I was suffering from sciatica and initially went to Stanford, where I was told I had to go through a long process, physical exam, X-ray, then MRI. The insurance approval felt complicated and frustrating.  Later, I met Dr. Thomas Ferrigno at Bay Area Disc Center in Campbell. He helped expedite the MRI process, which was covered by my insurance, and it confirmed I had a herniated disc. He saved me both time and money.  After one month of Spinal Decompression Therapy, I experienced significant improvement. By the end of treatment, my left leg returned to normal. The sessions were very comfortable, you may even fall asleep.  I later did Neck Decompression Therapy for morning hand tightness, and it improved noticeably. My posture also improved, and my head now rests naturally on the headrest while driving. I visited this office on April 11th and had a consultation with Dr. Ferrigno. I was very impressed with his knowledge/expertise in Chiropractor care. Upon leaving the office I signed a release of info form to retrieve X-rays from a previous Chiropractor. Amber (front desk) said that it would take approx a week. Today April 18 (a week later) not hearing from her- I called her and she said she left a message a week ago and never heard from them. ?? She left a msg but did she email them the release form to send the Xrays ?? NO! When I expressed my concerns, she commented "you can call yourself". (Upon signing the release form, I informed her of the urgency of retrieving these X-rays. She assured me Monday April 14th she would follow up with another call). She also stated if delayed, I could be out-sourced for another set of X-rays. She was very aware of my pain level and urgency to proceed with care with Dr. Ferrigno and neglected to contact me to say she never received the X-rays or advise to be out-sourced for additional X-rays so I could receive treatment in a timely manner. Amber's lack of professionalism, competency and rudeness has forced me to research another Chiropractor specializing in my needs. read more

I highly recommend this place. Im 31, dealing with back pain since 2017 and reached severe lower back pain. I was already looking into different back surgery options, After trying physical, chiro and acupuncture therapy, the pain only got worse , back in September i reached i point where i couldn't stand it so i came across bay area disc center spine decompression treatment. It worked for me so far. I started back in October already got done with the main treatment (reduced my pain from a 7 to 0) and continued with maintenance appointments. I'm really glad i went with this option. My own physicians gave me no hope nor help but only addictive medicine and back shots. I found this place on a facebook ad and I was interested in the spinal decompression for my neck. Making an appointment was easy online and I don't think you can possibly miss your appointment because they send you constant text reminders. I also called in advance to check if they take my insurance, they said that they did, but didn't happen to mention that they are actually out of network. Next time I know to be more specific in my questions. I had my first appointment where we chat and they review applicable records and then you have to come back to get his recommendation and treatment. He presented me with a treatment that would take several months and about 3k. He talked a lot about how he was one of the only few specialists in his field, it felt very sales pitchy to me. I then went back to have a spinal decompression treatment. The assistant set me up and then left. The problem was that she didn't set it up properly so it wasn't doing anything for 20 minutes and there was no one in the room to assist me to make an adjustment. She finally returned and I told her I didn't think it was working, and she adjusted it smaller and started it over, I could then actually feel the pull. Also, I felt a little uncomfortable that they just use a tissue on the head strap that goes on your forehead, I didn't feel like it was very sanitary as it is super thin. Later that day I noticed that it actually increased my pain, so I decided not to pursue any further treatment. read more

Dr. Walton accepted me at the end of the day, on a walk-in, approximately three weeks ago. My lower back was in severe pain, and I felt a significant improvement (I would say about 90% increase in mobility) after my second treatment, which was two days later. I would say that I'm actually feeling better now than I was before the injury that prompted my visit, also due in part to some low-impact exercises I was coached on how to do at home. Anybody that has suffered a significant back injury can appreciate any form of relief, and I really feel that I got my money's worth from Bay Area Disc Centers; considering that I've gained my life back from what was a debilitating injury for me. These people really know what they are doing! They are knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. They want to help people feel better and live better--I know because they've helped me do just that! I've had chronic back pain for years. I have serious upper back and shoulder pain from computer/mouse use as part of my job. I wasn't sure if chiropractic care would be able to help since pain medications didn't seem to work for me. I had trouble sleeping, sitting, moving, exercising--I had migraines pretty frequently too. At first I worked with Dr. Brad Pluckhan, and now I work with Dr. Jeff Potts. They both have such a kind and calm manner that really put me at ease. Their staff is always polite and helpful too. After getting x-rays (in this office) and being fully examined as part of a promotion they offer, they told me I have a slight curvature in my spine and some disk degeneration. As treatment, both doctors have adjusted my back and neck. They've instructed me on the proper way to lift objects, taught me the benefits of good posture, and encouraged me to integrate healthy choices into my diet. They helped me strengthen my back and shoulder by teaching me ergonomic positioning and therapeutic exercises to supplement my treatment. I've been a patient of Crossroads Health Center for almost 4 years and I am extremely satisfied. My insurance covers all but the copayment, so the cost has been very reasonable for me. I can now sleep through the night without waking up in agonizing pain; I don't have to take pain medications anymore either because the pain is gone! I can even stop by for an unplanned adjustment if I'm experiencing unexpected tightness or any pain. They are VERY accommodating - great job! read more

When I arrived @ Bay Area Disc Center I was experiencing excruciating lower back pain. I have been an avid runner since childhood & have worked in the restaurant industry since I was a teen! I just wanted to add a quick update to this practice. I recently started seeing Dr. Walton since Dr. Adams left after many years in practice, like his father. Dr. Walton is an exceptional chiropractor who exhibits excellent patient/doctor care. I have been very happy with him since Dec '16 and would suggest anyone who is suffering with pain to go visit him, you will be in the best of care I can't say enough about how great it is to have 3 caring doctors in one office who treat their patients with respect and knowledge. I have been going ot Dr. Adams for many years and his father prior to that. I was pleased to see him move his practice to this office with Dr. Ferrigno and Dr. Cain. I was diagnosed in early Feb with a herniated disc, (my first time after many years of back problems) and started my treatment on the DRX machine. This is the best and safest alternative to surgery for my condition. I have been going in 3 days a week for treatments, have been assistated by all three doctors and I can't tell you how pleased I am to be free of pain and have full movement restored. When I first started having this issue I could barely stand up without severe pain and now I am back to 90% normal and enjoying life again. Thank you Dr.'s Adams, Cain and Ferrigno for all that you have done for me. Review for Dr Stephen Cain: I have visited Dr Cain for adjustments a handful of times and he is great. He is very methodical when doing the evaluation. He by far devotes the most time and care to ensure a proper diagnosis and then a quality adjustment out of any chiropractor I have ever been to (~10). He listens attentively to my concerns and makes great recommendations for taking preventative measures in the future. Not having insurance that covers adjustments, sometimes it doesn't feel like there is great value when you get ushered in and out in and spend 2 minutes with the Dr. I really appreciate Dr Cain spending the time to fully diagnose before each adjustment. nutrition program, liked it, but it very expensive, took tons of vitamins and supplements. Dr. Ferrigno very nice most of time but maybe caught him on an off day and he wasn't very friendly or helpufl for one of my 3 meetings that I paid a lot of money for. But other 2 times he was very helpful, guided my nutrition. Good experience, still use some of the vitamins, minerals, supplements and health tips. People told me regularly that I looked healthier and my skin had a healthy glow to it. read more
