The bartender's name was either Eric or jake , and the barback was Cayden. Cayden seemed to notice what was happening, but he appeared young and understandably didn't want to risk getting in trouble with his boss. At one point, when I mentioned the way we were being treated, he responded, "Well, that's my boss." My husband and I are people of color, and unfortunately, we couldn't help but feel like we were being treated differently because of our skin color. We sat at the bar for about 20 minutes before finally ordering one drink. Shortly afterward, the bartender announced last call. He also closed out our tab without ever asking if we wanted to keep it open. We tried getting his attention again and waited another 15 minutes. When he finally acknowledged us, he said he'd be right with us, but continued serving the local customers. He eventually served everyone who was local and then told us the bar was closed. When I questioned the situation, he cursed at me and said I should have "fucking came earlier" because he was "fucking busy." At that point, it was extremely difficult not to feel like we were being treated differently because we were people of color and not locals. I understand that bartenders get busy, but the difference in how we were treated compared with the local customers was very noticeable. The only positive thing I can say is that the locals themselves seemed welcoming. It's just unfortunate because we have family and friends in the area, and to visit somewhere in a community where we have connections, only to leave feeling disrespected, uncomfortable, and unwelcome, was incredibly disappointing. No one should have to feel like they don't belong somewhere simply because they aren't a local. And regardless of whether someone is a regular or a first-time customer, everyone deserves to be treated with basic courtesy and respect.

We called this restaurant close to 10 PM, and from the moment the hostess answered the phone, we were treated with such kindness and genuine hospitality. We arrived around 10 PM, and not once did we feel like we were an inconvenience or that anyone was trying to rush us out the door. Quite the opposite. From the hostess, to Chef Suli, to our waitress, everyone was absolutely amazing. They were warm, personal, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. What impressed us even more was the food. Even though it was late, nothing felt rushed. The food was prepared with care, and the food was absolutely amazing! You have to order the Babe's wings, the crab stuffed pretzel,and brisket sandwich with the homemade potato chips everything was delicious ! After such a long, exhausting day, this was exactly what we needed. While great food is always important, it's service like this that truly leaves a lasting impression. We live 2 hours away and aren't able to come often, but this experience was so memorable that next year it will definitely be on our must-visit list. We had inquired about LGBT friendly places within a short car ride and were basically told to go to Harrisburg or a small town in Maryland. At that point, that's when things started to get a little weird. After outing ourselves, things got a little uneasy for us. We ended up meeting the owner's grandson. He was great and seconded the suggestions the bartender made. But when he introduced us to the locals at the end of the bar, we kind of wanted to not say much.
