We came here as a party of 8 and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The food was simply not good. The ramen was cold, watery, and missing the egg that was listed on the menu -- honestly the worst ramen I've ever had. The salmon was undercooked and raw in the center, and the papaya salad was flavorless. The only thing remotely enjoyable were the fries, but even those were served cold along with everything else. When we brought this up, the staff admitted it was "too much for their cook to handle," which was surprising and unprofessional. In the end, our group was refunded, but we left hungry and frustrated. The only positive was that we did get our money back, but overall this was a very poor dining experience. Beware before booking here. read more

My husband and I went in here since we have heard great reviews from this place. It was actually between this place and Paia Fish Market and I wish we went with the other place instead. We went in and told the host we were ok with sitting inside after requesting to eat outside which would've been a longer wait. We were sat and the host was super nice. We were greeted after about 5 mins of being seated. We were greeted with waters and I ordered a mai tai while we looked over the menu. The Mai tai was really good and tasty. Then our server came back after about another 5 mins. We asked questions about the menu and got some recs from the server. We ordered the pork belly as an app. My husband ordered the chicken katsu sandwich and I ordered the spicy tuna roll and hamapeño roll again, rec from the server. The pork belly and katsu sandwich came out after about 10 mins of ordering. One thing about my husband is that he will always wait for my food to come so that we can eat together at the same time. My husband had eaten all his fries while waiting for my food to come. My sushi took exactly 45 mins to come. Not ONE person came to our table to check up on us until my HUSBAND went and asked our server on an ETA for my sushi. She said "should be coming out any minute" without even checking with the kitchen or anything. This would've been a perfect time to pick up the dirty plates from our table from the apps we ate or to refill our waters but nothing. 10 mins later, I happen to lock eyes with the manger which makes him come over and ask us how we're doing. We tell him that we're waiting on the sushi and have been for some time and he mentioned that the sushi cook was making sushi for both sides of the restaurant. Mind you, it's 2:45 on a Thursday and it's not busy. Steady, but not slammed. He gave us a plate of fries and half price sushi on each roll to compensate. He did apologize for the wait. My sushi came out about 45 mins later and what was most upsetting, the sushi was so incredibly mid. It was not worth the wait at all. I felt bad for sending it back or ordering something else because I was so hungry so I just ate what I could. I mainly got full off of the fries. Food wise, the best things here were the Mai tai and fries. The other food we had ordered was all mid. Nothing show stopping. Overall I'd say this place is overrated. We went out for lunch at threes. It has been a while since my dining at this place. I was greeted with a very nice professional manager Chris at front desk. We were seated in a booth as per my request. I was waiting for my other 3 guest and Toby our waitress was pleasant professional and very friendly. She explained to us there is Pueblo card as well as Kamaaina discounts for good as well as cocktails. We ordered Cesar salad with grilled chicken avocado and cucumber as an entree which was perfectly healthy entree. In addition he a side dish of chips which came in later and was over cooked brown in color without salsa as per our request. My other friend order panko crusted fish and chips which was overcooked dry and taste like it came from frozen fish! Manager was kind enough to not charge for the fish. The ginger curry fish over rice was excellent fresh and savory however it would have nice to have a larger piece of fish. To fader I've was little off in that they weren't able coordinate our orders in such a way that the Cesar salad entree and two ginger curry fish came together and one of our friends had to waited @ 5 minutes for her panko breaded fish and chips! The ambiance was typical of a bar restaurant which serves alcohol , sushi and entrees for lunch / dinner. This was my husband and my first time staying in Wailea/Kihei area. We walked around Kihei town and stumbled on Three's. A bar and grill was not necessarily the type of food that we were looking for but we made a reservation and we're seated within 20 minutes. Service was absolutely wonderful. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful. My husband ordered the Aji and I had the beer canned chicken. Both were fabulous! I have to say the beer can chicken was a huge portion and we brought home 3/4 of it but that's OK! I ordered the mango margarita that is on the menu and it was so good! The outdoor seating was very pleasant. My husband had accidentally dropped his keys when we were leaving and when we came back to look for them, our waiter zipped up to us and told us he had brought them to the hostess station! All of the food we got here was great but I would especially recommend the kalua pork tacos and the fresh catch of the day. They were both seriously delicious, and the ginger marinade on the fresh catch was amazing! The mocktails were also delicious, and I would highly recommend it! I wanted to like this place despite the DDD visit. (Donkey Sauce!). But first off seated in the middle of the bar area. I can feel all the heavy footfalls of the staff very annoying. I am currently waiting for my waiter to come back so I can pay. He apparently is a bar back now and took his mustache and headband to ignore me behind the bar. The ribeye was overcooked. The mushroom sauce served with it was too salty. The potatoes were pretty good. But the steak was very chewy. Not great. Too much sauce. The Panko ahi roll was pretty good. I liked the sauce with that but it did detract from the sushi. But it was pleasantly crunchy. The most regular salad was yummy. The kaluha pork quesadilla was yummy. Ok I'm going to ask someone to help me get the heck out of here. I just want to pay and leave. So this place, to me, is regrettable and a one timer for me. Too pricy. Bad service. The restaurant has a very nice ambience. We ordered the papaya salad and it was perfect, just the right amount of heat. We ordered the teriyaki chicken and I was disappointed. The chicken breast was very small, it was not the normal size of a regular chicken breast. It appeared to be filleted and was extremely thin which caused it to be dry. We basically were given half of a chicken breast. The purple sweet potatoes were very good. The sauce on the plate was not tasty. I could not figure out the flavor, it definitely did not taste like teriyaki. It had an odd flavor and for that reason I would not select that dish in the future. It was a busy lunch hour and I was a little surprised to see only one server. I felt bad because you could tell that it wasn't their fault that things were slow or forgotten. We ended up starting with their shot of the day for the table, it was a fun way to start off our day since we were on vacation. We ordered nachos to start, they were good and a decent size. We also ordered the fried- a little to spicy for me but the rest of the group loved them. I ordered the quesadilla and the garlic noodles- both were good (if you haven't heard the history on the noodles you should ask while there!) I would recommend both. We wanted to order dessert but our bill was dropped off. I was a little surprised they didn't ask if we wanted anything else, it felt like it was time for us to go. In town on a work trip and went for happy hour. I had been before, but probably 5 years ago. My colleague and I really liked the food. They had a special cinco de mayo menu. We got the portobello mushroom, chorizo taco plate (cinco de mayo menu item) and fish tacos. The food was delicious! I asked for the kimchee slaw (on the fish taco) to be on the side. That was a good choice for me, because it was spicy. The papaya slaw was yummy. Portions are probably to be expected for happy hour, but on the smaller side. He then took us to the patio with no sun. Yeah! My friend and I enjoyed a pleasant Maui late afternoon on Three's shady side patio. We ordered 3 happy hour dishes and ice tea. Pedro A. was a friendly, attentive server. He returned several time to check if we needed anything more and also refilled our tea and ice. Absolutely incredible from start to finish. After a long road to Hana drive we were starving and wanting something delicious Threes bar and grill absolutely stepped up to the plate and delivered! The rotating oyster shooter was so fresh. My son ordered the Pork belly sandwich and it was tender and flavorful and the fries were crispy and well seasoned. I ordered the Hamapeño roll and finished the whole roll myself. I couldn't get enough and ordered the chocolate tart with raspberry and it was the perfect blend of sweet with tartness. Would go great with coffee or glass of red wine. Our server was very attentive our water glasses were never empty and we were checked on multiple times during our meal. Finding your way to Three's Bar & Grill is definitely tight when you're dealing with an already packed parking lot. Luckily no matter what time you come. As for my first time stepping foot inside Three's Bar & Grill. I thought the vibe was super cute & laidback. Which for first impressions I was actually surprised as to how fast we were seated. From the moment we arrived to waiting only a few seconds before we were greeted at the hostess stand. We were also given the option to sit inside or outside. This time I chose inside just so I could hide from the sun. Since I fry faster then anyone I know. We also made it just in time for happy hour & ordered: 2 coconut crusted fish tacos, whole wheat flatbread salad, hurricane fries, coconut crusted shrimp, garlic fried noodles, crispy pork belly, bacon brussels sprouts & 3 top shelf mai tais. I didn't try everything that we ordered but I can say the Hurricane Fries were delicious. I enjoyed the hint of spice from the sauce. Plus I loved the crunchy texture from the mochi. Definitely a fun starter & something I'd always be down to order. I was also surprised on how big the Whole Wheat Flatbread Salad was. The size was big enough for me to split into 3 separate snacks. Also the hummus & flatbread was my favorite part. The salad on top was just an added bonus. The best part of the Garlic Fried Noodles were the ones on the bottom of the plate smothered in that spicy sesame sauce. However I think I might want to try mixing the noodles with the brussels next time. Cause bacon fried brussels are always good & I'm guessing it will enhance anything I add them to. I have to be honest though I was never a big Mai Tai fan. But it's been awhile so I figured I'd give Three's top shelf version a try. I did stir my drink to get a better blend. Such a fun spot with something for everyone! We sat during happy hour and loved everything we tried, the garlic noodles were super flavorful, the mushroom app was delicious, and the sushi rolls were fresh and well-made. The quesadilla was a solid choice too! They have a great mix of indoor and outdoor seating, tables, booths, and spots at the bar, so you can pick your vibe.
