While exploring the outlet, I walked into few stores but didn't find anything worth buying. The sales tax rate was also very high 12%. The food court was little sad. There were few different shops but most were abysmal. The dining hall was also underwhelming with old chair and tables. Overall I wasn't very impressed with the experience, and was one of the least exciting outlet mall I had visited.

It almost felt like Christmas except with white lights and the humid heat of summer. Lights shine from the urban apartments in the buildings where one can live and walk to just about anything. The Plaza is a wonderful focal point. The vision of a planned Uptown, miles from the lights and glitter of the oceanfront, was a wonderful one. Upscale shopping, restaurants, housing and theaters abound. Grocery shopping is now available in the form of Trader Joe's, which occupies a space in the same area of Regal Cinemas. Town Center is a vision that became reality and continues to grow throughout the years.

There are more shops but those are the ones I frequent the most. Since Nordstrom sadly departed MacArthur a few years ago this is the only Nordstrom you'll find on this side of the water. It's not the same as the three-story beauty in Norfolk but it'll do - even if it's only their discount arm. I love the shoe section there. Best deals in town. This is an updated shopping center with plenty of easy parking and some dining (Smokey Bones anyone - nah, I'll pass) as well.

The busy shopping center offers a number of popular eateries such as Noodle Man, Clean Eatz, The Egg Bistro, Saladworks & Kelly's Tavern. Plaza Aztecs sits on an out parcel as do fast food favorites such as Dairy Queen, Chick fil A & Gourmet Gang. A yummy pastry location that I love for birthdays is Nothing Bundt Cakes. Over the years the anchor grocer has changed as has the grocery industry. What began as A&P when I first moved to Virginia Beach was followed by now defunct Farm Fresh. The current occupant of the space is the popular Harris Teeters. A now empty space was once occupied by a large Rite Aid drugstore that included a medical equipment section not available at the chain's other locations. I'm excited about what could move into the large space. The mix of businesses in the shopping center is quite convenient. It proves such value to me in both time & gas expended. I'm able to make multiple shopping stops in the same close location. One can find everything from a UPS store & ABC Store to health foods, hair salons, clothing discounter, jeweler, insurance agency & much, much more. On the north side of the center sits a Harris Teeters Fuel Center. On an out parcel is a Bank of America Branch Office, Over the years I've seen many businesses come & go. The explosion of popular spots moving to Haygood Shopping Center came after the facelift it received at the time of the Harris Teeters opening. The center has also served as a draw for businesses to open in the surrounding area, creating a veritable island of firms serving the northern area of Virginia Beach, Thank you Haygood Shopping Center for bringing popular & convenient businesses to our area.

But really any age can enjoy their clothing. They are pricey, make no mistake. A single legging for ladies runs in the $100 neighborhood. For men the same with pants. They do have a sales rack to check. It's often slim pickings. Service 100% always 5 star. The staff is trained well and will bend over backwards to be helpful to customers. Also always super friendly and attentive. I have to admit they are trained to sell too! So you may be browsing and make a purchase. The store is always 100% 5 star clean and organized. The staff has very tight control over the the tidiness of the floor, changing area and checkout. Products and quality always 100% 5 star. LuLulemon makes it a company policy to bring quality to what they make. They also stand begins with a unheard of return policy of no receipt required and limited warranty period. Who else does this? The large supermarket previously occupied the portion of the L shaped shopping center facing Diamond Springs Road. Doing business from the corner spaces are a dollar store & Sentara Family Medicine & & Sentara Therapy Center. Gone is Surf Rider & other longtime occupants of the side of the shopping center facing Wesleyan Drive. Lil Road Cat Rescue occupies a number of spaces. Well reviewed Suphan Thai is located on the same side as are a number of other eateries: Wing Stop, Ibis Cuisine & Big Apple Pizzeria to name a few. There are several bars, a tailor, nail salon, small gym, & day care center. Out parcels contain a gas station. The shopping center is still maintained. But it gives the daytime aura of being devoid of customers, especially on the empty supermarket side. When I went last there were only a few cars in the very ample parking lots. Possibly it's busier at night with restaurant & bar traffic. It would be great, considering the plethora of housing surrounding it, if the former grocery store space had a good occupant that would increase foot traffic as it once did.
