But after the last interaction yesterday, I will never consider buying anything here. Apparently it was too difficult to attempt to locate or order a 3-1/2" idler pulley for my 30 year old mower. I stopped in B/C I prefer face to face interaction and support of local businesses. The guy behind the counter, although he was nice, simply wouldn't even take 5 minutes to order a $30 pulley. The whole interaction was less than 45 seconds, barely looked at the part in my hand and told me to get it from Amazon and there was no way he could help, instead of pulling out the Oregon book he has behind the counter and flipping through some pages or trying to even see if they had anything close. Too bad, I was hoping to purchase a new machine this year from them with cash. Guess I'll find somewhere that isn't too lazy to help.

It was a simple fix, but had to load it back up, haul it back to Gresham. They promptly fixed the problem and we returned home. I called to see if I could be compensated some for our time, lost and not being able to get my garden in with the sunshine before it rained . I was told definitely not , think I'll take my business somewhere else next time.

They had some pre-fab chicken coops outside for sale, and since eggs are so expensive. It actually made me think about the possibilities. :) since eggs are so expensive and all. We've been taking our dog here for years to get his nails trimmed. There is high turnover (maybe…read morenormal in this industry?) and in the past our dog has left in higher distress. But the current groomers have been AMAZING and I want to say what an outstanding job the groomer did today. My dog was just healed from a fracture (we think from jumping out of the car) and she took extra care with him, making sure he was comfortable and did his nails on the ground so he wouldn't jump down from the table. I came in New Year's Eve at approximately 11:30 AM to wash my dog and while in line to pay there was a lady ahead of me with her dog and two children around five and six years old. She was extremely rude to the cashier Jeff. Apparently she wanted a dog wash and they were out of towels. She was very hostile towards Jeff and wanted a discounted rate which was already very reasonable at $10 including dog wash and also the supplies. She was also cussing at her children to the point of child abuse. She kicked my service dog in the face. Luckily he's very gentle and well trained. He moved back so that he barely got contact from her. I let her know hitting a service dog is a federal offense. I think Jeff should be commended for being so professional. She was the worst customer a person could ever hope to have. He handled it so well. When I went to wash my dog in the back she was already there washing her dog in the wash next to mine. I ignored her, but she continued, abusing her children cussing at them and threatening to beat them if they didn't listen to her. I feel bad that Jeff had to take that abuse yesterday and that we all had to witness that terrible woman's hostile actions. The wage Jeff handled it should not go unmentioned. He should be commended for being so professional in such an awful situation.

So I made my way to Tony's to stock up and get started. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Prices vary from reasonable to very expensive but that's to be expected with such a grand variety. This last season I lost a couple of small grasses and a couple of lupine to the hot summer heat but everything else looks great. The large hanging baskets that I put into the large pots on my deck were my favorites. I'll be back in the spring for more things to beautify my yard.
