My experience with Three Day Rule was mixed, but ultimately thoughtful and professionally handled. My first matchmaker (whom I won't name) was not able to deliver a match who met the criteria we had agreed on within the agreed upon timeframe, and communication was inconsistent. When I raised my concerns, Three Day Rule handled it well and offered a do-over package with a matchmaker of my choice, Krissy. Krissy is clearly passionate and diligent. She communicates promptly, provides regular updates, and kept to the agreed timeline. I purchased two "The One" packages. The first was a very positive experience and deserves five stars. My initial match was someone I already knew from an online improv class but who I hadn't met in person or in a social context; he was kind, engaging, intelligent, handsome, well-dressed and we enjoyed two dates before mutually deciding to remain friends. A bonus match from that package was also intelligent, kind, and reasonably physically attractive, though he had challenges knowing what was appropriate to say in the moment. The second package was disappointing. Krissy did give me a bonus match. While both matches were successful, kind, and intelligent men, they did not align with the preferences we had discussed or the examples I had shared. For me, physical attraction isn't everything, personality and character matter far more, but there does need to be some baseline physical compatibility for a romantic connection to develop. The second bonus match was so far outside of what I found physically attractive that I informed him that I would be happy to meet him for the purposes of potentially making a new friend but that I wouldn't see our meetup as romantic in nature. I felt like it was important to be honest, as I wanted to be respectful of his time. After that, he declined to meet up. I felt like Krissy had decided to stop matching based on what I found physically attractive in the second package. It was also disappointing that the matches seem to get progressively worse with each new match from Three Day Rule, instead of progressively better. It's worth noting that Three Day Rule made a genuine effort to ensure a positive experience. In addition to the coaching sessions included with my packages, they offered three additional complimentary sessions when I expressed dissatisfaction. While coaching wasn't my primary reason for joining, I appreciated how responsive and customer-focused the company was throughout the process. read more

You'll get excited to have pictures done, 'coaching' and feel like you have support because ''they understand you'. But you don't get to see the profile they write about you, they don't tell you where they find 'matches'. I had my 'matchmaker' changed after 1 month in bc it took me 30 seconds to dig on social media to find the 'match' they sent me was everything I said would be a deal breaker. Over three months in and I have zero to show for this except embarrassment and what could have been a vacation and GOOD experiences. Invest your money in anything else but this. read more

I used this service about 3 years ago. Signing up was the worst financial decision I have ever made. It was an utter waste of time and money. I worked with two different matchmakers. The first could not be bothered to reply to my emails. The second matched me with people who did not meet the criteria we'd talked about. This company is excellent at marketing. They are lazy, inept, and ineffective at everything else they purport to do; namely, the actual matchmaking. Don't make the same mistake I did in falling for this scam. I'm now in a very happy relationship with someone I met on the apps! I just wish I could get my money back. The texting and explicitly short responses and game playing and ghosting is so frustrating for me and everyone I have spoken. I receive a profile and photos and phone number with a message ready to text to set up a date with a woman ready to accept and just name a time, day, and place to meet. It was a waste of time and money for me unfortunately. The matches I were sent were nothing like the profile I gave, and then after sending the third guy my matchmaker just disappeared without saying goodbye. I thought there would be at least a program wrap-up email or call. Also by "matches" they mean people who are interested in you, not that you're both interested in each other. Unfortunately I spent $5K for one guy to ghost and not even meet me and 2 others who were completely wrong personality/profiles even though I had extensive convos (and even made a Pinterest mood board!) on what I was looking for. I felt like they were just trying to check the quota box/contract obligation vs find someone I might like. Oh well, lesson learned. The apps are hell but at least they are free and you know what you're getting into. I used the service end of 2023-spring of 2024 and found it so-so. They will completely oversell you on the phone-- the agreement is only the 3 matches and no extra, unless your matchmaker finds additional ones and despite whatever you're told on the phone. During my time with 3DR I spoke with Yvette, Maryann (my first matchmaker) and Marjan (my 2nd matchmaker, which was not my decision to switch but they're own internal restructuring); they all told me completely different things on what to expect in the process. I really liked Maryann and it was a bummer that I could no longer work with her, since it seemed that she was beginning to really understand me. It felt unfair that they suddenly changed my matchmaker and I had to start from scratch with explaining my preferences, as she didn't seem to have any handover notes. Marjan was really sweet but impersonal; I hate to say it but she felt fake-nice. I tried to give her as much information as possible, but it didn't feel like she knew me well enough. Her matches were all fine on paper but there wasn't anything particular about them that fit my personality. It seems like they really just try to match up the basics... and then a few of my "matches" in this process weren't even ready for dating! I met one of them (which was a terrible date), which counted so that was unfortunate, and he straight up said that he didn't have time to be dating right now. I'm sure men lack self-awareness and/or lie in their interviews with the matchmakers, but one would think the matchmakers have a better gauge on this and can properly vet this. I'm disappointed I didn't have a great personal experience like others' reviews. It started to get there with Maryann but then I was switched and it seemed like Marjan was ready to just get it over with, despite her "sweetness" on the calls. In my first call with her, she was really adamant that I was on my last match, which was 100% different than what Maryann had told me about the process (which was a minimum of 1 match/month) and all she kept saying was "my heart hurts for you" before agreeing to give me a "bonus" match and then the next day emailing me to say it was back to 1 more match. It finally took a phone call with another coordinator to clear this all up. Marjan ended up sending me a whole list of additional matches which I did appreciate the effort, but honestly, I could've found the same, if not better, "matches" through a dating app. The only positive of this experience was getting connected with Becca for the 2 coaching calls. She is so great and I've continued to book sessions with her on my own for staying grounded with my new relationship (NOT found via 3DR). Cannot recommend her enough. Going with 3DR seems really hit or miss. DO NOT believe what they tell you on the phone. It's really gross that they exploit your dating frustration/sadness/trauma to upsell you. You're likely better off just paying for all the filters on dating apps and saving thousands of dollars. read more

They took careful notes and had a clear sense of what I was looking for in a partner. My matchmaker had a very positive attitude and met the minimum contractual obligation of 3 matches in 3 months. NEGATIVE: 3DR did not have a pool of highly educated and highly successful professionals with which to match me. Further, none of the matches they provided me with lived in NYC, and two of them were more than an hour outside NYC. Although the match makers are super nice and professional this service only gives you one match a month for an insane absurd price of like 2k a month. You give them your preferences at the beginning and in my experience the guys they matched me with were SO very far from my preferences. I have not done business with Three Day Rule, and I would not ever. However, I have had interactions with one of their salespeople/matchmakers--and by "had interactions" I mean "was harassed by"--that were disturbing enough for me to leave a review. Three Day Rule's employee, Kristen (Krissy) Stewart sent an unsolicited message on the LinkedIn professional networking platform to "join her dating pool" with the company. I responded that LinkedIn was an inappropriate avenue for this type of message given its nature in dating and relationships; these have no place on that platform. I also reported the message to LinkedIn as inappropriate and blocked the account. Normally, this would be the end of it...normally. This employee of Three Day Rule then took it upon herself to look me up on the Instagram social media platform and send another unsolicited (and unwanted) message. It is mindboggling that a person would consciously choose to do this. These actions speak to the poor mindset of the people representing Three Day Rule. Given the additional research necessary to find my account on another platform, this is harassment and on the road to stalking. I hope to make others aware so they can avoid this type of uncomfortable interaction. I also hope Three Day Rule will take action to show there are consequences of this type of inappropriate behavior and proactively reassess how they evaluate the people they choose to represent them. **UPDATE** I'm quite concerned about Becky T.'s cavalier response regarding harassing behavior from one of Three Day Rule's employees in calling it "recruiting." This employee has continued to stalk my social media account from a different account of her's after I had blocked her. This speaks to a sick mindset of Becky T. individually and Three Day Rule as a company. The only reaching out I will ever do with this company is through legal counsel while obtaining a restraining order. read more

Maryann from Three Day Rule in San Diego sent me her link to sign up for the free database, and explained that I may be matched to some clients. Very simple. I was then interviewed a few times by matchmakers (an easy 30 minutes), given some good dating advice, and introduced to some local clients, all of them very nice and interesting and compatible. It is early stages yet but I'm really getting along with one of my dates, and I'm so glad we "cut to the chase" and avoided the apps, which neither of us wanted to brave. Highly recommend matchmaking as the way to bypass all the uncertainty from the apps. read more

The service from TDR was messy, inconsistent and disrespectful. The first red flag was the description on their site "These men aren't losers". The red flags just kept coming after I researched one of the male clients they recommended. TDR portrays these men to be business owners when what they actually have is an Amazon shop. TDR claims the men they are suggesting are stable and reliable when they actually engage in nude photography and do drugs at Burning Man. I could not believe how inaccurate TDR was with their portrayal of these men. I would NEVER pay for the experience I had with Three Day Rule. - TDR contacted me about two potential individuals after a long and in depth interview video call with a staff member. Neither of these men were in my city. When I stated distance as a concern, they still encouraged me to consider this man from Los Angeles (I was in the Bay Area). I agreed to meet him per the encouragement of the TDR team. - I was then told in a separate email that the staff "didn't know how to present me" to the male client. I found this offensive, cold and a waste of my time since I had already completed a profile, an hour long video chat interview call AND spoken with multiple staff members at TDR. Complete scam. I deleted my previous review in exchange for a second chance VIP reverse matching which is even more nonsense. I speculate that they have a very small database of paid members as compared to the "recruited" or non-paying members. I wouldn't be surprised if they actually compensate people for going out with paid members. (Based on the behavior of the dates I did have) Don't waste your time or money. Like I said in the previous review, even the owner met her husband on Tinder. That's probably the way to go. They do absolutely nothing for you - Nothing more than you can do for yourself. They have a dating coach who is useless. They even promise to pay for a photo shoot, which of course never happens. They string you along for the period of time you have paid for then in a time crunch, they grab whoever is available to set you up with just to meet their obligation, regardless of the criteria you've talked about. Again, don't waste your time or money. I'm adding today that they've sent me multiple emails, threatening legal action if I don't take this review down. This is an honest review and it's consistent with other reviews. I'm not going be intimidated by this company. again, stay away from this company. I will not be taking this review down . I had Lisa as a matchmaker and I am forever grateful for my experience with her. To be honest, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with TDR altogether. All I can say is, if this is something you're thinking about doing, just do it! But most importantly, lean fully in to the process. Advocate for yourself. Tell your matchmaker all the things you might find weird about your dream partner. Your dealbreakers. Your vulnerabilities. The more information you give your matchmaker, the better experience you're going to have, and the closer you will get to finding that match. But also, trust that the matches you're set up with were given to you because the matchmaker saw something in them for you! I certainly went on some bad dates in this process but I was able to learn something new about what I wanted that maybe otherwise wouldn't have come up. And with sharing that information with Lisa, we got closer and closer to finding some very great men. Lisa became a fast friend. I looked forward to hearing from her every week. Whether she found a match to run by me or not, she was in constant communication just informing me of her hunt or just an email to say hello. I kind of wish I had taken notes throughout this experience, because I also received invaluable advice in every interaction I had with her and I am a stronger and more confident woman just having those little pearls of wisdom. Also, to say this woman was looking out for her clients for a match everywhere, everywhere is quite literally an understatement! One of my matches was a cousin of a husband of an old friend of hers she had reconnected with at a high school reunion during our contract together! I basically paid $5000 to be set up with the guys I would have rejected on a dating app. My first matchmaker was not responsive or engaged. She set me up with a guy who not only was exactly what I told her I was not interested in dating (10+ years older and trying to break into the entertainment industry as a creative). He stood me up for our first date, and the matchmaker tried to make excuses for him and convince me that I should still give him a chance. When I complained to the customer service, they reassigned me to a new matchmaker and all they offered me was that since I was stood up, that match wouldn't be counted against my three matches. No discount nothing that would compensate for my wasted time and how the coach made it sound like *my* problem that I didn't want to go out with a man who couldn't even make it to a first date. The new matchmaker set me up with three guys, none of whom I had anything in common with. One was unemployed. Another was was in his 40s and still lived at home, as did both of his adult siblings. Not a cultural thing, before you ask. His parents also got him his job in politics. I had no choice but to go out with all three of these men, as even if you reject a match, it counts as one of your matches. Also, the first "dating coach" spent the session lecturing me on how the problem was my energy wasn't feminine enough, and I had to learn to be more sensual by wearing soft clothes and commenting on the tactile surroundings and swaying my hips more. I'm serious. She had a whole PowerPoint about masculine energy versus feminine energy. The service exists to take advantage of people looking for connection. They should refund everyone whose time they've wasted. read more

But I couldn't be happier with Maggie as my matchmaker. She took the time to understand me and my priorities. The matches she has setup have all been amazing/beautiful people. She takes the time to listen to your feedback and adapts the matches. She also provided me feedback from the matches on how I could better myself. I recently hired them for a 3 month contract I worked with Nada Rifai. I saw she had great reviews. Although she seemingly tried her best I was not pleased with 80% of the matches she brought. 2 of the 5people. I didn't get to go in a date with because they bailed which ik isn't her fault. She did get a total of 5 ppl and they only guarantee 3 , so she tried her best. But the attractiveness and quality of these men were very below subpar so it was a bit disappointing I have had more luck on dating apps honestly so I don't believe it was worth the money. I feel that men should only count as a match if the person paying(ie me) agrees because I honestly wouldn't have agreed to any of the men she brought me. I was open minded but idk what kind of men are in their database because the quality just wasn't there. But I appreciate the experience I put my self out there and I will continue to do so after this. I am a black woman by the way , I was open to different races too but didn't get any. Maybe their black database is just not great unfortunately. Just something to consider if you are considering this service, I am in the DMV area by the way which they said is a big database but based on the matches they sent me you are better off with Hinge or something. read more

This review is long overdue but I met with matchmaker Kat in DC as a match for one of her clients. Dating in DC can be really tough but I found her to be professional, easy to talk to, and full of really helpful dating advice. I appreciated having someone give me some pre date tips and also keep my expectations in check before the date. Good not to get your hopes up or be too nervous. The man I ended up meeting up with ended up being a realy decent guy, but most importantly he was exactly as advertised. Kat described him very well and qas quick to point out areas where we had common interes and shared values. That made conversation during the date less stilted and less awkawrd than so many other dates I've been on. Even though he and I ultimately only went ona. few dates, I enjoyed getting to know him and thought the matchmaking process felt extremely intentional and respectful. He contacted me when Kat said he would and his communication was consistent throughout. Sad that the bar is so low in this city but I appreciated the little things like that. I can't personally afford to become a client but if it's ever in the budget, I absolutely see why people use three day rule and would pay to work with Kat as my matchmaker in a heartbeat. read more

Although I did not find a partner through this experience I have to say that my matchmaker Rebecca Tassoni was the best. She was very attentive and a great listener. She very quickly was able to pick up on the type of guy I would be interested in and was screening out guys that maybe met my preferences in terms of stats but didn't have the right vibe. It was incredibly helpful to have her finding potential matches for me when life got busy and I was sidelined by work or other personal issues. I don't know about the rest of the company as far as how extensive their database is but as far as my experience with my matchmaker it was extremely positive. read more
