However, during my appointment, two different people took my X-rays. It seemed like the first person might have been in training, because several images had to be retaken before a more experienced staff member stepped in. I've never had so many X-rays redone in one visit, which was frustrating and concerning. Then, as I was leaving the office and walking through the building's main entrance, I saw a mouse stuck in a glue trap right by the front door. That was disturbing and left a bad impression. To be clear, the mouse and trap were not inside the dental office itself, but at the main entrance to the building where the practice is located. So once again, thank you for a stress- and pain-free dental experience! ___________ Two days ago I had an appointment at a different office in the Mid-Peninsula Medical Center, and I noticed a sign for this new dental office, showing they were now open. I wandered into the cheerily lit waiting room and made an appointment for two days later. It was my lucky day. Dr. William Broas (pronounced "brahss") recently opened the practice and is seeking new patients. He is a quite friendly and brisk, has been around the DDS community for many a year. Jennifer, the dental hygienist, was quick and knowledgable in her skill and trade, and made me feel at ease during the whole cleaning process. This is very important to me as I have TMJ, and the cleaning can be painful--but it wasn't at all! Caitlyn, the receptionist, was also delightful and efficient. When I set up my follow up appointment for my fillings and fitting for a mouth guard, she had all of the costs printed out, waiting for me so that I'd know what to expect. If you need a dentist, definitely give these folks a call!

LOL, felt like a full body shower after being done, and she talks NON stop... and stops working while she talks... takes very long. the guy hygienist, though nice and less chatty, hurt me badly this last visit with his prophy, i mean my teeth are rather clean and needs very little to be done but he was heavy handed and i had cuts around my gums for a few days afterwards. HURTS.... not great, i think i'll look for another office for a hygiene checkup next time, but the dentist is still sweet, and good with kids

I have a HUGE fear of the dentists and I can't say that I made it easy for Dr. Epstein and the hygienists but they were all beyond amazing. They talked me through each step of the process, made sure I was comfortable, and even held my hand when I needed extra reassurance. The process was quick and simple but their compassion is what I am so thankful for. I am not sure where the disconnect is but 1- they do not communicate well if you are a former customers. 2- they charge you for service upfront and you pay out of pocket for the service before they file with the insurance. That is my issue that state they have sent it over. I have checked my insruance account and the info is not there. I emailed last week asking for my documents electronically by the end of day and got nothing. I then called and left a message the following day. Asking they send it over. They haven't. I spent 4500 on 1 tooth to be repaired. Now I am in lost between the paper trail of where I get my reimbursement. I have tried not to place blame on them but this is ridiculous. I will not recommend their service as a former patient. Current patient teated extremely well, as a former who wanted to use them again. I will not and I will not recommend them. If you are looking for a bio-dental be prepared to pay up front and possible have insurance issues if you deal with them and be out of money. This has been on going since 28 Aug and it's now Dec 7.

I received a letter in the mail that was bullying me into getting cosmetic dental work that I did not want to have done. The threat and the letter was that I would be kicked out out of the practice if I didn't have it done. Unbelievable! And so very money hungry. There are instances with myself, and my child in which the dentist said that drilling needed to be done on the teeth. However, a second opinion, for my child's teeth, indicated that there was no cavity and that flu fluoride and mineralization topical were all that was needed. , All I needed to do is use Sensodyne toothpaste, and my discomfort went away. What does that tell you? The staff has been very unprofessional over the years, making nig comments, even about my little boy that I found intolerable and unprofessional. The dentist made a comment about my expensive vehicle right before I received the threatening letter. The arrogance, unprofessional and unethical behavior is intolerable. I am still considering whether or not I'm filing a formal complaint. I would never recommend this practice to anyone and apparently others in the dental care field don't either.
