This place is the best meal i have had on island. 2 of us had the lunch rib plate. Ribs were served with slaw and a ceasar salad. I did not care for croutons that day. We actually were 30 mins late but we were still seated inside which we didn't mind. The service we had was awesome. We ordered a fish taco appetizer and a couple of drinks a martini and dragonberry mojito. Drinks rocked. My wife had a salad and I had a fish sandwich with fries. The salad had candied macadamia nuts, avocado, fruit, and tomatoes. We had the lava cake for dessert with vanilla ice cream. This dessert takes 20 mins to prepare! We really liked the dessert! Take this with a grain of salt. This may have been an isolated experience given so many good reviews... Our six-top was seated at 630p on the Monday after New Year's and the joint was lively. Things are looking good. Right out of the gate, we only have three menus for the six of us and our server lets us know they're out of two items; the wings and the Kalua pork, which is featured on several menu options (remember these two items for later in the review). No problem...I understand supply chain issues right now and they're coming off a holiday weekend. We order drinks and some appetizers. I'm not exaggerating when I say two of the appetizers we ordered arrived within one minute; the Hurricane Fries and the Panko Crusted Ahi Roll. Red flag in my mind, but maybe they were meant for another table, or they were a duplicate order so we benefited from a quick turnaround. Then came time to order our mains and the item I ordered and the item my sister ordered, they were out of...neither were the Kalua Pork or the wings. Then I ordered a cocktail before my main arrived and I didn't receive it until I'd almost completed my meal - like I said before, they were busy so all good, but others at my table received drinks much sooner and ordering at similar times - he even came by at one point and said my drink was coming - maybe he forgot to send the order cause he looked like he just remembered. The food, across the board, was just fine. We ordered a few apps and several mains including sushi. The sushi fell flat to me and, in hindsight, felt out of place on the menu. The fries were basic frozen variety, and the burger was nothing special. Our server seemed put out throughout the service and we had to ask for silverware, appetizer plates, and condiments. When asked to split the bill 25% / 75% between two cards his response was, "I totally can't do that". It felt frustrating to hear that. I'm not sure if he meant he couldn't do that because he wasn't allowed to, or his POS system wouldn't allow a split like that, or he didn't want to do the math, which, in hindsight, we should have just told him the amounts to put on each card. Either way, it felt short and overly obstinate. (FYI - he was able to split it 50 / 50 so go figure). All in all, this was a really disappointing experience and will seek out other options in the future, but again; grain of salt. read more

After watching a couple of YT videos on recommended places to eat + the DDD feature, we were excited to try it. We stayed at a nearby AirBnB, so we can see that it was usually packed. We decided to save this place for the last night of our trip, which turned out to be worst part of an otherwise impressive food adventure we had. We booked reservations through Open Table. There weren't any slots open before 830PM, so we were pretty hungry by the time the food came - this usually means a low threshold or higher tolerance to mediocre food. Service was pretty good - we were seated immediately and our server was nice and attentive to our needs (the reason for the 2-star review). Everything else from there was disappointing. We ordered the Ramen, Rainbow Roll, assorted sashimi and raw oysters on a half shell. I'll keep this simple: Ramen - Should NOT be called ramen at all. Noodles were undercooked, broth was underwhelming, and it had KALE. Yes, kale on "Ramen". The deep fried pork belly was way too oily and the soft boiled egg wasn't soft boiled at all. Rainbow Roll - I've had sushi better at a gas station. Oysters & Sashimi - didn't taste fresh at all Don't fall for this tourist trap. read more

If this was Reddit I feel like I would get downvoted for this, but I just wasn't into their ramen. I think there were a ton of bold and salty flavors from their shoyu broth, mushrooms, and pork that it felt overwhelming to eat it. The cook on the ramen and the individual components were great, but the flavor wasn't for me. My boyfriend ordered the Vietnamese pork belly sandwich and while it was flavorful, the entire bottom bun was soggy from the pickled vegetables. (You could literally squeeze the bun like a sponge) We did really like the Kalua pork quesadilla no doubt. The pork was very tender, crispy tortilla, and we liked the different sauces that accompanied it. Our server was nice and came to check on us often. I love this place! Super yummy and definitely go to Happy Hour! My boyfriend and I used to come during regular hours for their ramen which is delicious but definitely a little over priced (at around 20$ for one bowl). The quesadilla was delicious, but we should've ordered a half order as that was enough for 4 people! The salad was good, but I'd suggest skipping that as it's one of the pricier HH items and I don't think a little salad on a thin piece of flatbread with hummus is worth it! Sushi rolls were delicious and so so worth the price! Highly recommend any of them! A nice place for a sit down dinner in the Kihei neighborhood for a taste of a selection of fusion eats. We ordered the Three's Tradition Ramen and the Specialty Fish Preparation (blacked monchong with sticky rice and papaya salsa). Both dishes were presented nicely and decent in taste, but there are definitely room for improvment. The ramen had two plump pieces of pork belly that was delish but the broth was a little simple with a very strong soy base - it would be nice if the broth was more rich and thick like traditional Japanese ramen with more dashi and pork. The fish dish was cooked nicely. I highly recommend booking this restaurant in advance as it does get really busy. We had to wait a little even with reservations made. A great Asian fusion spot in Maui, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here the other night. Even outside of HH times, Three's was bustling during dinner service. Our walk-in took just about 30 minutes on a weeknight, so plan accordingly if you want to get in sooner and/or with a larger party. Our Godzilla roll was nicely done and served as a great appetizer to the mains. The fish & chips was a nice change of pace in that the batter had a soft chew to it and matched well to the pieces of well-seasoned mahi mahi. Quite the contrast from the usual larger pieces of unseasoned cod. My bowl of their traditional ramen was quite good and loaded with earthy flavors from the collection of shiitake mushrooms. Each slurp shroom-infused shoyu broth was great and I especially dug the perfectly braised pieces of pork belly. I will say that the Tokyo-style noodles were slightly overdone for my taste, same with the egg. If you're outside of HH, definitely take advantage of the check-in offer that knocks 20% off your bill (minus alcohol). read more

The live music was soothing and pop-jazzy, a mix of Mayer and similar, Sara Bareilles, and perhaps Melody Gardot. The pricing was about par for Maui. We spent $150 for two adults, two teens, one dessert, three glasses of pinot grigio and one call drink, including a 20%tip. Not a daily thing, a treat for sure, and the atmosphere and staff were so pleasant, we probably spent more than we would have otherwise. There was NOTHING wrong. Gotta say this is was a welcome place to dine for Thanksgiving. Most places were serving until 8, but Three's was open till 10! Yay! While we weren't with the rest of our family, the wait staff made us feel like a part of theirs. Gotta give stars for super nice staff working on the holiday! The restaurant is divided into 3 areas, bar, dining, and outdoor dining. We sat outside and there was live music. The outdoor dining is next to the parking lot, not exactly sexy, but they dress it up with lights and there are lots of trees overhead. Fortunately the parking lot is small and not too busy. Service was attentive but a little long at times. Which was ok for us since we were on vacation. It seemed like they spread out the servers, so that can explain why they took a while to get to our table. The food was great. I opted to get the prime rib plate instead of the Thanksgiving plate. I have to say the Thanksgiving plate looked yummy, but mine was really good. I surprisingly did not finish it! (Which if you know me, is rare). I got the ice cream sandwich for dessert. And I must say, the cookies are delish! They make their own cookies. I would return just for the cookies. Mmm my mouth is watering just thinking of it. But I want to try more of their dishes. That pork belly. The whole bowl was perfection. C'est magnifique! And my drink d'lime in d'coconut was absolutely delicious and refreshing. I have wanted to come here for years but never seemed to make it. After reading such great reviews we finally went for happy hour, disappointing. The prices were good but the food really lacked anything special. The Panko Crusted Ahi Roll sounded wonderful, but it seemed too fried, not a light drop in the oil to golden the tempura. The wings were raw in the center, I had to send them back. The Kalua pork quesadilla was too salty and not much flavor beyond that. The saving grace were the raw oysters, they were delicious but no preparation involved aside from shucking. The service was fine, nothing exceptional. AMAZING We walked in and Lisa greeted us, she went over the menu and shared all of her favorites. Lisa was very warm and welcoming, she let us know Kim would be our server today. This restaurant is awesome! We had a large party and made reservations. When we showed up, we were seated without much wait time. I recommend reservations for large groups. For appetizers we had the coconut shrimp, the kalua pork quesadillas, lettuce wraps, tuna sushi, and a dozen of the Kumamoto oysters. The coconut shrimp was good, not greasy and was your basic normal coconut shrimp dressed up a bit. The kulua pork quesadilla were tasty with plenty of kalua pork inside. The lettuce wraps pretty basic and were really good too. The Kumamoto oysters were soooo good. Really fresh and tasty. Super buttery in taste. Could have eaten a dozen more. The sushi was surprisingly good, especially coming from a restaurant that is not a dedicated sushi spot. For dinner I had the Threes traditional ramen and my wife had the butter fish. Wife said the fish was a bit dry and overcooked. The ramen really good. The broth was on hit and the noodles were homemade from a local supplier. The kids had burgers and quesadillas and the portions were good sizes for kids meals. They have a nice bar with a nice selection of beers and drinks. Prices were a bit high, but since it's in Maui with all the tourist activity, it's expected. Overall I think the meal was really good and we had an awesome time there.
