A friend from the area suggested this place as it was just down the street from an event they were going. I got there about 430pm on a weekday, and it was quiet. A couple of people were sitting at the bar. The restaurant has a very large u shape bar. I think this is the feature of the location. With tables around the bar area plus a small outdoor patio with 6-8 tables. The inside dark, which is suitable for a bar. Our waitress was super friendly- she came and check on me multiple times while I waited for my friends. She understood well that we were in a hurry, so she assisted us and getting us what we needed and on the road. The restaurant offers a lot of menus. Plus, they have a kids menu. With that they offer a wide selection of food and drinks. My friend informed me that the chicken wings are good. Another appetizer caught my eye-- I spotted pierogis on the menu- they were filled with potatoes and cheese. I was in heaven. They were served with a lot of onions and sour cream. I really enjoyed them and were quite a treat as not easily found where I live. The children ordered pizza off the kids menu- the pizza was like adult size. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. If I lived in the area and was seeking a causal restaurant with a bar vibe, this place is a good location to stop in at. read more

Ted is a big place. Big horseshoe bar. Typical bar look on the inside of the establishment. Our bartender was responsive and did a great job making sure our beverages were always full. I got BBQ Garlic wings. The wings were good. One of the better wings at a bar place. Wings were flavorful, crispy and juice. I would come back again for everything atmosphere food good times. As I'm in the area, we're here pretty often. Food's always great, Wings CAN be hit or miss. Not in the fact that they can be bad, just that it's kind of a gamble on whether or not they'll be as crispy, saucy, etc etc. Besides that, the beer list is extensive, rest of the menu is very consistent and has a lot of options. Has a nice bar-y atmosphere and waitresses have always been super nice to us! My only REAL gripe with the place's bathrooms arent the cleanest in the world, but you're in a bar! Ted's is way better than the current 3.1 rating it has. Driving by it appears like just another sports bar, and when you walk in it seems just a just a bunch of locals downing beer. But give Ted's a minute, and you will be impressed. They have a surprisingly robust menu with seafood, pizza, great wings, and plenty of appetizers and entrees to satisfy a large group. The bar area has an abundance of large screen TVs so they are sure to have the game you are looking for. The beer menu is very diverse with craft beers and all he big bottle choices. Don't let the sports bar vibe fool you, there's separate rooms off to the side which make it a good place to bring the kids or other non-drinkers to. This is located in a quiet street corner. It has a huge indoor dining area as well as a well-sheltered outdoor that is dog-friendly. You would have to enter from the side entrance with your dog. Our server was friendly and brought us all the necessary flatware even before we ordered! Never happened to us before but we loved it. I ordered the fish & chips. Not sure where to start. Dinner for 8. First round of drinks took forever. Of the 8, 2 meals were wrong, one never came. When the meal didn't come ( a burger and onion rings) with everyone else's food, they apologized that it was given away to someone else and they'd make her another. Some time later, that never came so when asked about it they said they were making her a new one. How long can that take?? Told her to box it if it is done before we were leaving. Finally, she asked my sister in law if she wanted a box and she said no. When she came back with them, she tried to hand one to her and she said no again. The server walked behind me, and mumbled "You could have f/ing said that at first". - Which she did, I had heard her. I ordered déjà vu wings and onion rings with a cherry Pepsi. Our server, Lauren, is completely amazing! Loved having her with us today! My wings were superb! The sauce is hot sauce and blue cheese dressing mixed together. It has a lot of huge blue cheese chunks too! Yum! The onion wings were crunchy and had boom boom sauce. My Pepsi was made with grenadine to be a cherry Pepsi. Highly recommend this meal and Ted's. Friday at 2pm is a peaceful timeframe to have lunch. It was very clean, bathroom was a bar bathroom though. Pee on the floor and it smelled like a big poo was just dropped. No hand towels to dry our hands- we had to use our pants. We were visiting Hershey and stayed in Harrisburg. We needed a dog friendly spot and found this on BringFido. We went on a chilly Saturday night and they welcomed us with a table inside and a water bowl for Harley, which she immediately spilled because she's a terrible guest. We got bbq chicken special, the special fries, a steak and we over ordered. We needed to go boxes. Tasty brussel sprouts and fries. So good. I was underwhelmed with our food this evening , we specifically look forward to the brussels sprouts , they were over cooked and dried up hardly any balsamic on them , we were both so disappointed , I had the linguine Alfredo with scallops DRY DRY DRY the Alfredo sauce was barely covering the pasta and the broccoli was cold had to be sent back , drinks were good and service as well , I really hope this is not the way of their food now , will give them one more try hopefully I won't be disappointed read more

We made our first visit to Ted's on a friends recommendation and will be returning in the future. The large bar area provided ample space to relax and chat with friends. Not once during our entire visit did we feel rushed or encouraged to move along by the bartenders. Even though this was our first visit, the bartenders were great, friendly, and had a good sense of humor! Ted's has a nice selection of craft beer, cocktails, and a full bar to accommodate any order. During this visit we sampled a couple food items. The pretzel sticks with beer cheese and the Philly Cheese Steak wrap with fries. Both were very good, large portions and priced right. I was impressed on all the prices at Ted's! It's nice to see a place that is able to maintain a good price point and still serve quality food and drink. But there is a group of locals that sit at one particular part of the bar whose vocabulary consists mainly of the F word. The more they drink the worse it gets. And it's every time we visit. Some of my family & I were in the area for a few days & were looking for good places to eat. Ted's came up as a suggestion & after seeing Prime Rib on the menu, we decided to give it a go. The dining room area is small compared to the bar seating area, but that did not detract at all from the excellent service, food, & drinks. The drinks from the bar were great, the French Onion soup is hands down one of the best I've ever had, the fried calamari was perfectly cooked, & the Prime Rib was tender & tasty. They also didn't skimp on the sides. We will definitely be coming back to Ted's when we're in this area! read more

Upon our first visit (mid December 2021) since covid hit we were very disappointed with the service. The food was okay but the service was notably poor. We simply attributed the poor service to a dimished labor pool in these "vid times". Our next visit was about 45 days ago. We walked in and stood in the waiting area for a hostess/server to seat our party. In spite of having a couple of waitresses and bartenders look directly at us (several times) we were left standing with no staff interaction for over 15 minutes. The place was certainly not busy and there were plenty of tables available. We ended up leaving without any interaction from the staff. Again, we attributed the poor service to "vid-related" labor pool issues. We really want to see Ted's shine as it did in "pre-vid" times so we had to give it one....more....try. Unfortunately, last evening, our suspicions were confirmed. The worst (or something close) had happened to this place. The staff displayed the same complete lack of effort, awareness, enthusiasm and pride in their service to customers and the owners of this once fine establishment. We stood in the waiting area as waitress and bartenders looked directly at us several times. We even had two diffrent servers walk right past us, within arms reach, and no one uttered a word to us. We don't set the customer service bar very high but we would have liked to at least be welcomed or maybe just a little acknowledgement. It's not hard to say "someone will be right with you" or " we are running a bit behind". We would have even been ok with a statement like "I'm sorry, but we unable to handle any more patrons this evening. Please come back another time". Instead we saw blank stares from the servers, groups of servers chatting (several times) instead of tending to customers and two bartenders who, we thought, looked like they might have had a clue but it ended up being an overly optimistic assumption on our behalf. I am saddened to have had to give this review but the ownership has GOT to know what is going on in this once fine community water-hole and gathering place. read more

Have been going to Teds for years and have always loved it. However, it's just not the same. Wings are mostly drumettes, not many flats so it depends what you like. Lots of variety on the beer list but if you find one you like, they might not have it the next time. Rachel sandwich has always been good. But last time it was really soupy - coleslaw juice everywhere. Teds Tavern Burger is tasty but so messy - 1/2 of the way through it had to be eaten with a fork. The clams, they were barely the size of dimes and about 3-4 were really sandy. We weren't given appetizer plates and waitress forgot a drink order. Overall, it's a great place to meet friends and hang for a beer at the bar. Lots of tvs, nice staff. For a good meal though, we might be checking out some other options. read more
