I have needed to have several MRIs done over the years, but as a larger gal with claustrophobia this has been a less-than-ideal situation.

My most recent experience was for a neck CT scan. Something I was dreading and really worked up about. Thankfully the staff here were all A+ at helping me navigate something that I was really freaked out by. It starts with the front desk and the man/women duo were friendly, all smiles and instantly gave warmth from the minute I signed in. They didn't know about my nerves but nonetheless they were really nice. The waiting room and back changing area is fine. Nothing specific to write home about but it's clean and they get you in and out so you don't spend much time in those areas. I'd definitely give kudos to the staff for being experts and kind. As I mentioned above the staff running the neck CT scan machine were great. Two gentlemen and I'm sorry I forgot their names (I'm on medical professionals overload - so many nice people too many names to retain). They knew I was scared and they did their best to support me and try to make the process as pleasant / streamline as possible. Even more impressive was when there was an issue post scan they called a doctor right away and got me safely assessed with record speed. It was a lot but solid nice staff make all of the difference.

He has such a close-knit network of fellow physicians that he can call upon whenever a patient needs. Very helpful when second opinions are needed. I have been a patient of Dr. Cohen's for just about 6 years now. I have had just about every abnormal reaction and Dr Cohen has been on top of every situation. His timely responses to me and his after hours efforts to help definitely make a difference in the patients quality of life. It has mine! I am truly grateful for Dr. Cohen and his office staff. He has some of the best staff around too. Dr Cohen and his staff know every patient without having to read your chart every time. Feels like family!! I had an incident (broken ankle) that wasn't Dr Cohens area of expertise but I called him right away and he made sure I was in the best hands for treatment. He even did follow up with me to ensure I was healing overall, not just leaving it to the foot dr. Dr Cohen truly cares about the whole well being of his patients and I recommend him to anyone. I have referred so many of my own contacts to him because he is the best.

Additionally, they were eager to prescribe medication without any proper diagnosis or proof of my condition. The overall attitude of the staff was unprofessional, and the office had an air of arrogance that was off-putting. Maya, a little kindness goes a long way, and to the rest of the office staff--accountability and professionalism matter. I hope to see improvements in the future.

RadNet pushed me toward this location, saying that the Rolling Oaks locale was booked up for all of June and July. Now that I've seen this place, it confirms my suspicions that they're pushing hard to get this facility up to speed more quickly by metering how many appointments they will handle at Rolling Oaks at TOSH. This location didn't work for me for a number of reasons. It feels extra-large and carries a modern, but cold vibe. It can certainly cycle a lot of patients through each day, based on the space in the waiting room, and the changing room and interior waiting area. I don't know how many diagnostic machines they have, which would be a limiting factor. My main challenges with them center around that fact that I'm having a lot of nerve pain issues right now. They're affecting my ability to walk or stand without significant pain. Standing in the queue to wait to be called up to one of the agents was not physically pleasant. That followed more walking than I was expecting, because it's a ways in from the parking lot, and then the waiting room is very large, so that was another gauntlet to cross. Eventually I was the next to be called to check in. I had filled out the online paperwork, but didn't have the time to fool with taking photos of my ID and insurance cards, so that had to be done by the associate at the desk. She also had a couple of forms for me to sign, and took the $40 payment for advanced AI-assisted imaging. If you use a debit card you save 3% over using a credit card. My wait to be called back for the imaging wasn't too long. A pleasant woman showed me to an open changing room. Therein was provided a fresh gown for the waist-up coverage. It's nice that they are freshly packaged for each patient, but they are covered in plastic. That's a lot of plastic bags to throw away each day. I would hope that they are recycled in some fashion; otherwise it's very wasteful. The gown wasn't too small - hooray! The imaging tech was professional and speedy. She apologized for the awkwardness of some of the poses required for the digital mammography. We had a laugh when I commented on the absurdity of what we have to go through to capture these important screening images. Sometimes you have to laugh - making lemonade out of lemons, as it were. All told, the staff members were good to interact with, and the newish facility is very clean. It also just feels massively large, and was physically challenging for me to manage so much walking and standing in my present condition. I longed for the coziness of the old Rolling Oaks / TOSH location.

Wow! Way to discourage women from getting mammograms - this is what Rolling Oaks is all about!…read more My doctor sent me to Rolling Oaks for a mammogram and a DEXA. I called to make an appointment and they called me back. 15 minutes on the phone, the woman on the line had me take a picture and text it to her of the doctor's note - ok done. Then my ID and insurance card photos - alright this is a bit much to do to make an appointment, but ok, done. The day before my visit I get an email (which is asking for my photo ID, My insurance and my doctor's note again. I was in the middle of a deposition downtown and could not reply. There is nothing new in the email - they are simply attempting to get you to upgrade your mammogram. The appointment was made for today and I showed up to the place listed on the back of my report (415 Haaland I think, I have been here several times before.) Nope - we have changed locations and you need to drive to Hillcrest, do not worry I will call them and let them know you are on the way. I get there at 10:29 and the woman behind the counter says we may not be able to get you in because you needed to check in at 10:20. I explained that it would be nice if they let the doctor's know of the change in location and that someone had just called from the other Rolling Oaks. Nope no call had been made. She hands me paperwork and I say nope - not unless you can see me. Anyway I did fill it out and I was seen. The staff is nice but this is a money making machine. It is like this every single time I go and I am two years late because I do not want to deal with the hoops they make you jump through. It is gonna be another 2 years if anyone tries to send me back here. I will not go again. - WE WORK - do not make us spend 30 minutes on the phone and on line and then make us come in early for an appointment. - If you need someone to show up at a certain time MAKE THAT THE APPOINTMENT TIME. Three women were turned away because they did not arrive 10 minutes prior to their appointment. (Let's just hope they are OK. - If WOMEN'S HEALTH is your priority do a better job.

I have been on Hold with the Scheduling department for 67 minutes...and this was after hanging up following a 45-minute wait earlier today! After hanging up, I called the front desk to complain. They said that they would be willing to schedule my appointment...but my file was SOMEHOW in possession of the Scheduling department so the front desk would not be able to schedule my appointment. They put me back into the queue for the Scheduling department, and it is now ONE HOUR AND THIRTEEN MINUTES since the front desk transferred me back to Scheduling. My referring physician says they have some high-tech equipment for the procedure I need, so I am constrained by 'golden handcuffs'. However, if you require a procedure that does not necessitate any high-tech equipment, I STRONGLY ADVISE you to look elsewhere.
