I missed the call from my awesomely concerned family doctor who had already reviewed my ER records despite the fact that it was a holiday and she was supposed to be relaxing. She wanted to have me come in for a follow-up exam. Since I didn't recognize the number and my voicemail box was jammed full, I didn't know I was supposed to go in. But on Thanksgiving, in the evening, when I relapsed into that toxic pain and shaking, my family called Dr. Rentel. She was there, and she had advice. She got me through the night and saw me first thing Monday. This is the most compassionate doctor. I love her to pieces. She has her patients' best interest in mind. She really cares about your health. And she's funny and easy to talk to. I have high praise for Dr. Rentel. If you're looking for a new family doctor, definitely try to get in with her. It will be tough. Since she's so amazing, she's always booked full. But if you happen to call the office when they're taking new patients, you musn't undervalue the opportunity. Jump on it! Dr. Rentel is the best.

By chance, I was assigned to her when I was a student at OSU in the student health department. She asked me if I had allergies, to which I replied NO. She took a good look at me and said, "Yes you do." She gave me oral steroids and within 24 hours my breathing issues were totally resolved. Turns out, I have a severe grass pollen allergy that developed as an adult and procudes asthma. I'm now taking allergy shots to help build a tolerance to my allergies and symptoms. The nurses or any of the staff didn't do any thing, no extras no MRI no ultra sound, not until my cousin strated to make nose about it. They finally did an ultrasound on her ankle after 2 weeks and nothing showed, so my cousin kept pushing and finally got an MRI done after 3 weeks of this it was done this past Friday. And just a few a minute ago they called and said that the MRI show her ankle is broke, 4 weeks of this, the kind of brake that she has, she have to stay off her foot for awhile to try to get it healed. Not only that we also eat lunch with her and another family member that is there, at lunch they have water on her tray my ant doesn't drink water at all she don't drink anything. After she eats and they get the tray they mark that she drinks water. We have evidence that she don't they are fossilizing a document, they have been caught and been confronted about it, and this still goes on. I just wonder how the other residents there is being treated, they need new owners and new administration to run that place. So please check on your love ones if you have love ones in that facility.

Yes, the doctors are young and they will ask you if an intern can interview and participate in your check up (you can decline) but I find their youth to be refreshing and their enthusiasm to take care of you a HUGE plus. And they have great senior doctors to consult. They have seen me through a mysterious knee swelling and total hip replacement, both sides. My current doctor is Dr. Christine Prabhu, a GREAT doctor. And many of my friends now see past doctors I have had. As my best friend said "the doctor you recommended to me is the ONLY doctor to ever call me to follow up and see how I was doing."

I've been with Ohio health for several years and had a MyChart for several years and have never…read morebeen able to communicate with my doctor on it.. just recently after working a 12-hour days in a row they were calling me and I had to communicate with them and I even put in the MyChart to please make it so that I can communicate with my doctor because every time I'd go to send a message it said I wasn't able to send a message to anybody.. so I begged and begged and begged in one of the technical areas to please fix the problem so I can communicate with my doctor.. nobody replied nobody cared.. my doctor kept calling me throughout the whole day and because I was on the phone for 12 hours I couldn't communicate with her so I tried again the very next day to communicate with her on my chart I wasn't able to.. I then try to get to communicate the following day and begged and begged and begged at the technical assistant would fix this.. it still wasn't fixed.. this is what they say on their MyChart..."Communicate with your doctor, get answers to your medical questions from the comfort of your own home, access your test results.". This is a complete lie.. they put me in the worst position here I couldn't even communicate with my doctor and I begged and I begged and I begged please make it so that I can send a message to my doctor on my chart.. they completely ignored me.. nobody replied nobody even cared.. find me what I did was said take my whole MyChart down I will never use it again completely remove the whole thing I will never use your service again and now I will have to call in for everything and I will never be able to use a service that they supposedly provided for me when I needed to communicate with my doctor the most important things I couldn't even get communication to her when she kept calling and calling and calling and I couldn't get to the phone because I'm working... How dare you create a system that's supposed to streamline communication and not allow a very important communication to be given to my doctor when she's calling me.. after I begged and I begged and I begged for you to fix it.. clearly the IT department should be replaced. Dr. Weiss is my PCP and provides excellent care and counsel. Also, I have always had a nice office experience and good staff interactions. The only negatives I could think of would be the walls between rooms are kind of thin. You cannot really hear conversations or make out what is being said, but you can still hear people next door. The only other thing is that office scale. The scale and I have different opinions on how much I weigh, but it is probably right. The office and facilities are always clean, and there is plenty of parking in the shared lot.

It was very hurtful. When I reached out via message to ask what just happened and that I am pulled over now and ready, she responded by terminating me as a patient via letter. Her attitude throughout was condescending, rude, and disrespectful. This is not how healthcare professionals should treat patients, and I would not recommend her to anyone seeking any shred of empathy or care from a provider.
