A fried told me about this place as I was gearing up to conquer Stairway to Heaven. When I got…read morehere, I found a small park with a short trail leading to the stairs. The stairs are well maintained, cross back and forth with a few landings to rest or let people pass. At the base of the stairs, it turns into its former self, old broken down cement/wood steps that reach the beach. There's a sign warning you, so it's quite obvious. There's also a bench in the middle of the staircase for those who get winded easily. I recall there's a little over 100 stairs. It's quite easy for beginners, children and pets. The park faces the west and has a peak-a-boo view of the sunset at one of the landings. When you're done, walk up the trail and look for a clear area and benches. If you are lucky, you may see the eagles soaring above the trees next to their nests. Parking: very few spots, like 4 or 5, so get prepared to park out in the residential area and walk a little.

The first 10 minutes or so of the hike is dirt trail. Then you get to the stairs, walk down and you'll find that there's not much at the bottom. Just a small beach covered in broken logs and plants that jut out towards the water. There is a small clearing beyond the stairs which offers somewhat of a view looking out at the sound. then when you look behind, towards the hill, you'll notice some idiot who posted a wooden sign that says "private property" seriously!? there's nothing private about it, not to mention there's nothing there. people can be so greedy sometimes... Anyways, this is a cool spot to come to if you want to do some laps up and down the stairs. Though it's not much of a date spot if you want to bring your significant other. Try some other parks in that case.

Multiple paths through the trees and a nice path along the water. Multiple playgrounds and both covered and uncovered table areas, some of which can be reserved for events. The park offers complimentary parking lots, plenty of picnic areas for both large and small groups, a playground, covered shelters, outdoor restrooms, and it's very dog- and bicycle-friendly. One of the best parts is simply relaxing along the waterfront path and watching the steady stream of Washington State Ferries traveling back and forth across the Sound. During the summer months, the park even features an outdoor swimming pool. Our main reason for visiting was to see Bruun Idun created by Danish artist Thomas Dambo, and it did not disappoint. While walking the Puget Sound trail to find the troll, we also spotted a bald eagle perched in its nest--very cool! After snapping photos, we were treated to a beautiful sunset over the water. With nature, art, and incredible views all in one place, Lincoln Park is absolutely worth a visit.

We choose coming here because we wanted to visit a place that we thought wouldn't be too crowded and we can still maintain social distancing. We were right. I went for my first yesterday. Stayed almost an hour. The rest of our time was just exploring. Sitting at the dock was by far the best time of my day. I was glad to see that the whole park itself wasn't covered in too much litter. If you're in the area and need time to kill, this is a deffinite go-to-spot. So glad there's a place to indulge in nature theraphy in Seattle. I came across this park ramdomly walking thru the hood. Its not a very big park by any means. It's nice little spot to have "me time" I guess you could say, haha. It's beautiful, quite and serene. Pritchard Island Beach is located in the Rainier Beach area, north of Beer Sheva Park. Several large cottonwoods flutter in the breeze as swimmers head for the raft, where they spring into the air from high and low diving boards. Others just sit on the beach admiring the view of Seward Park to the north and Mercer Island to the east. You'll find this a fine, quiet complement to the Atlantic City beach to the south, since there is no boat ramp ruckus here. Bathhouse is a great spot for your community gathering, family reunion, wedding or other event.
