    Garlic Noodles with Chicken
    Marianna M.

We visited this restaurant almost everyday while staying at the AC Marriott Hotel! We truly liked everything we ate here! Shoutout to our bartender Chewy who served us poolside every night during our stay! He was so friendly and helpful! Our favourites were the garlic noodles with chicken and the Katsu Chicken Sandwich!!! I did find it a bit pricy but that's Hawaii :p!

Good food. Better service. We arrived at the hotel close to 6pm and after a long day of traveling, we were exhausted and decided to eat at the hotel instead of venturing out. We ordered the hamburger steak which was serviced with rice and gravy and the furikake fries and chicken wings. Everything was decent but nothing to rave about. The fries could have been fried a bit harder. The prices are also quite high for fairly small portions. There are other causal restaurants nearby that will provide better tasting food for better prices.

We met visiting friends here for some cocktails and sunset prior to dinner at nearby Matteo's. ATMOSPHERE: Kai Bar is located at the new AC Hotel by Marriott Maui Wailea and serves as the hotel's poolside bar and casual eatery. A pavilion-like bar gives way to a small lanai with a mix of seating-styles that seamlessly connects to the small pool and sports a beautiful view of the Pacific below. MENU: Bar-style apps, salads, local-fare and full bar. BEVERAGE: The cocktail list was small, sad and didn't list one vodka-based drink, but they were able to make a mule for me. Of course it came in a plastic cup versus a copper one as we were poolside. Definitely not the best recipe out there as it lacked fizziness and the ginger beer aromatics that makes for a good mule. Portion size was below average. SERVICE: Local gal was very friendly, professional and attentive. She even came over to us on her own will to offer her photography skills after she saw us taking selfies. Thank you! I wish I got her name but I didn't pay the bill, LOL. OVERALL: Killer views, good service, mediocre cocktail selections and mixology.

Love how quick and easy it is to do the mobile ordering and you pick it up from the Front Desk or at the Pool or you can have it delivered to your room. My favorite thing on the menu is the stir-fried noodles (I added tofu). It was delicious! It was ready super fast too and the Front Desk lets you know when it's ready so you don't have to wonder. They also have a nice happy hour at the pool bar. Highly recommend!

Amazing customer service and hospitality!! The pork nachos were soo good !! Highly recommend sitting by the fire Pitt

BBQ chicken wings for a happy hour appetizer...we asked to double the wings to replace ribs.

First time staying at this beautiful hotel and decided to check out their outdoor bar. Luckily it was still happy hour. Our bartender Ui was absolutely friendly, delightful and lovely!!! We ordered the chicken wings and two drinks. It was the best chicken wings we've ever had here in Maui!!! The margarita was also fantastic. It's a very relaxing and peaceful vibe--not crazy busy like most touristy resort bars. The views are fantastic-both ocean and mountain views. We're only here for two days before we head over to Kaanapali, but wishing we were here longer. This Marriott owned hotel and tiki bar are amazing. The detailed design of everything is absolutely gorgeous. We will return in the future!

The staff was extremely friendly, our food and drinks came out quickly, and always with a smile. Everything we tried was high‑quality and clearly made with care. Their happy hour menu is surprisingly robust. Drinks The Tropical Mai Tai was a standout. The flavor really popped without being overly strong, just a genuinely great drink. The Rum Cannonball was delicious as well, with a bright pineapple flavor that's perfect for a hot day on the patio. They do have a nice selection of local beers on tap. Food The Kalua Pork Sliders were the highlight. The pork paired beautifully with the curry slaw, so many layers of flavor, and the toasted roll was a perfect finishing touch. The Mini Poke Bowl was fresh and vibrant. Adding avocado really elevated it, and the sesame brought a nice depth of flavor. The Onion Dip was a fun surprise. Loved hearing the story behind it, they once over‑ordered onions and created this dip, which has since become a best seller. It's easy to see why. Finally, the Ahi Slider was excellent. The ahi was high‑quality and seared perfectly, and again, the toasted bun made a big difference. The sesame oil added a great finishing note. If you're in Wailea, this place is absolutely worth a stop!

This was a wonderful place at the Wailea resort, where the scenery and setting are so relaxing... time stood still. We had colorful drinks which were highly recommended that I do not remember and I did not capture pics. We ate several items off the menu, did not capture all of them, the stand outs for me were the tacos and the salmon. We were surprised with a lovely glass of champagne by our lovely server. The server was phenomenal and attentive... never ever have I seen my water glass being refilled as much as I did here and I am a water drinker and loved it!!! The vibe - loving... those little cute lovebirds are quite chatty and noisy until it was time for them to sleep. Apparently, if you get pooped on by the love birds, its considered good luck... guess how lucky I was lol - complementary club soda and a napkin to wipe bird poo off lol. Our time here was so romantic and what I really appreciated the most is we were not rushed at all, we ate our meal at a very slow pace which is what we like to do. It was lovely.... and at that magical time of day dusk, turning into a majestic sunset and a beautiful memory..x Mahalo Nui Maui. Precious memories ....

I have stayed in a ocean view suite and standard king rooms. They either have balconies or patios that lead out to the pool area. I prefer the balconies but it's personal preference. One thing to note, to access the pools, there are a significant amount of steps. You can take an elevator to the Bumbeye beach bar (level 2) but you will have to walk up and down to get to the lowest level pool and to the beach. If you have mobility issues, please be aware that this is the only way to access the beach. There are golf carts that the hotel has that can reach this area but double check if this is something they can do for you. From start to finish, our entire experience was absolutely wonderful. The hotel staff were all extremely kind and engaging, offering helpful tips and suggestions. We had nothing but positive interactions with the valet and the front desk. The staff that work at the on-site restaurants were also lovely. Our ocean view room was clean and spacious. It had all of the amenities we could hope for and the shower had wonderful water pressure. My only request would be that there was a shelf in the shower to put the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, as we ended up having to put them on the floor and bending over in the shower while pregnant is not an easy task. The linens were soft and I appreciated the opportunity to earn food and beverage credit or Hilton reward points if we opted out of having our room cleaned each day. The blackout curtains in the room were also wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunset from our balcony each evening and listening to the live music that was performed each night down by the pool. There was ample pool space with plenty of pool chairs, both in the sun and in the shade. Access to the beach was extremely easy. While we were there, we also took part in morning yoga, access to the complementary aquatic activities, a sound bath under the full moon, and the infamous luau. I also booked a prenatal massage at the spa, which was absolutely divine. Access to the Courtesy Car to drop us off at nearby restaurants for reservations was extremely convenient. We appreciated the complementary reusable water bottles and the local snacks and beverages that were restocked in our mini bar. All in all, it was an absolute incredible stay and the next time we find ourselves in Maui, we will absolutely be returning to the Andaz.

However, the owner took the time to respond and explain that the entire shopping center wing was experiencing cooling issues and that the restaurant was dealing with significant staffing shortages at the time. While that doesn't completely change the experience we had, I appreciate that the owner acknowledged the challenges and responded professionally rather than dismissing the feedback. One observation I would offer is that, as a customer, it was difficult to tell who was serving tables. I noticed several employees in Pint & Cork shirts moving around the restaurant, but only saw a couple of servers actively covering the dining area. It's possible some staff were assigned to bartending or other responsibilities, but from the guest perspective it gave the impression that table service was understaffed while other employees appeared unavailable. I still think there is room for improvement in the flow and logistics on the floor, but I appreciate the owner's willingness to engage with feedback and explain the circumstances. That being said, I would be willing to give the restaurant another chance. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATED REVIEW AFTER OWNER'S RESPONSE: 6.21.26 I appreciate the response. It's telling that you addressed the air conditioning, disputed the gender of an employee, and questioned whether I was even there, yet didn't meaningfully respond to the concerns about service, timing, attentiveness, or food quality. If a customer leaves with a poor experience, the question isn't whether they perfectly recalled every detail. The question is why they left with that impression in the first place. I suspect future readers can draw their own conclusions from both the review and the response. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Probably the most disappointing dining experience of our Hawaii trip. We specifically asked to sit indoors because we wanted a break from the Maui heat after spending the day outside. Unfortunately, we quickly realized there was no air conditioning, making the indoor seating barely any cooler than outside. The restaurant also felt severely understaffed. It took around 10 minutes just to get a Diet Coke, and every time I asked for assistance, the woman working at the register seemed to defer the request rather than help or find someone who could. Meanwhile, some employees appeared more interested in chatting than helping customers, while only one or two staff members seemed to be working the floor. I understand restaurants get busy, especially in a tourist area, but the issue wasn't just the wait--it was the feeling that customer service wasn't a priority. As for the food, it was nothing special. I ordered a steak that had a nice smoky flavor, but it arrived well done and overcooked. The rest of the meal was average at best and definitely not memorable enough to make up for the service issues. Between the lack of air conditioning, slow service, inattentive staff, and mediocre food, this was one of the few places in Hawaii where I genuinely regretted spending my money. Considering the location at The Shops at Wailea and the prices being charged, I expected a much higher level of hospitality and execution. There are far too many great dining options in Wailea to come back here.
