Service is slow and they always try to sell you more services. They also ask you when you want the car and it doesn't matter what you say - you aren't going to get it then. I have my car in for a 30,000 mile service and an inspection. First call I get is they are offering a detail for 199 with car mats. I figure, why not, with an extra set of mats, its not a bad deal. I figured the car was ready when call #2 came in, but no. The were "offering" me other services. I don't even remember what they were; something flushed and something aired for about 140 and 120 respectively. "Other customers like to have it done" and we recommend it". So I ask why isn't it included if its recommended and what is included for $519? Call #3 comes at approximately 3:00.. Car done? She asks "if we run into tomorrow morning is that ok?" I say sure, we just need to coordinate the exchange ( I only go there because they valet). Call # 4 comes in the next day at 3:30. This is morning? But the kicker comes when I find out the mats did not come with the detailing. Perhaps I did misunderstand her initially, but I wouldn't have gotten the detail at all if I had known. The offered to split the mats with me, but as I really didn't need them to begin with, I figured I'd save the $40. Bottom line is, I brought my car in for an expensive service and rather than just doing what I asked of them, they kept the car a day longer and tried to upsell me for about $550. Horrible, horrible, horrible, saw a Honda Pilot on their site and called to verify that it was still available. Spoke with Joseph M. who took my number and called me back to let me know it is still available for purchase. I also informed Joseph we were coming from New Jersey and told him the exact time we would be arriving. After driving for over hour we arrived and saw Joseph with the vehicle, he had it running, we checked it out and it seemed fine, he took my license to make a copy so we could take it for a test drive. He came back 5 minutes later and told us the vehicle was sold just 10 minutes prior to our arrival. We spoke with this man at approximately 6pm and we arrived at 8:20pm, we even spoke to him at least twice on our way there and there was no talk of the vehicle being sold. read more

From day 1 - I picked up my Lexus ES350 on 12/31/13. Part on the deal was floor mats and some side trim. It had to be left at the dearer over night to install this trim. I got a "free loaner car" (They don't actually have free loaner car, you must sign a contract from some rent-a car company) The overnight turned out to be 3 or 4 days. I told the valet when I picked up the car that the gas tank wasn't full. He said " just bring it back with the same amount of fuel that was in it" I put about 30 miles on the car and put $10. of gas in the tank. When they finally called me to pick up they charged me another $11.00 for gas. No big deal, but bugged me after just spending $40 or so thousand for this new car. I,m retired and after one year I only had 4200 thousand miles on the car and went for my "free inspection" Telling the service man that I am emission exempt because I drove less than 5000 miles. He lies to me and tells me the first year of a new vehicle you must have the emission test done and charged me $60.00 or so for this test. Oh well Here it is now just shy of 2 years since i had the car. I called for my "free inspection" and while I'm there, have the oil changed. I tell the service man I am emission exempt because I only put 4002 miles on the car in the year. I get the hard to read bill, payed it with credit card and went home to study is and found that the emission charge was on there again this year. I called the service manager and he said because it wasn't actually a full year (It was 4 days shy of a full year) I looked up the PA exempt law a realized these people are cheating us to pay for their "free cookies" I called the service manager and he said he would reimburse me about half the charges because I didn't know it had to be exactly "one year", not 4 days shy. So far I was not reimbursed for any thing. So with a 15% coupon it cost me $123 for an oil change and some "free stuff" If all new car dealers are like this, I won't ever go back to any of them. I have past experience purchasing luxury cars but I can honestly say that my experience at Thompson Lexus (with Karin) was the most fun I had. It was a super easy process without the usual pressure associated with the car buying process. My first experience at this dealership was beautiful but my most recent was not. I went in to trade up thinking that my experience would be the same and it wasn't. I received no call from the sales person to even ask how everything was going nonetheless 4 days later I'm truly un satisfied with the new vehicle. In trying to get through to management they gave me the run around all day to finally say at 5:30pm there was nothing that could be done. As a business owner myself I know how much customer service and customer satisfaction means. I have recommended this dealership to 5 of my clients and 3 have purchased vehicles from here. Terrible service. I took my 450 h to routine maintenance 40 k and after they touched it my mpg dropped from 27 to 20.5 , now I need to take it to Wilkie and have it checked to see what the heck they did wrong. They supposed to change my battery for the key , I asked them twice , after I left still getting message on the board low key battery . read more

I was initially happy with my shopping experience. Made a deal on a new ES 350 and put down $500 deposit. I told them up front I was arranging my own financing (for 1.49%....half the 2.9% rate the dealer was offering!) The sales contract I signed included a $500 "rebate" from Lexus. In the week between signing and pick-up I had several conversations with my sales rep. No problems. Then two hours before I am to pick up the car I get a phone call: I am not entitled to the "rebate" since I didn't finance through Lexus ( it is true: this is a stipulation of the rebate, a fact they withheld from me.). This was not, as was claimed, an oversight. This was clearly a deception, calculated to back me into a corner. Their solution? Re-do the financing through Lexus, then use my original loan to pay off the Lexus loan after a month. Sorry, I won't play that game. Honor your contract for the price you offered me. No? Then the deal is off. A final insult: It took three phone calls and over two weeks to get my deposit back. The sales rep (no longer working there) flat out lied to me that the refund had been submitted, when it had not. A manager finally resolved the issue for me in less than 30 minutes. We all know that car buying is about the "art of the deal", but at a high end Lexus dealership I was not prepared for such a deceptive and insulting experience. Beware! read more

Buyer beware. We were lured into their dealership by a letter inviting us to a 7 hr invitation only event with the promise that Thompson would give us "up to" 19,000 for our trade. After wasting a couple of hours the shell game started. The sales rep told us that our trade was in excellent condition and believe me it is. Then she proceeded to inform us that our trade was worth a lot less than the amount stated in their letter. Funny that the condition of our car dropped to average when it came to talking money. Then she said that if we had read the small print in their letter we would have understood that the trade in value, that lured us into their dealership, was based on the msrp price of the new vehicle. Wow go figure that this wasn't in regular print right next to the stated trade in value. They basically got us in there to low ball us on our trade and to try and get us to pay full sticker price on a new car. Needless to say we got up and left the dealership. If you ask me Thompson's letter was misleading. Just plain old fashioned false advertising. I'm sorry we wasted our valuable time on them. I'm with Jason F go somewhere else unless you like over paying for your car. I'm sure we can find a reputable lexus dealer elsewhere. read more

I will never take my car to be serviced at this place again. I went in for an oil change and I was told by the service advisor that I needed to replace the valve cover gaskets on my vehicle because oil was leaking and he told me that the job would take 5.5 hours and the total cost would be $985. I went to another shop to get a second opinion and I asked the shop to do an evaluation on my vehicle (which I had to pay for) A dye test was performed, a visual inspection was performed, and the mechanic even showed me with my own two eyes that there wasn't a leak anywhere in my vehicle. So basically someone tried to weasel $985 out of a customer who has been a loyal customer for years and what's really disappointing about the entire situation is that I had planned on purchasing a new Lexus in December from thompson lexus since mine is now 11 years old but now I'm going to purchase my vehicle from Wilkie Lexus instead. read more
