Bayberry Spa is everything that I was hoping for and more. The ambiance, the dedication to…read morepampering and relaxation, and an esthetician that knows her craft very well. Located in a historical home on Main Street, the experience was a relaxing, sensory heaven with an added bonus of anti aging. I booked a 60 minute facial and peel with Lani. I was already really looking forward to it when I arrived, but as someone with a love for historic homes, stepping up to the wrap around porch made me swoon. The home is so beautiful and nostalgic, the wood floors creaking and popping underfoot, and this heavenly mixed scent of skincare/spa/baked goods...I couldn't always put my finger on the scent, but even as someone with sensory sensitivities, it was a sensory delight. Lani put me right at ease. She clearly knows her craft and I felt that I could trust her to perform a chemical peel on my face. The whole experience was so soothing and luxious, I nearly fell asleep. Afterwards, she made suggestions for follow up services to meet my skincare goals and some products to use in the healing process. There was absolutely no pressure, just suggestions, as I had also indicated on my paperwork that I was open to suggestions and recommendations. I appreciate that this is asked ahead of time. 2 days out from my facial and peel, my skin still looks amazing and the peeling is very manageable. I'm looking forward to returning next week for a massage and continuing to see Lani for my skincare needs.

It's located in a gorgeous old house in downtown Greenwood and the vibes are immaculate. Once you get to your room it's relaxation from there baby! Warm comfy beds to catch a cat nap in while getting an A+ massage. Kate is amazing! Cannot recommend highly enough! It is the only place we go and the only place we will go.

Love the vibe here, and I always leave feeling rejuvenated! ( THEY will ASK IF YOU WANT a DRINK say…read moreYES and ask for the PINEAPPLE drink, your welcome ) I've been going to Jess for a little over 2 years now, needless to say she's the best!! I've done about every hair cut a girl can do. I've cut all my hair off, gotten bangs and everything in between, and she's always done an amazing job! I always get blond highlights as well. I know every salon push's product, but what ever Jess suggests, just do it. Not only is it worth every penny and lasts a long time ( with no matter how long or short my hair is ) your hair will love you for it! You won't regret coming here. Ask for Jess

I found this place just from driving by and decided I would try it for color after not having any…read morecolor in my hair for 2+ years. I wanted to go Burgundy red for winter (think red wine color) and am naturally a dark brunette. I emailed photos of what I wanted prior to coming for the appointment and was nervous because we were going away on a trip shortly after. The stylist who did my hair was really kind, I just don't think she knew what she was doing. My hair came out orange instead of dark red. I left because I was kinda in shock and she was really excited about it and didn't know how to tell her. When I got home my husband asked me what I did to my hair so that's when I realized I had to do something and change it. I emailed immediately and even called the next day after not hearing back via email and finally I just walked in two days later (and it seemed like they were avoiding me because they couldn't get ahold of the owners to figure out what to do). Eventually they scheduled me to come back the following day and tried to fix it but it was still super brassy. I spent over $240 (they didn't charge the second time) but still was really disappointed. Unfortunately I will not return here. Fortunately I found another awesome salon across town which is way cheaper and they seem to know how to use color. My hair has since been fixed (a couple hundred bucks later and a new stylist later).

Based on the ample positive reviews on Google and Yelp, I decided to walk-in on a rainy Saturday. I…read moreexpressed it was my first visit and asked if they took walk-ins. I was told there would be a 15-min wait, which was fine by me, and he told me to have a seat. He didn't ask which service I would like, but he approached me after checking a few other people in to clarify. The waiting area is comfortable and there's a couple of fish tanks if you don't feel like staring at your phone. While I waited, I used their restroom which was clean. Always a good sign. They also have a water dispenser in the waiting area if you'd like to hydrate before or after your massage (they'll ask and fetch you water post-massage.) I opted for their standard massage (foot and body) for $40 (+tip.) I was shown into a room with two massage tables after my 15 minute wait and a gentleman came in with a lukewarm tub of water to soak my feet. I took off my shoes and socks and placed them aside, and put my pocketbook in a plastic basket that they provide so I didn't need to leave my things on the floor. This is standard at a lot of places. ATTIRE: I've been to these sorts of places while wearing jeans and a T-shirt, or shorts and a sports bra, it really doesn't matter. They will work around your clothes. For the most part, there is a towel between their hands and your clothing with some exceptions. They are massaging your back and butt with the towel. If your legs are bare, they will use their hands. They also will reach down the back of your shirt with some lotion to massage your neck. NOT at this place, but other places, I have had them lift the back of my shirt, unhook my bra, and massage my back. Or, push the top of my pants down a bit to get to my lower back, if they are athletic wear. And no, they don't ask permission, but it has all felt fairly routine and professional to me. There was one or two spots. I was extra sensitive and grunted, he was very polite and paused and asked "softer?" and when I said yes, he said, "ok, sorry" with a smile. In short, don't be afraid to ask them to be less rough if you're not enjoying it. They just want you to enjoy it and come back! I'll also mention that every masseuse is different. I've returned to places only to have a different experience with a different individual. In short, I will be back! They were very polite, the place was clean, I liked the vibe, their estimated wait time was accurate, the massage was very good, and I like the price. As for tipping, 20% ($8) can feel a little low when someone is spending an hour rubbing your body. I tipped $15 atop the $40 flat rate, but that is up to you.

First over the years the place was creepily ableist - like fliers for this propaganda film on how vaccines give kids autism. One, that's a vile perspective and two, absolutely false, and three, ableist b/c people hate autistic folks so bad they'd rather have dead kids than autistic kids. But I'll admit despite that, I kept going. I loved their two estheticians so much. Then those women left. So okay, I don't know where else to go and kept going here. They had a revolving door of estheticians and all were mediocre or terrible. One let me go with wax still left on my face. Another one actually BURNED me on my FACE b/c this loser wasn't paying attention to the soft wax heater. And no apologies, she was just going to continue except I stopped her and got up. Complained to the front desk and they said they'd tell the manager. NO ONE called me to apologize. That was the last straw. Do NOT go here for any esthetician needs. I've never gotten my hair or nails done here. Have gotten massages and they were pretty decent but many years ago.

WOULD NOT BE COMING HERE AGAIN…read more My first time here and customer service was bad. Appointment was at 1:30, got there at 1:15. Did not get seated until 2 pm. After that just the service felt rushed and she did not do a great job. Wanted a deep conditioning treatment she barely applied any onto my hair. No apologies regarding the wait when I had an appointment Haircut i got is not exactly what I wanted. I said layers and she just trimmed them. I waited longer than my actual time on the chair.
