I went here on recommendation of a friend. Dr. Kennedy (Sr.) was so kind. They NEVER said anything bad about my absence from the dentist (my childhood dentist was all about the scolding). In fact, I think it's a policy or something, because every staff member I've ever seen has practiced only positive reinforcement. I couldn't believe what a difference this made in my comfort level. As others have said, AA Smiles is not cheap. When I had really bad dental insurance, I usually had to pay the difference between what they said a cleaning would cost and what it costs at AA Smiles. THAT SAID, I've never had them upsell me. In fact, they make a point to go over estimates ahead of time, have you sign off on them, triage the care you need, and even contact your insurance ahead of time to help you figure out the actual out of pocket cost of a procedure. Beyond that, you can tell that they invest in equipment and staff, not in fancy fountains and TVs for the waiting room. Also, I'll pay for a quality office if it means avoiding weird strip mall dentist offices. In the aforementioned dental emergency, I needed a whole tooth replaced with a crown. Rather than the usual 'take a cast, fit the crown, get a temporary crown, wait a couple weeks .. ' that takes several appointments, they scanned my mouth and a 3D image appeared on the screen. Then they matched my tooth color exactly and machined the crown in the other room. The whole appointment was less than an hour and a half. On top of that, Dr. Kennedy did a beautiful job shaping to tooth to look natural in my mouth. He also took GENUINE JOY in helping me. I've since gone back for countless procedures and cleanings (with Chris? Kris?) .. I now see Dr. Emily Kennedy and she's fucking phenomenal. I recommend her to anyone I know with dental anxiety.

My issue is that after just 2 hours from leaving this office I was in a crazy amount of pain while i was at the dentist getting fillings done, I asked if i needed a root canal because even though she numbed me I could still feel the pain .. she said no I don't need it and to stick it out we were almost done .. I have had fillings done before and they never felt like this.. I called the office and they wouldnt see me and told me to wait for my doctor to call.. I asked what do they do with emergency patients that were just seen there.. they had no idea and tried to act like what i was going through was normal... mind you I currently work in healthcare and in dental before. I asked can I be seen for them to double check the work she said no .. the dr called me after office hours and told me she can see me in the afternoon the next day.. but didnt offer any medication or what to do with this pain.. luckily i was able to contact a new office who allows emergency appointments and they said the Doctor drilled too deep the next day I went in for a root canal A2 smile called me and asked for my review .. He also is very clear about what I might have to do in the future vs. if anything is needed now. He never pushes for any procedures and in fact tends to be discouraging about anything unnecessary. I like all the plants in the entrance and waiting room. Little researcher that she is, she found Dr. Choi at Choice Dental, which is on South Main just across from the stadium in that office building with the parking underneath. Everytime I'd turn around, he'd have something new and techy, from the tiny camera he used to take pics of my teeth so I could see what was going on to the program he used to show my how my teeth were going to move. Better yet, when I went for my cleaning, the DENTIST did the whole cleaning. Not a 2 minute consult. The WHOLE cleaning. Long story short, this dentist will make you feel like you're back in time, with a dentist who's good at what he does and actually gives a damn about you. Old school. First I had x-rays, which I didn't mind because they have an electronic x-ray machine that stitches together a panoramic view of the mouth. No more cardboard bite wings poking me in my cheeks and throat (I have a very small jaw.) Then they probed my gingival pockets. I got a gold star on my report card for having healthy gums. All that flossing pays off, people! My last dentist never did that gum check for some reason. It was explained to me that they do it every other year to track periodontal health. Then the cleaning. We started with the polishing, which is the opposite of how it had been done to me for many years. I have to say, it worked better to have the crunchy stuff first, then the rest of the cleaning rinsed my mouth clean, so I didn't leave the office still crunching on pumice. This office has an ultrasonic scaler, which is the professional version of the ultrasonic toothbrush that I have at home. It took me quite a while to get used to my toothbrush. It tickled like crazy. So I can imagine that if you're not accustomed to the tickling, the scaler at the dental office might be a bit uncomfortable, but definitely let them do it this way. The scaler uses water to cool the cleaning head so that your delicate tissues don't overheat from the vibrations. So you get a steady trickle of water that eventually washes all the pumice away. The reason the ultrasonic scaler is way better: less time using that metal probe to flick off the crusty gunk. I hate it when the wire gets caught in between two teeth, prying them apart and making me fear that something bad might happen when the hygenist rips that puppy out from between my swaying bicuspids. So I am definitely a fan of the ultrasonic scaler! I came home and as a joke, I said to my husband, "So, do you notice anything different?" as I showed him my teeth. He said, "Yes, they're whiter!" I am totally happy with this new dentist, her hygenist and the office staff. I am so glad I finally made the switch. Open 8am~5pm Mon~Thu (Closed Fri, Sat & Sun, though you can call if you have a dental emergency.)

Upon conducting a thorough Google search, we stumbled upon Embree Dentistry. After my first call to the office, I spoke with Kristy, I knew that we would be well taken care of. For my first couple of visits, the first being an evaluation, they were quick to reschedule if anything came up or notify me if they were running a little behind. I greatly appreciate this level of transparency. There's nothing worse than waiting in a reception area for your scheduled appointment to open up! The hygienists are highly skilled at what they do, especially Jenny. When I am there, I see Doctor Heys, who is great. All in all, I am very impressed with the level of communication and expertise. 5 stars!

I waited 6 days before they acknowledged my request for an appointment, knowing it was an emergency situation. They need a man to help run the office to make sure things get done, because clearly this all-women thing just is not working.
