Came here between breakfast and lunch time (10:45am) to grab food. Was really lucky that I was able to order both breakfast and lunch! (I had planned on ordering the lilikoi stuffed French toast, but was also craving something more as well). Server was super friendly, interior pretty nice. Ended up ordering Tropical French Toast (the one with Lilikoi stuffed inside) and their signature Three's Ramen. I wouldn't say I was blown away by the food but both dishes were pretty solid! The Tropical French Toast was definitely different and I don't regret trying it out. And, since I'm usually not a ramen person I didn't love love the ramen, but it really did taste very good. Kim, our server made some recommendations and was extremely helpful and pleasant. Husband had spicy chicken katsu sandwich. Very large and looked incredible. He loved it. I'm not really sure how this meal went so wrong. We waited an hour to be seated and once there, we were treated with disdain and like we were being shooed out the door. It's a Friday night at 8:35pm. If you didn't want to seat us, you didn't have to? Our waiter and food delivery people seemed annoyed with our presence. The drinks were the weakest I had the entire trip to Maui (and we tried manyyy different ones) and things in our order were forgotten and misrepresented. Came for the food aesthetic and reviews, ended up with disappointing service. My boyfriend and I went to Maui for the weekend and decided to have Three's Bar & Grill as one of our meals. We got seated in a good amount of time, but the time it took for someone to even bring water was ridiculous. The staff were really bad with service and looked like they weren't doing anything for majority of the time before coming to our table. When someone came to bring water, they took long again just to take our food order. This was probably around 30 minutes total before ordering anything. After they brought our food, no one came back to check on us. We had to flag down our server who never showed face the whole time we were eating. It made the experience worse that our server wasn't attentive or super friendly. The food was okay, but not worth the price and horrible service that comes with it. read more

Came with my family for dinner here during a recent trip to Kihei, and liked it so much we came back for lunch a day or two later. On our first trip, we got Kalua Pork Nachos, Bacon Fried Brussels Sprouts, both very good, especially the Brussels Sprouts. But our favorite was the Hurricane Fries. Maybe the best french fries we've ever had. We got two orders and couldn't wait to get them again at lunch. I ordered mahi-mahi at one meal and a burger at the other. The fish itself was somewhat bland, but then mahi-mahi isn't an intensely flavorful fish -- oddly, fresh fish isn't really the thing at Maui restaurants. And though the island is overrun with feral chickens, fresh chicken doesn't seem to be the thing, either. But fresh grass-fed beef sure is; it's cheap and high-quality. Three's signature burger was excellent. Most of the things we liked best were "must try signature items" labeled on the menus. That covers the Hurricane Fries, the Signature Burger, and the Tropical Coconut Shrimp Salad. This is elevated bar & grill food, beautifully presented and plated. Clearly the three chefs have pride in their food, and if they wanted to they could have a white-tablecloth/fine-dining place. Happily, Three's has more of a rock 'n' roll bar vibe. Downside: It's pricey for what it is (reasonable prices for Maui, but a little steep by mainland standards). Service was uneven; very prompt and attentive on our first (dinner) visit, very slow and lax on our second (lunch) visit. At lunch, we sat down and the waitress asked us about waiting for Happy Hour. That was a full hour away so we joked we wouldn't be there that long. Wrong! It took well over 40 minutes to get our order, so we were still there when Happy Hour started. Joke was on us. My mom kept saying the teriyaki chicken was fish and I kept telling her it was just good chicken. The service was kind of slow I will say, but the gentleman there - not sure if he is the manager or owner - ended up getting us the check. My check said Catch of the day so I told him the wrong meal was on the check. A long story short, I still don't know what we ate (LOL) because the ingredients seem very similar but the gentleman said he thinks it was actually the fish meal (based on my picture). He took that meal off of our check because of the error. I couldn't stop laughing because I swore it was chicken not fish, yet it probably was the catch of the day. We cleaned both plates (nothing was left after we finished) so it wasn't a big deal but I thought it was a spectacular gesture on his part. The check only ended up being $20 some dollars! I gave $10 tip for that reason. Food was delicious and despite somewhat slow service, he made this review 5 star. If I lived here, I'd totally come back. The food overall was below average, we ordered flat iron steak, Ramen, crispy pork salad, and the dragon berry mojito. Steak came to the table incorrectly cooked and the mushroom and kale slaw was over powering and clash in flavors. It was overall too salty, similar to the ocean water. Ramen was very plain and lacked flavor. The Crispy pork salad was the only good thing about this place, the pork was crispy and balanced well with the papaya salad. So Guy Fieri ate here and he's got a place in Sacramento and he's got a tv show so he must know what he's talking about... The greeted me warmly and seemed surprised that I would be dining alone but showed me to a lovely outside table beneath the most glorious tree facing the ocean just in time for sunset. They apologized for not having a full sushi menu which was absolutely NOT a problem because I had my eye on the flat iron steak... as someone who is a True connoisseur of epic beef, this was one of the finest and most flavorful steaks I've ever had. The mashed potatoes and mushroom Demi glacé were an astounding accompaniment and I had not one but TWO lilikoi lady cocktails!!! I did order a side salad just so I'd get my veggies in... but dinner was served up promptly with a smile and was an extraordinary palate pleaser!!! Five stars! AMAZING. the rest of the times: flat/stale/hard chips and smaller pork portion topped with maybe 3 jalapeño slices), sometimes a wait time bc they are busy, ramen fell short on expectations (my boyfriend and i are ramen fanatics and try it everywhere we go, the bar was set high for this one but it looked a lot better than it tasted. this was the driest pork i've come across in ramen before), and parking can be a pain but it's not really something they can control so i won't set it against them. i am giving 4 stars because the first time we came here, we were BLOWN AWAY by how good the food was. it was also lively during happy hour with dancing and live music (a thursday night!). it was SO enjoyable that even though Three's failed to be consistent the following 3 times, they still deserve the credit. Visited this place because we wanted to hit up a local happy hour & I was feeling for some ramen. My husband and I arrived at 4:30 for happy hour and had the chance to order some drinks and appetizers. My husband ordered a couple rolls and we also ordered some nachos. I had to wait until 5pm to order dinner (the ramen) which was no problem at all. However, I honestly think they forgot about my order because I wanted 45 mins until my ramen came out. I almost cancelled the order because my husband was already done eating his meal but the sever quickly told me it was coming out. The ramen itself was disappointing! I'm a HUGE ramen fan and the noodles are NOT ramen noodles. They were almost like chow mein noodles or stir fry noodles in soup? The broth was underwhelming. Definitely not worth the $19. We ordered a few drinks, some sushi, hurricane fries and some wings. In my opinion, everything was awesome for the price, I really enjoyed the spicy tuna roll. My only complaint was that it was mildly hard to find, as it is tucked away behind a beach boutique and shares a common plaza with a few other restaurants. The inside has PLENTY of seating that I imagine can handle even the worst rushes, and there was also a decent amount of patio seating. We chose to sit outside because .. hello it's Maui and the weather was beautiful as always. I went for the huevos rancheros and a peach bellini. He opted for the chimichurri sandwich and a pineapple mimosa. While the rancheros seemed more like chilaquiles (I'm not trying to be picky I'm just saying!) and the sandwich wasn't heavy handed with the chimichurri like we had hoped - both dishes were overall delicious. Not sure what's happening with the establishment. This used to be one of our favorite spots, even during quarantine. Last dine-in experience: a few nights ago tanked. My husband received his dinner 30 minutes before I received mine. Not only did our server walk by several times and not acknowledge this, but so did the manager. I had to bring it to their attention, and then no compensation was even offered. Everyone is entitled to an off night, so when we craved Kahlúa Pork Nachos after snorkeling all day we placed a takeout order DoorDash order: According to the app, Threes acknowledged and was preparing our order. However, when our Dasher arrived to pick the order up the Manager informed her that they do not partner with DoorDash any longer. I called and spoke to the manager who gave me the same lame story about how they are no longer partnering with DoorDash and that this has been an issue for several weeks that they cannot get it resolved with DoorDash. We came for happy hour as it is touted as one of the best in the area. The drink specials are quite good. $3.50 margaritas and Mai Tais, $4 local beers and house wine for $5.75. They also have a decent selection of appetizers and sushi on the HH menu. We decided to have some oysters ($2 a pop), the fries, Brussels sprouts and the crusted ahi tuna roll. Everything was decent. The fries were topped with rice crackers (a nice touch that made me feel a bit nostalgic for my childhood), the sprouts were nicely caramelized with bacon. The roll was nice and crispy but could've use a bit more seasoning. The oysters were just too big for my liking. Service was also good.
