no, just no. i went in yesterday with my mom to get mani pedis (that ended up talking a total of three and a half hours). the man i had was very rude & condescending & i was in pain more than i was relaxed from the fact that he was stabbing me with his own finger nail to the six times he told me "this isn't your color, honey *laughs*" to the dip color i had chosen that looked nothing like what was promised on the sample. on top of that i had a friend that came in wanting to have her nails done & sat for TWO HOURS & no one even talked to her- unacceptable. one week out & my mother & i's manicures are literalky falling off. the dip is supposed to last three weeks. everywhere else i've gone it lasts three weeks. terrible. read more

Very disappointed in the service here. Me and my mom came in for a regular pedi and a gel mani, and we were treated very poorly. Our nails are fine, but they made it very apparent they did not like us. We were nothing but nice to them and only got eye rolls in return. Used Great Stuff insulating foam sealant to fill a gap by the garage window last weekend. Figured it was just a small gap, so, did not wear any gloves despite of my wife reminding me to wear some gloves. Of course, with my clumsiness, I got some on my fingers and nails. After unsuccessfully trying every method mentioned on YouTube to clean off the dried foam, I figured I'll just have to go to my work with the nasty looking nails for at least a week or two. Visited this spa while my wife was shopping at Sam's - they were very busy on the weekend; but, fortunately, was able to fit me in after a short wait. They were able to quickly clean my nails and I got a nice manicure since I'm already there. Staff were very nice and the prices were very affordable. read more

We have all tried multiple nail salons and attempts for walk ins. Depending on who you get and their attitude towards providing service, some nail salons give off that uncomfortable feel from language barrier to nail techs excessively chattering amongst each other. My first couple experiences at Venus were walk ins when this business first opened a few years ago. I remembered being politely greeted by who I thought was the owner, but the nail job was an average experience and nothing stood out differently from other locations besides they didn't seem to have negative chattering amongst the nail technicians. About a year ago, I returned for a walked in pedicure and Tammy was my nail tech. Language barrier usually has me wondering how to express my needs initially, but the results and effort put forth by Tammy has me scheduling all my appointments with her. She is so meticulous and remembers all my needs. She loves to give massages so you get the best leg and feet massages with pedicures. She is so kind hearted and result oriented that I feel safe with her. The salon can get overbooked or busy with walkins at times as many others, so be graceful with walkin wait times. They work hard to get customers waiting in a spa chair to soak until your nail tech is ready. I will continue getting my pedicures here with Tammy!! read more

I have visited here twice now, the 1st time within days after they opened. The facility is really pretty, chandeliers throughout! But aside from the aesthetics, they do a really great job for a really great price! I have had a pedicure (Tammy is fantastic), a shellac polish (Anna was great-I skip the full-on manicure, just my personal preference) and my daughter has had acrylics done here. All of their services are priced reasonably and they do an efficient, thorough job! I am posting a photo of my shellac, NOT right after I got it but 17 days later!!! Keep in mind, I have prepared a Thanksgiving feast for 12 people with this polish! No chips or lifting at all! I have had other shellac polish lift from the back after it grows out a bit but I could honestly probably get another 4-5 days out of this one if it wasn't for my nail growth! This place was so dirty. I went for an eyebrow wax, they took me to the waxing station and i wait for almost 15 minutes, i ended up getting someone, i think they forgot about me. Ive been growing out my eyebrows to fix something from the last time, it was at a different place. So they finished up and i looked at them. Didnt look much better.. i went home and fix them myself.. but really the main thing im mad about is how dirty the whole place was, even the waxing chair with pillow was gross! read more

Took my daughter on Saturday to get her nails done for her birthday she got a full set with dip polish and they looked great but Sunday her nails started popping off took her back Monday to get them fixed and they did fix it for free but it's now Wednesday and four more nails have broken and all the remaining nails are cracked she is not that hard on her hands and they should definitely last a lot longer than a few days I will not ever go back, long story short don't waste your money at this place read more

I am so impressed with Lynn at this nail salon. I came in to get a full set after a previous place completely messed up my nails. Lynn was more than happy to remove the terrible set from my nails and replace them with a beautiful set. She took her time to make sure each nail was perfect and told me a new way to do my nails so that I could get more benefit for what I paid for. Go see Lynn and she will hook you up. The part I don't understand is that the last time I made an appointment and when I got there two different people verified who I had the appointment with however after waiting 20 minutes someone else did my pedicure. Not the greatest experience. Only wanted my nails trimmed, cuticles cut, and shellac polish. My technician really didn't listen to what I wanted and forgot my color request (wanted glitter on the ring fingers, but they were painted in the regular color before I could say anything). After that was done, I quickly had lotion put on my arm and I had to stop him from continuing. Again, forgot my original request for only basic service. I'm not impressed. I also still believe that personal phone calls should not be taken while you are working with a customer. Not sure if I will try this place out again. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE. My two sisters and niece went with me to get pedicures. When we walked in, two ladies ahead of us had Children with them as well. They put both of their girls in the two children's chairs (understandable because they were here first) however, the younger one immediately began crying and did NOT want a pedicure. They took her out of the chair, and the mom said she may want her toes done later. Instead of putting my niece in the chair (who is 4) they made her sit in a normal size pedicure chair. After we were seated about 6 more people came in (both individually and in groups) to get pedicures. They worked on EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM before even bothering with my niece. The entire time, the one child pedicure chair was open. Finally, a woman walked over to my niece, looked at her, asked for her polish and then WALKED AWAY. They then brought another child, about the same age as my niece, and put her in the open child's chair and began working on her. Still, no one came to work on my niece. At this point, we were all almost finished, and yet my niece was sitting in her adult pedicure chair by herself just staring around asking why she wasn't allowed to go in the "puppy chair". Do you know how it feels to tell your 4 year old that they can't sit in the other chair because some lady who looked more prestigious' daughter may want the puppy chair later? Not very good. The workers rushed through our 3 adult pedicures so fast because people were waiting. They burned my sisters foot with the hot stone. She yelled and said ow, that burns! And he just left the stone laying on her foot. 15 minutes later her foot was still red from the burn. Then, my other sister was sitting in her chair waiting for a top coat, and the worker told her she needed to go wait somewhere else for her feet to dry. She informed them that she still hasn't had her top coat and was waiting for that. All that they cared about was getting us out of the chairs and the people waiting into them. She then told my other sister that she needed to go wait in the other room and leave her daughter in the chair. My sister of course did not feel comfortable leaving her daughter in a room by herself with strangers, so she waited for her while the remaining two of us went to the from to wait under the dryer. The dryer didn't work. It wasn't even plugged in. Finally, my sister and niece came around the corner, but the worker had my nieces arm grasped at the bicep so hard and was literally PULLING her. To say that we are furious does not even begin to explain how we are feeling. Moral of this story: if you look rich and important, or know the workers by name, you will get treated like royalty, while the lowly average woman who walks in will be treated like trash. I picked out a pale pretty mauve and got hot pink, which is probably my LEAST favorite color on the face of the planet. My technician made me bleed because she got too carried away cutting my cuticles. Some of my nails are crooked. When I told her that the color was brighter than anything I would like, she told me it was pretty and kept going. I wish I were more assertive, because I'm extremely unhappy with my nails.....and I sat there and let them do it! Never NEVER again. I'm going to Stillwater to have them fixed at my salon. read more
