The run a clean and well managed shop and staff is always kind and helpful. Kratom products are always well stocked and the items they sell seem to be from legitimate brands. Each item usually has clear labels, saying what's inside it and the amount mg/ strength etc. and their delta products are very clearly labeled! I feel comfortable knowing that they carefully review their products and the ingredients. They care about their customers experiences.

I'm so very disappointed as customer service from CHELSEA was surprisingly rude!! She informed me that they are able to break a kilo down a certain way & anything outside of that there is a bagging fee I said there's nothing on the card with the break down that says a $5 bagging fee & asked why wouldn't you guys have that posted? CHELSEA RUDELY EXCLAIMED WELL I AM HERE TO TELL YOU THAT!! All of these years I have been coming ((before they had a website)) this is the 1st ever told that & the fee to use credit cards! let alone feeling her irritable energy!!! I HAVE LUPUS & KRATOM HAS CHANGED MY LIFE!! I came in NEEDING A KILO TODAY REALLY NEEDING 2KILOS DEPENDING ON IF THEY HAD THE STRAIN & BATCH THATS BEEN FREEING ME OF LUPUS SETBACKS But had to walk away with a half kilo! Honestly would not have minded paying the extra $5 for requesting 2bags of 4 oz =8oz over a solid 8oz of the same strain ((hopefully that makes sense)) But considering there's nothing posted & how rude she was saying WELL I AM HERE TO TELL YOU THAT frankly I WAS NOT SURE IT was REAL POLICY It made me feel as if my business was not wanted & a bit nervous to return....

You need to come here. I do not know another shop like this in Austin where Cantu's has been my go-to for the 21 years of me living here. This is a rare gem of a store in South Austin that you have to know about if you don't already. This is a very unique, quiet, and calm place to come in to whether you want to browse or you are curious about a consultation at Lee's Healing Center (located inside the shop in the back). When I need red mal de ojo bracelets (what are ojo bracelets, you ask? They are for protection! Look it up!) for myself, friends, or even for my baby nephew Cantu's has got them. Yup! She carries baby bracelets too to give to a newborn baby or any one who has small wrists to be honest. You will want to really take your time here when you arrive as there are so many things to see. Books, candles, prayer booklets, trinkets, statues, and tarot cards (also in Spanish!) can be found here. There should be no rush when you are here so take your time and gather all the things that call to you. Parking is located in the back of the small yellow building. Entrance is in the front off of S. 1st street. Be sure not to park in the convenience store next door where the sandwich shop is at. You will be towed! Be sure to say hello to Virgen de Guadalupe on the side of the building. The mural is beautiful (and old) but worth the stop to check out and maybe get a selfie with her. She really shines off of S. 1st Street!

I went into the store today to buy some candles and Mr. Cantu also told me that they did cleanses which interested, he told me he did an oil cleaning so I waited for him to be available after my purchase. We went into the back room and he explained that the oil cleaning consisted on oils and herbals sprays that have to be applied on the body and that he also used an egg and a lime. He also said that I needed to take my clothes off and only leave my underwear, which raised some concerns and made me feel really uncomfortable. I think that if he is going to be Performing this kind of ritual on a woman, there needs to be a woman practitioner in the room while this is being done And he should also offer some sort of gown or a sheet for the Client to cover themselves with. The whole thing felt very unprofessional. Has this happened to anyone else??

There are also lots of other interesting things in the store as well. Though I wouldn't shop here if it weren't for the supplies I need as a Chinese medicine student. They also won't sell needles to the general public, which I like. You can, however, buy whatever herbs you like, but you should always have either Chinese medicine training or have a prescription from someone who does, because otherwise you won't know what you're doing. You can't just pick an herbal formula labeled simply for "stress" like you can in Western medicine. It doesn't work like that. I've never received any treatments from interns so I can't vouch for that, but I hear they're awesome. Their staff is very friendly and know me and my friends by name because we frequent there so much. :o) Plus! Every day they have a deal going on. I know Monday their herbs are 10-15% off, but I can't remember what the other days are.

They have some good flavors of Dagoba bars that I can't find elsewhere (chai) and sometimes some cool zenish clothes. I also like the one on Anderson for post Korea-house sushi shopping. I know they have all kinds of herbal medicine but I have not delved as of yet.
