Went in for a tattoo removal gave me a price and then when she was done gave me the higher price I had to help her with the work and felt wow he's still gonna charge me $200 more than what you originally said and so walked out of there after paying $500 when I was total it would be $300 so not so sure about this. She's a nice lady. She does good work, but I mean to be fair as a big burn. It took two weeks to get healed up. Cost me about $100 for all the first aid supplies and burn cream for the laser tattoo removal and it was pretty intense, Recovery. We did not go back for the second treatment. I highly recommend! Went today for eyebrow TATTOO REMOVAL. After years of delaying having this procedure done because I had heard that other places charge high prices, could damage the skin, and may not even work... I finally decided I was tired of living with clown like eyebrows on my FACE... I looked on Yelp and there she was! I called and was able to speak with Noushi (the owner and laser specialist). ***Please note that after my 2nd appointment at ExcelLase, it was requested multiple times that I write a good review. Now makes me unsure how accurate the other 5 star reviews are*** I was hesitant to leave a review because I do think the owner is very nice but after my great experience at a different facility, it makes my experience with ExcelLase appear even worse... I'm not the type of person to "shop around" for services. If a place is reasonably priced, has good reviews, and checks out - I'm in. ExcelLase was the first place I visited to have my tattoo removed. I have light skin, used only black ink, and it's only been a few years since I've had it done: a perfect combination to have this removed cleanly and easily. I went in for the consultation and all went well. The owner quoted about 7 treatments (but mentioned it could be slightly more or slightly less depending on how my tattoo reacts). Luckily, if you prepay you get a discount and 3 extra sessions in case it turns out to be more than 7. I accepted that offer and paid over $2k to have this removed. After 2-3 sessions I realized that there was very little noticeable change with my tattoo and voiced my concerns. I can't afford to pay much more than $2k to remove this and I didn't want to go through 10 sessions only to have to decide if I was either going to pay $2k more for 10 more sessions OR have a half faded tattoo on my body for the rest of my life. I was told that I already pre paid for these sessions so my only option was to move forward with them. Over the next year, I attended all 10 sessions. I didn't look forward to a single one - not because of the pain of tattoo removal - but because I often: - showed up on time and had to wait 20+ minutes to get called back - sit in the back room for 30 mins while the owner tried to talk me into other services she offered Finally all 10 sessions were completed and lo and behold, my tattoo was only half gone. I decided that because I was not seeing the results I was hoping for and I switched jobs (which made my commute into ExcelLase much harder), I would try a different company. Going in for a consultation at a place in north west Raleigh (that was housed in a professional doctor's office setting), the doctor was shocked that after 10 full sessions with ExcelLase, my tattoo was still this dark. She also told me that the previous laser scarred me in 2 places on my upper back (this new office uses a different laser that helps to repair scarring instead of causing it). And the cherry on top - my new doctor quoted me only 2 full sessions and 1 touch up session to remove my tattoo completely AND each session is only 1/3 of the cost of what ExcelLase charged me. So it seems I greatly overpaid for slightly incompetent services using a sub par laser. I would recommend trying some place else that charges less, uses a different laser, and is in a more professional environment! read more

I came very close to buying a laser hair removal package at a national chain. They pulled a bait and switch that made me decide to do some online review reading before signing. I am so glad I did because I found Noushi by searching best laser hair removal in Raleigh on yelp. She has a fabulous laser and knows how to use it! I have now completed my third of a five treatment package for underarm and bikini. I am definitely happy with my results so far. What to expect: it's more of an uncomfortable feeling than an actual "pain". I think it would hurt if she didn't have cold air blowing while the laser is doing its thing. After the session, the treated area looks kind of rough, but normals out after a couple of days. Within two weeks, a "shedding" process starts where all of the hairs with exploded follicles start pushing there way out. Depending on the location, you may not even notice this happening. For a fee weeks, you are hair free and loving it. Then, the next cycle of active hair growing starts and it's time to get those treated. It shouldn't take more than 5 sessions to get them all. The hairs that grow after the first session are different. The next set of hairs comes in more fine, which is awesome. I am going to get an old tattoo removed by Noushi as well. I went to see Nooshi (not sure if I have the spelling of her name right) a few months ago to get laser hair removal in a few areas where I really think God should not have put body hair in the first place. I have had it done once before, and remember it being a white knuckle painful and uncomfortably awkward experience. But this time Nooshi set me right at ease, had me cracking up when she called totally au natural pubic hair the "Osama bin Laden look". Nooshi understands her laser machine like a true scientist - in fact she is a highly educated engineer who used to design computer chips. She is also a body hair removal evangelist/entrepreneur, and great at what she does. The whole thing procedure went quickly and I was too entertained by the conversation to feel awkward. All I can say is that this was by far the best decision I have made in my life. At first I was incredibly nervous to have my hair zapped off by laser beams...but merely meeting and speaking with Noushi put me at ease. She is hilarious, warm, comforting, and just awesome. She clearly knows what she is talking about and is very informative about the technique- I walked out feeling like a laser connoisseur! It does hurt. A lot. Granted almost every time I went, Noushi would be mad at me for getting "too tan" which made it more difficult for the laser to track the hair follicle (see, she taught me well). So the added pain is my own fault, I shouldn't have gone in the middle of the summer...but even in the midst of the pain, as I'm squeezing the office teddy bear as hard as I can, Noushi is cracking jokes the entire time to distract me. She's awesome. It is so so so worth a little bit of pain for a lifetime of no hair. The pain isn't like waxing where you have a burning sensation that lingers. Rather, once the lasers are off, the pain is gone. So you can easily muster a few minutes (yes, she is that efficient) of pain. Do yourself a favor and go when you're pale because it hardly hurts at all. I got a Brazilian which could be very awkward, but Noushi made sure I felt comfortable the entire time. Of course she also had me laughing so hard that all of my nerves went away and before I knew it it was over. I highly, highly recommend her. Not only is she a comedian, but she is also a very intelligent, educated woman who is an expert. She is so sweet and personable and frequently texts me after sessions to check up on me and make sure I'm doing okay after. I researched the top Fraxel Treatment Centers in the Raleigh/Durham/Cary area. My decision was based on Yelp & Google Reviews, reading customer testimonials and social media. I then made appointments for consultations and spent the next few weeks going to the different facilities for consultations. One of my consultations was with Noushi at ExcelLase. I have to say that I was extremely impressed with her knowledge and specifically the level of detail and the time she took to explain EVERYTHING to me. Noushi educated me on Fraxel, explained every step of the procedure, told me what to expect after the procedure, possible after affects, what I would need to do for my post treatment care and what results I should expect with the understanding there are no guarantees. She isn't pushy about trying to sell and never tried to upsell treatments I didn't need.
