A nice enough and attentive enough physician and I got the care I needed. I just didn't realize that in addition to a few specific and separate charges that I would be billed at a rate of close $600 per hour. I don't know if anyone else is more straightforward about this? If anyone gives any options? Seems like we shouldn't be placed in a situation where we are choosing between one office visit to get treated in sickness or putting food on the table the rest of the month or paying our mortgage in full or (ironically, paying our health insurance premium). I have learned from this that no matter how sick or how friendly the physician is, I need to get the financial disclosure in advance. Hopefully this doesn't lead to deferring treatment and ending up in the ER. read more

Had a wonderful experience for two things: 1). Altitude sickness and 2). A big cut on my nose. They were caring and attentive. Made sure I was okay in both cases, and provided really good medical treatment. read more

We were staying at the Elevation March 9-13, of course its 8pm and I have kiddo with flue like symptoms. Seems to be getting worse as time goes by, the front desk at Elevation referred Dr. Moore. I didn't even know he wasn't a GP until I looked him up today. Being somewhat panicked and phone call to Dr. Moore, moms better with a game plan. He answered his phone, the call was not referred over to answering service, that was the first great thing. Second great thing, after he provided a game plan for my son and calmed me down, he said, call me back and let me know how he's doing. Third great thing, the next AM before my eyes were open, I had a text from Dr Moore, asking how my child was progressing. Here in Dallas, we don't have Dr's who answer their phones. I felt like I was a family member based on the special treatment I received from Dr. Moore and I never met him until my ski accident. After I fell and my thumb was not getting better, I decided to have an x-ray Sunday night of the NFL Division Playoff games. I looked on the internet & called likely doctors' offices. No surprise when no one was in the various office on Sunday night and I did not leave a message for anyone. What a pleasant surprise when Dr. Moore called me back and asked how I was. I told he what happened and he had me send pictures of my thumb to him that night & agreed to see me at 9 am the next morning. Once at the office, I was treated so nicely by everyone, especially Dr. Moore. The knowledge, skill and professionalism was A+ as well. My son experienced high altitude pulmonary edema after three days of skiing. He developed a bad cough overnight and was very lethargic. After noon when he did not rally, I called Dr. Moore's clinic. The receptionist was great, and they saw him immediately. His pulse saturation was 60, and he was spiraling into a potentially fatal event. Dr. Moore and Dr. Felton provided the greatest care and followed up with phone calls and following visits. I am in the health care profession and was very impressed with the concern and care given to my son. What an impressive team! read more

If you get hurt, or just need a good doctor, Moore is the guy. He is right at the bottom of the lift at Crested Butte and he does GP and sports medicine. He took me on a minutes notice with banged up toes, and had me back on the hill in 15 minutes. Good guy. read more

Dr. Moore has helped me several times with sports related injuries. Most recently, he assisted me with a swollen and sore knee from skiing that had me worried. He was able to quickly access the injury and took time to help me make the best decision for treatment. I won't go into the details, but thanks to Dr. Moore's great care, I am out on the slopes pain free with out any surgery. He also took time to follow up with me a couple of days after treatment to see how I was doing. I would definitely recommend Dr.Moore based on this experience and from other times he has taken care of my injuries. read more

As a business owner I know how important reviews are. If an unfair review is posted the best a business owner can do is try to respond intelligently, which Dr.Moore has never been able to do. I'm not sure how Dr. Moore ranks five stars given the prior, poor review. Bottom line is - before anyone reviews him, look at an itemized bill, be sure you are not being over charged for anything,especially for things that were not even done. As stated in a previous/suppressed review, his assistant evaluated my son a few years back, diagnosed a fracture and we left. Dr. Moore never saw nor touched my son so how could he charge my insurance company $600.00 for a fracture repair/surgery. I spoke with him on the phone and he offered no justification. I called my insurance company to alert them and they said "if its not a pervasive problem they won't litigate it". In other words if we as consumers don't start paying attention to our medical bills, thieves like Dr.Moore, and the health insurance companies he is in bed with him, will continue to take advantage of our apathy and ignorance. When I took my son for a second opinion at Dr.Beim's facility (Chief Medical Officer for Team USA) they found was a fracture, did a thorough exam, a sling, no surgery and no fake "fracture/surgery" fee on my invoice; unlike Dr. Moore's office that charged for a fracture repair. Even after three calls to him and his office and speaking with him personally explaining that Dr. Beim's office (that did as much if not more than his office did) did not charge a fake surgery fee or any surgery fee; he claimed that they always charge a "fracture fee" whether or not they do surgery.
