I purchased a 1935 Connecticut Commemorative Half Dollar for $200 from this store with a bit too…read moremuch trust... the gentleman working the counter was pushing the notion of the coin being of an exceptional grade, which would prompt a significant price jump if graded by a professional grading service- I didn't have a jeweler's loupe with me and my eyes aren't quite trained on grading, so I trusted his judgement. After purchasing and having a local coin dealer authenticate it, they stated that it has irrefutable evidence of the coin being cleaned, which certainly affects the value of the coin. He offered me $100 to take it off my hands. Either this individual has no idea what he's doing, or he is completely cognizant and a slimy salesman. I doubt I'll return to the store under any circumstance.

These weren't worn-out items. Many pieces were either unworn or in excellent condition. They called us back and said they decided not to take anything due to the "condition." Three full bags. All rejected. It was honestly a huge waste of time -- especially when you take the effort to carefully select higher-end, on-trend brands. Out of curiosity, we brought the exact same bags to Plato's Closet beforehand. They offered us over $200 for everything. So clearly, the "condition" wasn't the issue. Safe to say we'll be taking our business to Plato's Closet from now on. If you value your time and have quality brands, you might want to consider doing the same. Hubby was off looking at clothes of all things. He actually found a great deal on a men's puffer jacket (Hawke & Co.) for $10! There were a couple of tiny tears around one elbow and I sewed the hanging nylon and with all the puffer action, you can't even tell I repaired it. He is very happy with his purchase! Since it was right before Halloween, we were looking at costumes, etc. I found a cute girls pumpkin dress and while I was there I sent a pic to my niece, but she already had something similar. They had everything arranged so nicely and the store was well lit. They had some very nice brand name clothing items and the prices were great! And, the best thing of all is that the proceeds from the store benefit the counseling and services available to patrons that need their help.
