It seems like I am always bouncing around nail salons trying to find the one that fits all of my needs/wants. This one did a pretty good job of that, so I am really pleased I took a shot at Thunder nails and I will be back. I went with my mom, she got a nail tech named Tommy, he did a fantastic job on her nails and he was really quick. I had a picture of what color I wanted and they helped me go through all the colors to pick the closest one. I really appreciated their help! Everyone was friendly and positive. They make you feel right at home. I wouldn't say this was the most relaxing or calming mani I've had- more like a in & out type of experience but I wouldn't say that took away from the experience. Just a warning if you are wanting to really be pampered- this may not be the place for you. My nails turned out great as well. My tech was really sweet and tentative. She really took her time with getting my nails done well and shaped like I wanted. It's aggravating when you try and talk to your nail tech about what you want and they don't give you the time of day to listen. She wasn't like that at all! I definitely felt heard and she delivered on what I wanted. The prices are great here! I got the dip nails and it was $30. On top of that, they offer a student discount so it knocked it down to $27! I absolutely loved this nail salon. I came in as a walk in and only had to wait 10 or less minutes for a tech to come back from their break. The lady who did my nails was extremely sweet and attentive. I got a basic acrylic set (all tip) and just a top coat over a pretty pink base. The nails were only 45 + tip!! Pretty bad experience. We came in with friends and all got sat separately. We asked to sit next to each other and were told no. My daughters nails were painted and all the polish slid right off after just a few hours. I got a full set and gel polish and the gel polish started chipping after 2 days. I called and made them aware of it and they told me come in and redo them but I asked for a refund since I wasn't happy with the service or product. They asked me to come in and get the refund. When I showed up they didn't offer to take them off they made me stand at the counter and demanded they clip them down before giving me my money back. I agreed because I just wanted to be done with it but now I'm stuck with nails that look even worse and I can't get them off ‍ Not worth $55. Save your money and go somewhere else! read more

My nails came out alright nothing special for the price could definitely have gone somewhere cheaper... he also charged me an extra $3 for shape saying square oval was more... like i get it if you did coffin of stiletto but see my attached pic... just a way for them to get more money from you. My tech was Tommy, he was very friendly and charming. I have been searching for a quality nail salon for some time now. I've also been dipping the last few times. My nails are so thin, but dipping makes them hard and allows them to grow. The problem I've run into with dipping is an uneven surface, too thick, or too wide, leaving my nails looking fake. Not here! At lease not with Tommy. He was careful taking the old ones off and thorough dipping my new ones. I came here to get my nails fixed after I had gone to a pricier salon that had done a horrible job. First, I was so overwhelmed with the amount of color choices they had. It took me so long to pick (which is a good thing). It's really hard to find a nail salon that has such a wide variety of colors. Secondly, I was really impressed when the nail tech fixed 2 nails that I wasn't even aware she had messed up on. They honestly looked fine to me, but I guess she wasn't happy with her work. Poor hygiene but good value for money overall Good value for the money - $35 buys you a manicure and a pedicure which includes paraffin, scrub, and a foot and hand massage. Poor hygiene - Depending on who serves you, the quality differs dramatically. One lady I had gave me 3 cuts with 2 of them with running blood. Regardless, she didn't treat it immediately with alcohol (to prevent infection) and dipped my hand in the SHARED paraffin (wax) soak instrument. After insisting many times and finally having to escalate with management, she wiped down the blood and the manager got me rubbing alcohol. read more

Absolutely love this place! All of the workers are so kind and they also do an excellent job on both manicures, pedicures, waxing, etc. I don't always have my nails done, but when I do need them to look nice I always stop by Thunder. When I get my fingernails done, I always get the acrylic nails with shellac or dip with an extension. They have never put my nails or cuticles in pain and the end product has ALWAYS look amazing. I have never gotten a pedicure until yesterday, and I really liked the experience. The massages, scrubs, hot towels, and the whole experience was so good! They offer you drinks for free, too! I love this place! I came in on a busy Friday evening and counted 11 people working. That seems unheard of for a smaller shop like this one. I didn't have to wait long to get my nails done either. Everyone was friendly polite professional. I went back for a pedicure and let me tell you this beautiful lady gave me the best leg and foot massage I've ever had! Now that I can actually review it all the way , DO NOT COME HERE . I got a pedicure and the first red flag was that the man didn't want to do the pedicure to begin with. He had an attitude the whole time and was asking me to hurry when picking out my color even though I just wanted white. When it came down to doing the actual pedicure he didn't ask me anything except which pedicure I wanted. He never asked me if I wanted my nails cut down or anything, just got to doing whatever he wanted to do. He even added some stuff to stretch the nail polish even though it was completely empty. He ended up cutting the sides of my nails super short and they started to bleed. I asked him if that was blood and he caught an attitude which prompted another lady to come over but she didn't say anything. I decided to just pay and leave when finished even though my nail was at this point burning. Since I had my graduation to get to I didn't decide to dwell on it any longer, I was on a time schedule. Over time my nail started to hurt worse and worse and one day I woke up to pus leaking out the side of it and it being swollen and red. I had a complete infection! I'm so over this disgusting establishment. All of this pain for something that could have been avoided. I'll never be back, please keep this in mind if you are wanting to come. At least don't deal with the older male doing the pedicures, he definitely needs to find something else to do. read more

Waiting close to 30 minutes after an appointment time is not my idea of a great experience. When they first opened the service and results were fantastic. Slowly started going down hill. Last time I went, the lady used dirty tools and then got mad at me after she cut me 3 times. She put nail glue on my cuts to get them to stop bleeding and when I realized what happened I had to forcibly remove my hands from her so I could go wash out the cuts and remove the nail glue. The layout is relaxing, massage chairs are top notch, and the deluxe pedicures are amazing! Hot towels, scrubs, massage, lotion, and can add paraffin for $5.
