I chose Hamilton Foot Care and I am glad I did. Dr. Lien T. Van DPM, MS, examined my feet and legs, and explained very clearly the treatment and removal procedure for the ingrown toenail. Dr Van removed the Ingrown toenail, I did not experience ANY PAIN as she injected my toe (I was bracing myself for intense pain when the toe was injected with lidocaine) or when she removed the ingrown toenail. Dr Van's expertise and knowledge was evident as she completed the procedure. My pain was relieved from the day I left the office, my toe is healed and looks perfect. My lesson and advice to anyone with pain or any kind of foot issue; go to a podiatrist! Don't wait. I realize I did not have to suffer all those months because I thought my problem was insignificant. I saw wonderful Dr. Asilli for decades and most recently he refurbished my orthotics -- for which I was required to pay up front. Whenever I call, the receptionist acknowledges the mixup, politely promises to straighten it out with the billing office and call me back but I never hear from her. The billing office never answers when I try to follow up. My husband, also treated about two years ago by a different doctor, is in a similar endless loop. He had what turned out to be athlete's foot. Regretably, I talked him into seeing Dr. Mizuo, assuring him if he worked with Dr. Asilli he must be good. (It is an hour and half drive for me.) I'm in a lot of pain but decided it was worth the wait. Suddenly then sent a "reminder" that my appointment is at 11:15. I called to let them know that a mistake was made and spoke to two of the rudest, most unprofessional women (one was named Hilary) I have encountered in medical setting. No apology. No sorry we made a mistake. And "That's when he takes his lunch. He can't see you then. Do you want to reschedule or not?" Some people have no business interacting with patients. I could not have been more pleased. I was given several different options for treatment. The explanations were clear and understandable. With the procedure I had done, I was given plenty of pain medication. I was also given good instructions for follow-up care which was successful. I found Dr. Soffer to be compassionate, careful in his work, and having communication skills that are far superior to most doctors and dentists I've seen.
