Yesterday I had an MRI at this location, I drove all the way from Hollywood and I can't say enough good things about my experience. My doctor, Dr. Caroline Pieszak, recommended this place, and I'm so grateful she did. I usually get very anxious about MRIs, so I made sure to let them know ahead of time. When I arrived, they were incredibly kind and understanding. They gave me an eye mask, lavender patches, and a warm blanket -- such a thoughtful touch. I truly believe the lavender patches helped calm me and made a big difference. From start to finish, everyone was so nice, patient, and caring. I felt comfortable and supported the entire time, which is not something I usually say about MRIs. I'm so happy I found this place, and I will never go anywhere else for an MRI again. Nancy Hernandez, the facilities manager, shared my personal medical history to a room full of waiting patients. While there was an issue with a scan/report that she was not personally responsible for, her disdainful, arrogant and dismissive behavior towards a patient clearly struggling with their system, was humiliating and entirely unprofessional. She was unwilling to assist and her own staff apologized for her lack of professionalism and disregard of my medical privacy. Nancy was so annoyed by my request for a re-review/addendum to an insufficient report she slammed the door behind me as I left the facility. She should not be working directly with patients and is a poor representative of RadNet/Rolling Oaks Radiology. read more

Rough start to my interactions here. I was scheduled for an open MRI, but when I was already being taken in to the changing area the tech told me that I couldn't have the open MRI machine; it would have to be the full tube. Um, no. That's not going to work for me on several levels. Also, why wasn't this indicated beforehand? The only way I could tolerate an enclosed MRI would be with advance prep. None of this was discussed with me ahead of time. So I wasted a good chunk of my afternoon, taking time off work, only to not be able to get the diagnostic test that I need to move on to treatment. It felt like the whole experience was handled with inadequate communication. Additionally, the tech kept trying to talk me in to "just trying" the other machine. If I had wanted just a traditional MRI procedure, instead of the open option, I could have gone to a different facility. The reason that my doctor booked me with this one was it's one of the few open machines in the area. Additionally, I had indicated multiple times that I have a recording device implanted for a heart condition, and the tech was the one who told me that it won't work with an open MRI. Gee, the doctor didn't think that was the case. Then I was patient-shamed because I didn't have the implant device card on me. I found out later from the cardiologist's office that they mail them some time after the implant - could be several months later. I thought they gave it to me at the time and I was the one who misplaced it. No, turns out that I never received it. Being treated as though I was careless on top of the other inconveniences of the experience did not endear me to this facility. I was pretty hopping mad when I left there, actually. I would hope for a better result on a subsequent visit which will have to be rescheduled after two other doctors confer and get on the same page. Very frustrating! read more

This was THE BEST imaging office I have been to so far and my experience was extremely positive. Over the last month I've had many CT scans done and then needed to move on to get an MRI. This whole process has been new to me and I learned the hard way that I am claustrophobic after attempting to get an MRI completed elsewhere. This is when I found out this imaging center/office does have what they call an "open MRI" machine. If you are someone who is claustrophobic or even unsure, I would highly recommend finding a clinic that has an open MRI machine. I can't tell you how happy I was to find that not only did this office have one of those machines. they also had an opening for the following morning when I had called. I needed an MRI immediately and was so grateful to get in. My experience from start to finish here was super positive and reassuring. Having gone to a different office the day before and had a panic attack with the closed MRI machine, I was already feeling sensitive but when I came here, everyone was so nice and caring. The staff were super kind and professional. They made me feel comfortable and the whole process was seamless. I like that the waiting room is comfortable and also when they take you into the back, there is a secondary waiting room where you sit once you're changed and waiting to get your imaging done. That second waiting room was very tranquil and calming, which helped my anxiety a lot. I had two girls help me with the MRI open machine in the back and they were lovely. I am really just sorry I don't remember their names but I've had so many doctors appointments lately it's been hard to keep track. One of the staff was a seasoned worker, and the other was transparent that she was a student worker. I noticed they do have a lot of student workers here which is very cool. Both girls again were super kind and patient with me while getting my MRI done/getting comfortably set up in the machine. Once the imaging was done, I only had to wait about five minutes in the lobby until they had my CD disc ready to pick up . I did have to pay out-of-pocket here, but I would say it was worth every penny because the staff are super kind, the facility was very clean and comfortable, and they have a machine that caters to people who are anxious to be in tight quarters, which is such a luxury. I would highly recommend coming here and if for some reason I ever need imaging done in the future, I would come here 100% . read more

Dealing with some health issues and have had to undergo a few studies/tests. Staff was nice. I was tended to timely and my doctor got the results from my tests within a few days which allowed for him to order additional tests to further determine what's going on. I appreciate how fast my doctor was able to get the tests he needed and I can continue on my healing journey. read more

May I give a 0? I truly don't understand why they haven't been shut down. Not one person there can admister an IV - and, of course, they waited to attempt AFTER a 45 minute scan that is now unusable. I am so thankful for the front desk receptionist Jessie! I went through hell with the Simi valley rolling oaks over insurance issues I was there for three hours for them to tell me I owed over a grand because I was out of network when they told me I was when I first got there. I missed out on work and then I rescheduled here and online told me the same thing I would owe over a grand which was not true per my insurance so I was so upset and stressed I have a surgery coming up and Jessie absolutely fixed the issue to the correct amount per my insurance and he was able to relieve all my anxiety and stress. This may well be my FIRST-EVER NEGATIVE REVIEW! Yesterday, I endured a horrible experience...if I could have given a NEGATIVE grade, I certainly would have done so! I was on Hold with the Scheduling department for 73 minutes...and this was after hanging up following a 45-minute wait earlier in the day! After hanging up, I called the front desk to complain. They said that they would be willing to schedule my appointment...but my file was SOMEHOW in possession of the Scheduling department so the front desk would not be able to schedule my appointment. They put me back into the queue for the Scheduling department, and someone finally picked up ONE HOUR AND THIRTEEN MINUTES after the front desk transferred me back to Scheduling. My referring physician says they have some high-tech equipment for the procedure I need, so I am constrained by 'golden handcuffs'. However, if you require a procedure that does not necessitate any high-tech equipment, I STRONGLY ADVISE you to look elsewhere. Don't take my word...go by the experience of all the others who have given this JOKE the LOWEST POSSIBLE RATING! I was very impressed with this imaging center. Because I have a double hip replacement, their equipment saved me from having to drive far for my scan. They were excellent about getting my insurance approved and kept me informed every step of the way. The online check-in made my visit quick and easy, and the techs were friendly, professional, and made sure I was comfortable during my hour-long scan. Overall, a great experience--I highly recommend them. read more

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had going into for imaging. Not only was the front desk staff incredible rude and unprofessional upon arrival, the woman snatched paperwork out of my hand and proceeded to raise her voice at me in the middle of the lobby. Shady billing practices, I have been over charged here twice now and always have to call accounting for an adjustment.

Services themselves are great. Billing practices not so much. They expect payment at time of service and then after receiving insurance payments, send an additional bill. Not a problem in itself. The second bill does not include the original charges and payments, it is only a balance due with no explanation. Calling the office for a full accounting gets you nowhere as they don't send it. They then send you to collections. I had told the representative when I called, I was happy to pay my bill if I could get an accurate accounting of services, costs, and payments. I am giving one star due to billing practices but would give five stars for service technicians. read more

Some of the reviews on here are a little harsh but i did witness a lack of patience with the Patients. The back office experience was much more pleasant however the doctor doing the injection was an hour late and I arrived early. there were scheduling issues with almost eveyone that came in. The tech forgot to give me a blanket even though we discussed it several times . I never received a call or text the day before confirming the appointment so I called this AM and they had no idea which facility i had booked at thank goodness i had the address . My doctor sent me here for a second opinion on the last MRI that i had elsewhere but if I can avoid Rad Net facilities i will in the future. It's not been pleasant at any of them - this one was the coldest prob 50 degrees in there so dress like it's winter . read more

I just had my second mri done here at Rolling Oaks, aka Thousand Oaks MDI, this year and have had nothing but great experiences on both visits. I've waited no more than 15 min after check-in to get back to their Mri area. Staff is courteous. Radiologic technologists let me know what to expect, offered earplugs, video goggles and blanket, which really made both appointments that much easier. When I made my appointments, I requested the open bore mri machine, which works much better for me. Open bore mri felt was less intense all around and not enclosed like their whole-body MRI machine. For mri done on knees, I was told it would take 15 min and was given a heads up when 5 minutes remained. Before leaving, I asked for a cd of my images, which they burned (lol) for me. Results take 3-5 business days. Although Rolling Oaks gets swamped with patients, both of my appointments ran like clockwork which I appreciate very much. Kudos to Rolling Oaks TO and their stellar staff! read more

I was scheduled for a mri on Friday January 1st but was ask if I could come in earlier; I agreed and because I got the time wrong I was 15 minutes late and was told I missed my appointment and had to be rescheduled. I was rescheduled for the next day; meantime I injured the knee that was schuled for the mri and unable to walk. Now I am considering calling 911 for an escort to the emergancy room. If your policy is for 15 minutes for late?? arrival, please reconsider. I have spent 30 to 50 minutes waiting when arriving on time at other offices., NEXT DAY: Again I was called to take an earlier appointment. This time I refused and went at the assigned time. After the MRI was completed and as I was making my way to my car, I noticed the office was closing. I am assuming now that the reason I was not tested the first day is that it was Friday and the staff wanted to close the facility early. read more

Avoid this place!! My wife and I just wasted an afternoon there for a scheduled scan. Nobody on staff was competent enough to put in an IV. We left with no scan and my wife looking like a pin cushion with bandages all over. She said some of their 7 attempts were painful. One was still bleeding when we got home. Now we need to reschedule, take more time off work, and reorder the drugs for her anxiety, which has only increased. Worst experience at a medical facility ever. Not to mention the delay to a treatment. They showed zero sympathy. Simply awful. read more

This is one of many radiology facilities belonging to Radnet and honestly probably the most inefficient and shameful they own. Located in a dinky old building with close to zero parking that gets overcrowded during their busy hours.The waiting room dark gloomy straight out of a 70s movie with very few chairs to sit and wait. And they make you WAIT ...a lot. But that's for lucky ones who actually got insurance approval. Now for those unlucky souls -here are the highlights: They're supposed to get authorizations from the insurance carrier prior to the testing but hey ,why would they bother, right? And forget a message from them telling you they didn't get the authorization either. You get to your appointment and the staff tries to lure you to do self pay which is SUPER SCAMMY! Tip: don't even bother complaining since there's no active supervisor to talk to when you call the general number . Bottom line - avoid avoid avoid read more

Why is the office staff picking up/making personal phone calls while working? and why is she whispering as if the people in the lobby can't hear her ? mind you she is not on a break (or at least I assume she isn't because she's the person checking people in and handing outgoing patients CDs; she's also sitting at the front desk) Please do NOT work in healthcare of any kind if you don't have patience :). The office staff were incredibly rude. She kept speaking over the patient and kept trying to speak past the patient (to the person accompanying them) because the patient took a bit longer to answer. Also repeating the same phrase in an increasingly irritated tone is not going to help the patient understand what you are saying :) perhaps try rephrasing your point so that it is easier to understand. I watched a man try to book another appointment at this facility with this woman and she just kept reading dates and times while this man was checking his calendar and clearly struggling to remember/check all the dates because she was just reading through them. This man wasn't slow, it obviously just takes time to check your availability for a specific date and when someone reads dates + times on those dates to you and says: " which one do you want?" It can be a bit difficult to comprehend the information that was just given and make a decision. The man then had to clarify the dates and times, which is a completely valid request, so she had to read the dates/times again but slower. She could have just started out by reading them slower and saved this man some panic. The technician performing the imaging was nice and patient. Much better than the office staff (or maybe I just thought he was nice by comparison). We had gone to another rolling oaks location for a CT scan earlier in the day and technician was much more considerate of the patient there, but maybe this guy had a long day. Note: you may want to have patients take off their glasses after they sit onto the MRI table/bench. Why do you want "blind" people walking around the MRI room? Overall I would say it's ok to get your imaging done here as the office staff aren't the ones taking the images you need. read more

Had a great experience with my MRI at 7:20 today. I had Terri as my technician. She was wonderful. It's a state of the art open MRI machine. She talked me through each slide and how long it was. All in all it took about 20 minutes. The place is nice and very clean. Got right in at my apt time. Small parking lot that was completely filled when I left at 8 am. Walked in and could hear them gossiping and talking shit. After sitting down we could hear the receptionist answering the phone and talking rude to the patients about scheduling (2 different calls). She even put them on hold and slammed the phone down. At one point she loudly said "f*^k". Then when i went back for my appointment it was creepy and the technician was not very welcoming. After deciding not to do the mri due to the dexter vibe I got, I asked the technician for one of the front desk girls name and he said he doesn't give out names lol. I was like she works the front desk, he was like "ya i don't give out names". When I left I asked the front receptionist her name and she was telling me to have a seat and she would get back to me. The two stars are for the imaging technicians-they were so nice! But unfortunately, I cannot give any more stars because of those working the front desk. I will never come to this location again! "Medical Diagnostic Imaging" doesn't even come close to the high quality service I've received at Rolling Oaks Radiology in T.O., Simi Valley and the two locations in Oxnard! I was told to arrive 20 minutes early for my 10:15am MRI appointment - WHY? It was a waste of my time! I sat and waited from 9:55am to 10:40am then asked "how much longer I was going to have to wait." They tell me they don't know. CLEARLY There is zero communication between the front desk and the techs. They're completely clueless and insensitive. I watched the lobby fill and clear 2X over and no one could tell me how much longer it would be. One of the gals tells me she needs to call back to the techs to see how behind they are. Still nothing. I asked Again, about 20 mins later (11am) and she had no idea what to tell me. I'm sorry I cannot wrap my brain around why I wasn't told they're running behind? Finally I'm told that they were able to talk to the tech and they said it should be about 15 mins, 30mins at the latest. Now I'm mad because it's been an hour and 10 minutes that I have been sitting in pain and feeling very cranky. By 11:20 one of the front desk gals takes me back...I apologized for being a little harsh and explained I'm in a lot of pain and have been waiting over an hour and you know what? She completely ignored what I was saying starts talking over me and says "it's not on us because it's the techs who are behind". Seriously? I don't need a snotty response that puts the blame on someone else. I responded with "it would've been nice if I was told they were running behind because waiting over an hour without any communication is frustrating and careless." And again she blames the techs! She says "we have no way of knowing" well that's BS! It's their job to stay on top of the schedule, it's their job to be aware of the patients waiting and what the timeframe is looking like in the back. Two of the three girls behind the counter, seem a bit young and could use some etiquette training as they come across a little unprofessional. I sat in that lobby and watched every person that walked in and approached the front counter...I'm serious the girls don't seem to have the necessary training for how to treat/communicate with patients. They don't smile. They're not welcoming and they blurt out to every person that walks in, "Do you have an appointment?" Not "Hi How can I help you?" Also, on my way out I had to stop at the front desk to provide my pain management doctor's information to send my results to- I walked up to the counter to one of the young gals working the front, she wasn't assisting anyone at that moment...I could see she was in the middle of something, as she was looking intently at her computer screen and typing so I waited til she was free. Without looking up she says "do you have an appointment?" THIS REALLY URKED ME! VERY RUDE! I said "yes I did and I just finished my MRI" that's when she looked up-oops! And no expression... I asked if she could please have a copy of my results sent to... and handed her the business card. She took care of it for me, no problem! I am hoping that the owner/management reads this and will address the front desk staff and encourage appropriate communication skills. These gals are representing MDI-My hope is that they will receive a little extra training, learn some management skills and people skills. Especially with paying closer attention to the timing, how long patients are waiting in the lobby rather than ignoring us! And better communication w/the staff/techs in the back in order to accomplish this. MDI again... I truly hope this review rant makes its way to upper management and dealt with. Update 8 days after and no contact from the site manager as they said would be reaching out. If you think they care about patients, think again. Go somewhere else to get your test done. I know I will. Front desk receptionist friendly and efficient, however, my issue is with the tech, McKenna. She was rude, unfriendly and careless. She may hate her job, but your job as a tech with working with patients, is to be courteous and do your job while being friendly. She started off with a short and abrasive attitude. She says, "lie down with your head that way(pointing to the pillow)" when I asked in which direction, she says, "that way". Well, Ms Smarty pants, that way has three directions (back , left side, or right side). Am I supposed to be a mind reader?? She set the tone with her tone right from the beginning. When she started the Ultrasound, she did NOT cover my clothing at all she threw a towel on me and for that I got the gel all over my blouse to which she said, "its water based it will come out". I'm sorry to say, when it dried it did NOT come out-I have pictures and proof. Her carelessness of not properly covering with a towel is unacceptable. Also, at the end she said, "you are all done". I waited and asked are you going to wipe off the gel, to which she replied "I can" and proceeded to clean the probe. So I did it and then noticed that there was so much gel on my side she didn't even care. Rude, unprofessional, disrespectful and careless. I never got to see a technician. After spending over an hour on the phone through multiple calls to their scheduling number, I finally got an appointment for 8pm on a Tuesday. I got a confirmation text that morning. I show up for my appointment and am told that it has been canceled. Why? No reason. They marked me unresponsive, even though every message said to call if I needed to cancel. The office staff was blase and apathetic to put it mildly. Apparently this happens a lot. They rescheduled me for today, but after seeing their F RATING on another site, I decided I am not entrusting my health to anyone associated with Radnet. Stay far away!!!! read more

Do not get an MRI here. I should have listened to the other reviews. I came in on a Sunday at 7:15 am for an MRI of my hip and lumbar spine. I was the only patient. They took me back immediately and I changed and got onto the MRI table. The girl doing the MRI was not very friendly, did not communicate anything with me as I sat in their tiny, cramped machine for 45 minutes! I've had quite a few MRIs elsewhere, and the machines are way more spacious. This was literally making me feel anxious it was so tiny and claustrophobic. I'm not a claustrophobic person either. I could here that she was not capturing images. In my past experience, usually the person doing it checks in on you and asks how you're doing, if you're ok, and telling you they are almost finished and how much time is left. I literally just sat in there and she was absent. After 45 minutes she came in and told me she couldn't capture any images and she's unsure why. She said she was going to try to do my lumbar one. She stuck me back into the machine and I just couldn't take it anymore. I told her I don't feel comfortable anymore, my back is killing me, and I've been sitting in the machine for almost an hour and nothing has been done. Her reply was "nooooo."As if I hadn't been there that long. I had though. Bad reviews I read on here came to my mind and I told her I'm finished and want to reschedule for another place I'm comfortable with. This place I will never return to. The technician seemed to have no confidence in her job, no work etiquette, and no communication skills. I was there for over an hour by the time I walked out and made an appointment at Rolling Oaks Radiology instead. read more

This place is scamming people for their deductibles. They are an in network provider thru my Aetna insurance and my coverage is 100% with $0 deductible. They refused to do my approved mri without collecting $600 up front, saying I hadn't met my deductible yet. I said ok, bill me. They said we can't do that we need the payment now. Called Aetna today and confirmed all imaging is covered at 100%. Called today to file a complaint with the manager, front desk refused to transfer me to her and only offered corporate compliance which sends you straight to a vm. I've been trying to get this urgent mri done for weeks now. insurance and health care is hard enough for people to navigate as is, and on top of that we have to deal with unethical establishments like this trying to scam people for their deductibles. First of all, I am "Not" a fan of MRI's !! So even though I am a Kaiser member they got me approved for an open MRI here. My appointment was scheduled for 9:10 pm. I received a call in the afternoon that they were running about an hour behind and could I come in at 10pm. I arrived at 9:55 and checked in with a very pleasant young lady. I didn't have to wait more then 5 minutes. Then I was greeted by the MRI technician, she was also very pleasant. She told me that the patient in front of me had about 8 more minutes to go and then she would start on me. The whole process wa so easy and I felt so at ease with everyone there. The tech brought me in and helped me every step of the way, she talked to me and made sure I was comfortable. She checked on me every so often to make sure I was ok. I was done and out in just under an hour. I have had other MRI's at other facilities and for sure if I ever need another one I will request to come here. But really the staff is amazing!!! read more

Better late than never...I was seen about a year ago for an ultrasound & pelvic exam and was scheduled at this facility. The front staff was kind. There was a little bit of a wait, but that was ok b/c it allowed me to practice some grounding techniques before my visit. I have the white coat syndrome and get very worked up/worried/anxious as well. Having said that Julie helped put my mind at ease and made a scary situation absolutely better. She was a gem! She explained the process and helped me step by step. For me its the fear of the unknown that gets me every time. She was professional and kept engaging in conversation to make me feel comfortable in an uncomfortable position. She made me feel like a member of her family. Absolute worst customer case, specifically from the front desk. The techs have always been kind but the front desk is absolutely terrible. I have been forced to pay upfront despite insurance authorizations and them covering my full MRI expenses. It took me 9 months to get my first reimbursement and now it has been 6 months waiting for the most recent. No matter how many times you call and are told it will be sent out immediately it is not. Then they ironically have no record of your call the next time you reach out. The reception staff at the office are unbelievably rude, I truly am shocked management is allowing them to run this business into the ground. I would never recommend anyone to seek any sort of testing here. read more

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!! I have been a RN for 25 yrs and I have never seen anyone treat people they way they do here. The ladies at the front desk are HORRIBLE!!!! They just shout at patients though the plastic wall. I came for a MRI and it was so awful I didn't do the test and left. Then they would not give me my money back. I had to call multiple times for them to cancel the charge. Then when I asked for a receipt or documentation they told me they only way the would let me have it is if I drove all the way to the office ( which is 2 hours away) then when I arrived they told me they would not talk to me with out an appointment. I said I'm here to pick up the receipt you refused to send to me. The lady said I need to sign in as a patient. i again explained I am not a patient. I'm pick up a receipt. Had to go in 2X as first MRI had issues. 1st MRI on 4/12. Took them 12 days to provide useless report that did not state facts. They called the next business day to reschedule for 4/26 to reshoot some specific scans. Just got report back. Part of the summary states: "This artifact also introduces some degree of potential error in labeling the spinal levels, and caution is advised if this exam is to be used for presurgical planning."
