The needles were first. All of them in my shoulder were painless, but the three down my arm "at acupuncture points" were like lightning at first. The cupping followed. Dr. Wang applied a bunch of them quickly. The atmosphere of the treatment area is nice and comfortable. She makes sure you're warm enough and leaves you with a nightlight so you can nap. I went to Dr. Hu over six months ago because I could not get relief for the pain and numbness in my leg that was caused by slipping on black ice in February of 2015. I tried chiropractic treatments, but the numbness remained. Before I resorted to the opioids and nerve blocks of traditional medicine, my sister (a functional medicine specialist) suggested that, if I tried acupuncture, my numbness might go away.  I did; it did.
