Honeycomb, strawberry and chocolate
Abby H.

Finally gave this place a try! They are located right by the movie theater and down the street from the temple. A great location for an icecream shop. Plus the Thurgood name is an old name for this area so it's a name a lot of people know. Good thinking on their part! The store is cute and even though it is small they have a good amount of indoor and even outdoor seating. The lines get long but they have three employees taking orders at the same time so it goes by fast. They allow samples as well, so you can try the flavor before you order. Since it is homemade icecream the flavors are strong. The chocolate is a very dark chocolate flavor and the honeycomb has a lot of real honey in it. Might be too strong for kids but as an adult I appreciate the real flavors. They also have a large range of gluten free options as well. Very good icecream shop!

Service was so nice and welcoming. Nice clean and bright inside. Mint chop, creamy deliciousness, honeycomb is so nice and creamy and love the honey. Throttled cookie dough, that is delicious! These ice creams are creamy, fresh and delicious!

Waffle ice cream.

I've tried this place twice and both times the ice cream had a weird after taste. I have zero desire to go back

Great gluten free and dairy free options! I had to cut out diary for my diary intolerant baby and I'm glad I can enjoy ice cream again

I stopped by Iceberg Drive Inn recently because I'd heard good things and was really craving a…read moreclassic burger and shake combo. I have to say, the food itself did not disappoint--the burger was tasty, and the shake was thick, sweet, and exactly what I was hoping for. So I really wanted to like this place... but unfortunately, the overall experience made it hard to enjoy. I went through the drive-thru, thinking it'd be quick and easy, but I ended up sitting in line for 32 minutes--which is just crazy, especially when the line wasn't even that long. When I finally got to the window, the staff looked completely out of it. I don't know if they were just tired or something else, but they looked either high, burnt out, or totally checked out. No smiles, no greeting, no "thanks for waiting"--just super low energy and like they didn't want to be there. I understand people have rough days, but when you're working in customer service--especially in food--you expect at least a little friendliness or acknowledgment, especially after such a long wait. The vibe from the staff made the whole visit feel awkward and uncomfortable. It's a shame because the food was actually good. But between the long wait and the awful service, I don't see myself going back. There are plenty of other places to grab a good shake--places where the service matches the quality of the food. Iceberg might have good flavors, but they really need to work on their customer service and speed.

There can't possibly be a slower place for food. I used to always go for the mozzarella sticks…read morebecause they are the only place in the area with them, but stopped because it was taking 30-45 minutes. Tonight we went for a single ice cream cone. There was one car leaving the drive thru and my husband went inside and spent 20 minutes for ONE chocolate soft serve cone. I keep hoping it'll get better, but at this point I've lost any hope. There have been times I've had to leave my order because it's take too long.

Parking was a breeze, which is always a win during the lunch rush. I ordered the strawberry lemonade and the Carne Asada Plate, and both were excellent--the meat was thinly sliced with a flavorful marinade, and the homemade tortillas were thick, warm, and absolutely delicious. Their pico really stood out with its fun mix of cucumbers, radishes, onions, and tomatoes, adding a refreshing crunch to every bite. Our server kept drinks full and service smooth, even with a large group. Everyone at the table loved their entrées, and I'd highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for hearty, flavorful food in a clean and welcoming setting. I'll definitely be back!

The waiter/cashier was super friendly and bounced around helping multiple tables. I ordered the breakfast burrito with steak. It was so good with the sauce. I couldn't stop eating. I also had a Berry Berry waffle. The waffle was so moist with fresh fruit on top and whipped cream. Simply beautiful!!! I'm gonna make this my go to breakfast spot for when I'm in Utah.
