Love this place. So cozy. Real cheap drinks. Kyle is a great bartender. He has the most perfect man buns.

I appreciate a quality dive bar and Beer Bellies is no exception. I used to live in Hanover…read moreTownship but that was before I was of legal drinking age and could patronize such fine establishments. During a few recent sojourns to the San Souci I stopped by Beer Bellies and enjoyed myself immensely. Apart from a general air of unpretentiousness, rejecting the regality of more upscale martini or piano bars, any quality dive bar must also offer cheap drinks and good food: Beer Bellies met all these requirements. During both of my visits to Beer Bellies I was treated to the comedic stylings of James "The Wingman" Holeva. Billed as "the bad boy of comedy," Holeva's politically incorrect routine is reminiscent of Lenny Bruce or vintage Andrew Dice Clay. Beer Bellies earns high marks for their entertainment. After the comedian's set was over a DJ began playing dance hits and continued spinning until last call.

I think his girl friend "oxford comma" or perhaps a random green Volkswagen beetle driving woman, accusingly asked if I was a veteran? I have no idea where she came up with this theory as she was no where near me and I have never served a day nor have I claimed to, but I do support veterans. Ive been going over this odd exchange, as now the PM bar crowd et al yell at me when they pass by? In short while the night bar tender was saying I have no way to pay the bill, I was accosted by a woman I never spoke a word to, accusing me of being a veteran, as if I was wearing something that may suggest I did serve? Sweats sneakers, blank t shirt and NY hat? I told the owner the next day. A very nice man that runs a very nice place in the day. I imagine he meets all sorts of odd people and just dismissed me as so. I bought a ginger ale and asked him to charge my card immediately, it worked fine, I handed him my bank statement, cropped of course, from the previous night and it showed no declined purchases.- Nice place in the day but The night crowd are a different story. I toned my review down to facts due to people harassing me at night when driving by. I doubt they will stop but I stuck to facts and removed opinions I had posted that may have been based on the insulting way I was treated.

This is not a place you just "happen across" by accident. We needed a place to meet that was in the…read moremiddle for two families...did a little looking online, and decided on The Port. It's a tiny town bar, in a tiny town so...ya never know how that will work out. The service was pretty good, it was a little busy when we got there but, they managed to squeeze us in. We were relegated to the "upstairs" which definitely was "under construction" but considering the fact that we showed up with no knowledge that a reservation would have been more helpful...it was all good. They sat us pretty quickly so...no biggie! The food...THE FOOD! The first that came out were "pork bites"...WTH?! They were AMAZING! We all agreed that if the rest of the food was like that...it would not disappoint. We got our drinks...I am into the whole IPA thing, and there was a respectable offering...I tried the New Trail Disc Golf...GLAD I did because THAT'S going on my list! The main meals were REALLY good. I had the Black and Blue burger (GET IT!) along with others who all agreed it was very good. My 17 year old son had The Flight burger with fries. He said it was really good, and seriously could only finish half! If you are within an hour drive of this place, and you just want to try something different...GO!...JUST...GO!!!

This little divey spot has unexpectedly delicious food that will keep you coming back. I started…read moreoff with an order of the Crabby Bites. Basically mini crab cake balls, deep fried and served with a side of the house cajun ranch. It was a great size for sharing, but I could have easily put down 2 orders of these. They were moist inside, perfectly fried, and the ranch had a nice flavor without being too hot. For my main I ordered their Maine Lobster Roll. Fresh cold lobster mixed with mayo and celery salt and comes with a lemon wedge on the side. I've had some really good rolls while visiting New England and this roll stood up to the others. Generous lobster portions, and the perfect ratio of mayo without making the sandwich soggy. It was delicious and hit my craving. At the Port, the outdoor seating is where it's at. A fully enclosed patio, fans, and a full service bar. Inside, they have a fully stocked beer wall with loads of beers on tap to try. The down sides here are that it is in a residential neighborhood with on street parking. Get ready to drive around looking for a spot and be prepared to walk. The Port is currently rated a 9.1 on my Beli and is worth a stop whether you're looking for some good beer or delicious pub food.
