I was kind of surprised at some of the reviews about this winery. This is my fourth time coming here. My step mom is a member here so we would always come to visit as I live out of town. We came here last week with just my husband and I and the service was great! We loved it so much that we became members here. The charcuterie board was amazing. A little pricey but well worth it. It has a great view and it's very relaxing. They started serving beer as well which is a nice touch to an addition. They staff are very knowledgeable and very sweet. Can't wait to go back! read more

They obviously put a lot of money into the location, and if that matters to you then you may like this place, but for me it jus felt like an upscale chain with no soul. This was probably my most favorite winery out of the 8 we tried on our visit to Walla Walla. If I were to ever visit this small town again, I would come here for sure. The wine was OK... BUT the feel of the venue was simply amazing! The grounds were gorgeous (although it was too cold to wander around outside), a huge deck with a gorgeous view overlooking a golf course. The tasting room was camping cozy, but not overly done. They just weren't trying too hard. I REALLY enjoyed my time here. They also offered small plates, and we later found out that you can bring your own picnic here- so perfect for summer! I just loved it. The only small thing that was not super terrible but did get a bit old after awhile was the woman serving us. She was super chatty and helpful with recommendations for other wineries and restaurants, but after awhile became a bit pushy about us going to one specific place for dinner (not sure if she works there or has ties to it... but man she REALLY wanted us to go there). My husband doesn't mind small talk with strangers, but after awhile I could tell he wanted her to leave us alone. Personally, I don't mind, but I also understand there is a fine line between customer service and chatty Cathy... either way the service was great and so was our experience. The wines are especially good. We had a riesling that had just the right amount of residual sugars and was not too dry. This is what I call a destination winery. Good but not especially elite wines. Very nice tasting room/estate. Patio where you can spread your picnic lunch to enjoy a Three Rivers wine with (they will even give you glasses to use). There is also a small 3 hole pitch and putt golf course on site. All in all, a VERY enjoyable place to laze away a sunny afternoon. read more

Awesome service and equally as important, likely the best winery in Walla Walla to bring your pups! Gorgeous view of the valley and grass hills for days for your pup to go frolicking about. This is a very pretty stone building that is conveniently located right off the highway outside of Walla Walla. There is a night deck overlooking the free 3 hole golf course (they provide the clubs). Courtney was our pourer and she poured us both the reserve list (about 8-9 wines), even though I just ordered the regular. We bought a couple bottles and perused the boutique-like gift shop. During my time in Washington I made several trips to Walla Walla for the wineries. Three Rivers was by far the most memorable. My girlfriend at the time and I would buy a bottle, help ourselves to the cheese and sausage tray, and sit on the back deck. Enjoy three holes of golf afterwards. It's free. Good memories from this place, and the staff was always great. Even when my girlfriend turned her golf club into a shovel on the first hole of golf. The tasting room is cluttered with gift items, though. Really, they could do without the sweatshirts and meat rub they're selling. Now that I'm in Alabama, I can still find Three Rivers wine at a local shop. Nothing goes better with memories than tannins and headaches. read more

Hospitality and Courtesy - NOT! Stopped in to the tasting room with my wife and was totally ignored. Person working there was on the phone in his office when we arrived. No one else was working the tasting room. After several minutes he came out of the office but did not acknowledge our presence and proceeded to make a phone call from behind the tasting room bar. At that point we left. His rudeness and lack of professionalism was a real turn off especially being our first visit to the Walla Walla Wine area. Luckily we visited other wineries where we were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable Tasting Room staff. We will never return to Three Rivers Winery or purchase their wine. read more

As a local I can visit any Winery in Walla Walla I want, when I want, but the one I visit the most is 3 Rivers Winery. Did you know that is where Geoff Tates Insania wine is produced?. Winemakers Holly and Andy produce great wines, ones you can grab right out of the fridge in the tasting room and drink on the patio deck overlooking a 3 hole golf course, (while enjoying the panoramic view of the Blue Mountains). Think of this, as you look south from the deck you are actually yards away from the Oregon Trail that Marcus Whitman used. you could of seen and heard the wagon trains as they passed towards the whitman mission. Plenty of wildlife emerges due to the fact it is right along Mill Creek, the same one Lewis and Clark spent many a time hunting and trapping. This Winery is easy to find, it is set back from the highway , you drive through the vineyard to get to it, plenty of parking, spacious gift shop and tasting room. they offer a great place to have weddings including a private bridal room. The restroom facilities are very clean and sanitary too. Three Rivers is on the edge of town. And, because the tasting room is right on the highway, it doesn't exactly feel like wine country. The facility is large compared to many local tasting rooms, but has all the charm of a touristy gift shop because, well, that's what it is. Our group of 8 showed up and ready to buy wine. Not only did they make us wait 20 minutes before we order, but then they told us we can't buy any wine. No one in our group drank to much, but we were told we drank to much, just because our group talks loud. We finally got to drink some wine, and it tasted like piss. The location on Yelp is wrong. Old highway 12 runs parallel and south of highway 22...the winery is west of town, not downtown Walla Walla.

Just came back from Walla Walla for Memorial Weekend. This was the second winery our group visited. We got some vouchers from the winery before here - so we got a great deal. We sat out on the patio as our good friends brought their Golden Doodle puppy with us. The patio was honestly really nice and relaxing. There were 3 staff members and we had 2 who took turns pouring for us as we would have to go back inside for our next pour. Honestly not a big deal for us. One of the staff members was really fun and knowledgeable about the wine. She made our experience really wonderful!! The other staff member, I assume, must be new because she would only pour without saying much, let along even tell us what we were drinking. We would have to ask her questions to learn more about the wine and it made the experience underwhelming. I think if the staff were all trained - the entire place could be an easy 5 stars. Wines are hit or miss, thus making me give it 3 stars - we purchased 1 bottle. read more

Excellent gift shop - the largest of any local winery. Quite nice "reserve" quality red wines. Worth the $10 tasting fee (which is refunded with a purchase) to sample the 5 different reds from the winery's reserve list. Expansive patio for small or large groups with a beautiful view of the foothills of the blue mountains and the on site golf course. In addition to over ten different red wines, the winery makes 5-6 white wines which are available in the summer months for sampling. Great venue for weddings, corporate events, and private smaller events like birthday parties, retirement celebration, group tours, etc. Wines vary widely in price from $14.00/bottle to $60.00/bottle with the average priced red wine falling in the $29-$39 range (reasonable to moderate for the area). read more
