the third break light. When I went to pick up the car we went to get in and found a broken cellphone on the driver seat. Took the car home and found out the headliner had a bad crease in it. They decided to replace it under a recall stating it had water damage. Then I traded in the cruze for the camaro. When I picked up the car the driver side rocker panel had damage underneath. Let me remind you this was a new car. I made the deal with the fact that they would fix the rocker panel which they did. My point is I feel they just don't care about the cars on the lot. I just recently took it in to have the bowties upgraded to the black lighted bowtie on front n normal on back. When I went to pick up the car I decided to look around the car since I know how they have treat my car in the past. Found out they damaged my wheel and tire. The tire had a big chunk out of it and so did the wheel. The guy must of hit the curb and then decided to pull away and act like nothing happened. Went in to the showroom to complain since the service department was closed at the time. Two salesmen came out to take a picture of the wheel. The next morning we didn't receive a car so we called to complain about the wheel and tire. George the service manager told us to bring it by so he could take a look at it. He told me oh it no big deal its just cosmetic. It may be cosmetic to you but I cherish this car. It is garage kept. It is a sunday driver kind of car since I have two other vehicle. This car has never seen rain or snow. I had it over a year and only 2000 miles. He decided to order a new tire which took over a week to come in. When I took it to drop it off the deal was to try n fix the wheel and replace the tire. If I wasn't satisfied then we would look into getting a new wheel. Its not my fault your guy damaged my car. When I went to drop off the car George was on lunch and we handed the keys to a lady in the service area. When she heard my experience she apologized and stated we have a lot more patience then her. If it was her she would drive the car through the showroom. I told them I am in no hurry I want the car done right. When I went back to pick up the car it was once again after the service department closed cause that is when they called me. Probably cause they don't want to deal with me. Went to check out the wheel and somehow they managed to make it 10 times worse. They must not know how to mount a 20 inch rim onto a low pro tire like you are a dealer that deals with this how do you manage to make it worse. We called the next day and George stated he is done doing anything for us. He is not going to replace the wheel. Like what kind of customer service is this. How do you treat a customer that spends so much money with you like that. So I filled out two surveys one from the dealer and other from corporate. Even called the gm multiple times and not a single call back. Corporate sent me an email. I called them and he told me he would look into it and get back to me the following week. I didn't receive a call so I called back and he said he didn't receive a response yet from the dealer. Two days later he calls back when I am starting my shift at work all to let me know that he talked to the dealer and they are not going to do anything else for me. I was like that's fine. He is like would you like me to find you a different dealer for service on your car and to get your wheel fixed. I said no since I will have to pay for it even though this is not my fault. I said I will be trading in the car for a ford since you don't know how to treat your customers. On Friday I traded in my car for a 2019 mustang gt. I will be trying to get my extended plan money back since I didn't have the car that long and lost out on the extended plan from my chevy cruze when I was told I would get something back. Gm is the worse company to buy a car from and this dealer and every other gm dealer seem to have bad customer service. Check out their reviews. They are horrible. Everyone I talk to has a bad experience with gm. I will never purchase another gm vehicle and will make sure that no one else that I know does unless they want a bad experience as well. At least I know ford will treat me better. I will also be cancelling my gm credit card. Never again will I be treated like a nobody from a company that don't give a crap about you. read more

Recently had transmission trouble. The service department was terrific. I dealt mostly with Matt and he was responsive and helpful. The repairs themselves were well done. Can't think of any negatives. The dealership was undergoing an expansion so the office was not in the best of condition. But presumably they're expanding because they're good. I didn't actually buy my current car there, but I will definitely include them in my next new auto search. read more

The experience is as follows: June 22- 8am. Car would not crank. Car started after 2 hours. Proceeded to Thomas Chevrolet, car remained in antitheft mode. Kept car overnight. Missed work. Had to get a rental car. June 24- Car returned. AC repaired. Could not fix the crank problems. Stated "could not duplicate concerns". June 30- 6am. Car would not crank. Forced to take cab, in hopes to not miss work ($50). Ticket violation for expired car ticket ($36) Called the dealership. Spoke with Service Director. July 1- 7am. Car would not crank. Car cranked 3.5 hours later. Missed work. Took car to dealership. Attempted to duplicate issue, could not. Informed me to leave car for 4 days. Informed me to get yet another rental car as an expense to me ( At no point, was I offered shuttle service). I informed him that, I already got a rental car for the last service performed. Then directed me to another associate who, insisted that I be grateful and hurry and rent the car. I then proceeded to call the GM Relations after being disrespected and disregarded. At which I was misinformed, and am currently awaiting the call of the District Manager because there was falsified information. After much debate, the dealership ill reputedly finally agreed to perform service (replace ignition switch out of goodwill, 4 days later). Proceeded to inform me that I would have to wait 4 days and to get another rental. I gingerly waited for the GM Relations to return my call, which never happened and I had to call myself. The Service Director, then approached me and asked in a rather hostile manner, "What am I going to do", I answered, I am on the phone with GM Relations. He then stated that I needed to give him my keys so he can get my car out of the way in yet another rude tone. I proceeded to ask if he had an attitude after stating that I should appreciate what they are doing, I replied, that l am having a hard time renting a car for a fail on your part to diagnose my car, especially considering the large cost to me for the holiday weekend. He then said " You should be grateful that we are even doing this out of goodwill, because we don't have to". Which I thought was not only rude, but also degrading to my character as he raised his voice, stormed out, and assumed I did not know what goodwill was. I told him; I will move the car as soon as I done with the representative with GM relations, as I was on the service office phone. After which, I proceeded to move my car, and cancelled my appointment. In which, I expressed my DISGUSTING treatment to the receptionist, who alleviated my grievance with kind, supportive words. Of all my years, I have never been so disrespected not only as a customer, but even more as a women. I can say, that I was impressed that one of the fellow employees did empathize with my issue and was kind enough to help me contact someone with more respect for customers. At this moment, I am certain that I cannot recommend this dealership as I was completely and utterly under minded not only as a consumer, but a person. Its really unfortunate that I had to endure such arduous treatment, and I thought that GM had more reverence for its clients. My car had a gas leak and GM's website indicated it would be covered by the manufacturer for repair. After talking with two other dealers who could not understand my problem or help me for a week, Thomas Chevrolet quickly got my car fixed in a day. It was covered under warranty and I did not have to fight with them about it. For now on I will be calling Thomas Chevrolet first. read more

My sons 2009 Chevy Colorado wouldn't crank. A few hrs. later, it started, I brought it to service at Thomas. They replaced the battery, even though I told them the car had all lights and radio. It just clicked, A week later it happened again, I again brought the car back. They kept the truck 5 days. Although I told them it was a ramdom problem, they insisted that they couldn't replicate the problem. Even though intermittent Starting problems with the Colorado are common, as evidenced by my 5 mins. on the internet, they could not diagnose the problem. They said, it is probably the Starter solinoid combination, but can't replace it until we are certain, it will take longer to test the starter to find the problem than we can get back from the warranty company. So they did absolutely nothing, their solution, when it happens again, have it towed here then we'll fix it. Great customer service, let you child get stuck in the freezng cold because we are incompetent and can't diagnose a problem. Never have had this experience with Ford or Chrysler. Calling GM Customer care is a joke, they give you lip service and have no power to do anything. read more

On top of the poor quality of this car, there service is even worse. They have misdiagnosed and under quoted repairs by hundreds of dollars. We purchased a certified preowned car and all that needed to be done was switching out tires and a wash and detail. We were told there was 99% chance that their mechanic could do it same night. After we signed papers we were told they could not do it that the mechanic had already left (so 99% chance was obvious just to get us to sign). We were then told to come back the next business day at 12 to get our car! They didn't even start working on the tire exchange until a half hour after we walked in! We sat there for over THREE HOURS waiting on them to trade out tires and detail our car! Waiting that long when you have an appointment to pick up your finished car is ridiculous! We were told our car would in fact be ready when it was not! Great deal on a car but be prepared to waste a full day! Nice folks but this is the slowest place I've ever been! If I could give a zero I would. Terrible place would not recommend anyone from buying a car from themin the sales department or use their service department. I bought a 2017 Chevy Malibu LT and 3 weeks in I had issues with the tire sensor the auto stop and a rattling noise with the car being in reverse. Waited in their lobby on a Friday for 4 hours for them to tell me I had to bring it back a that following wednesday so they could keep it. I brought it back and left it with them to get fixed they kept the car for more then a week and everyday told me oh we are just going to test drive it and see how it is and it should be good to go three days later it was finally done. They had to replace a heater cord and flip the tire sensors because they were installed wrong and had to take apart my dashboard. I go to pick the car up and they left the car a mess ripped my ezpass off to where I couldn't get it back on. Finger prints all over the dashboard and skuffs all over the windshield. On top of that they gave me my car back on E. I was suppose to return their loaner with at least a half a tank of gas which I did and they couldn't return my car with a couple dollars worth of gas? I was furious and I went to confront the manger Pat to tell him I was very disappointed and all his answer was GM doesn't refund them for gas? Really? I do not recommend this place to anyone nor will I ever buy another car from them ever again. read more

Had an 11am appointment for a routine oil change. Was told it would be about 2 hours to be completed. Which I was ok with. I called them 3.5 hours later to see if it was finished and was told it hadn't even been started yet. 2:30pm at this point. Was told it would be another hour and that 'I wasn't forgotten'. Clearly, I was. 3 hours later, 5:30pm, I go in to the service center to take my car back. As I'm walking in, the guy begins to call me to tell me it's finished. On top of that, I was told the night before when I made the appointment that the oil change was included with my lease. As they handed me my keys, they also handed me a bill for $50 for the service. I received no apology nor was anyone even apathetic to the fact I was lied to and taken advantage of with the minimum flexibility in time I had. My lease is up in almost 4 months. I had every intention of leasing a new vehicle and scheduling test drives with Thomas Chevrolet. That all changed with the Service departments lack of professionalism and lack of value to the customer. In the end, I'd like to thank you from saving me from another 3 years of dissatisfaction. read more
