I stopped by Iceberg Drive Inn recently because I'd heard good things and was really craving a classic burger and shake combo. I have to say, the food itself did not disappoint--the burger was tasty, and the shake was thick, sweet, and exactly what I was hoping for. So I really wanted to like this place... but unfortunately, the overall experience made it hard to enjoy. I went through the drive-thru, thinking it'd be quick and easy, but I ended up sitting in line for 32 minutes--which is just crazy, especially when the line wasn't even that long. When I finally got to the window, the staff looked completely out of it. I don't know if they were just tired or something else, but they looked either high, burnt out, or totally checked out. No smiles, no greeting, no "thanks for waiting"--just super low energy and like they didn't want to be there. I understand people have rough days, but when you're working in customer service--especially in food--you expect at least a little friendliness or acknowledgment, especially after such a long wait. The vibe from the staff made the whole visit feel awkward and uncomfortable. It's a shame because the food was actually good. But between the long wait and the awful service, I don't see myself going back. There are plenty of other places to grab a good shake--places where the service matches the quality of the food. Iceberg might have good flavors, but they really need to work on their customer service and speed. read more

There can't possibly be a slower place for food. I used to always go for the mozzarella sticks because they are the only place in the area with them, but stopped because it was taking 30-45 minutes. Tonight we went for a single ice cream cone. There was one car leaving the drive thru and my husband went inside and spent 20 minutes for ONE chocolate soft serve cone. I visited this location on a Wednesday at about 1pm. I went through drive thru, there was no line it was empty when I went. I only ordered fries and zucchini. It took a while to get the food, but I figure they prob just now had to make it fresh because it was a slow time to visit. The service was friendly and the food was GREAT! the zucchini was massive and i didn't even finish it by myself. Only bummer is that it comes w ONE RANCH and I think it's deserving of two FREE dipping sauce. The fries were fresh and delicious as well. It's been a minute since we have been here since the food takes forever to get to you and the order is usually wrong. But my kids were craving icecream, and I wanted a burger, so we tried it out again today. I came with 4 kids and we got our food under 10 minutes so that was awesome. The guy at the register was kind and patient with my kids who couldn't decide what they wanted, and we were all happy with our food. We came at around 1:30 so it was mostly empty. The best part about this place is how much icecream you get. It's a lot for the price. When I try to get creative with my order it's usually wrong but my kids wanted cookie dough and cookies and cream and it was just what they wanted! My only complaint is they crush up the add ins. I have had iceberg 3-4x now and it's gotten worse each time. Tonight was the worst yet...My sweet potato fries were chewy, my burger tasted like it was a frozen patty from a elementary cafeteria, and my milkshake was literally just vanilla until the very end of the shake at the bottom their were a couple pieces of butterfinger. I also asked a staff member about a flavor and they said "I don't know". The staff is super unfriendly minus one older gentleman. Not coming back. Telling my friends not to as well. The ice creams were very good, many flavors to choose from which is awesome. The ham & cheese sandwich was burned, had to return it and the fried zucchini and onion rings appeared to have been fried a 2nd time. They were very greasy. I would recommend the ice cream just not the food. read more

After living in the area for 5 years we decided to stop by for some ice cream around 8pm. Staff was not too friendly, did not say a word until after I finished my order. Simply ordered cookie dough ice cream and it somehow took over 10 minutes. We were the only ones in the place, when we did get our ice cream we decided to just take it home. Coming from California and passing the area, I had to come here because I read somewhere that this fast food chain is only found in Utah. Tried the number 1 with pumpkin shake. The serving size of the regular shake is gigantic. I've never seen a larger shake. Unfortunately it was so sweet I couldn't finish it. The fries and burger were okay. While out for a sunset drive we decided to stop at Iceberg Drive Inn, we had never been to this one. I ordered a mini pistachio shake and my husband a mini strawberry shake. These shakes were huge we had to check our receipt to make sure we ordered minis. Both of our shakes were this unusual vibrant color. His was a bubble gum pink, so pink, hot pink, we laughed about it. Mine was green with pieces of what I thought were neon green pistachios. I was tricked, it was chunks of neon green pineapple. Both tasted so fake and yucky we ended up throwing them away. The pistachio was filled with pineapple chunks, I love pineapple, but that's not what I ordered, it had a faint taste of pistachio with a plastic oder to it, overpowered with pineapple. My husbands strawberry shake tasted like cotton candy, just super sweet with no strawberries. Now we know, we are sticking to Burger Stop for true delicious tasting shakes! read more

Not a good atmosphere. Girl employees had attitude. Waited over 30 min. Burgers and fries not fresh. Showed up around 5:45-6 totally dark out and sonic building lights were off. Go to drive thru menu and those lights are off and can't see anything. End up looking it up on my phone to order. Then wait like 20 min to get to window. Takes them another 20 min to get my order out. Burgers were not hot and fries were cold. Still ate burgers and it was pretty decent. Would have been better while they were fresh. My husband and I were super hungry and I remember this place was good last year so we came here and we were VERY disappointed. Cost was more expensive than Zupas or Cafe Rio (favs of ours) so that just made it worse as we spent so much money on food that we just ended up throwing away. It tasted so old! My husband got fish and fries and he said the fish tasted burnt and the fries were stale. I got chicken tenders and fries and my chicken was rock hard. Compared to that, my fries weren't terrible. I'm visiting from out of town, and my family and I decided to stop here because the onion rings looked good, and we love onion rings. We came around 11 am, about 30 mins after they opened. As I was looking for a place to sit, I noticed that every single table was dirty. The tops of the booth seats were real dusty. It just didn't feel clean. What really stood out was the terrible service. We had to repeat we wanted a sprite multiple times. The drive through guy dropped our change on the ground and did nothing about it. He then acted put out when we reminded him we had ordered a lemonade we hadn't received. The shakes are ok. A great option for ice cream, serving sizes are ginormous (a mini is more than enough to share for two), but the service is AWWWFUL. I wait no less than 15 minutes every.single.time I come here and there is only 2-3 cars ahead of me. That isn't even an exaggeration. Chin-Fil-A can get me through quicker during their most busiest time of day. I should venture to add that when you pay for the special flavors, you aren't getting much of the "flavor" such as Reese's and to add extra is...well, extra. . Put really simply, it's just not good. I like these small places, especially ones that start in this good ole beautiful state. But man, this place is a let down. We went on the weekend and luckily beat the rush that came 3 minutes after getting there. This place is a gold mine for teenagers who think they are in love. You will soon come to realize that this place is just a disappointment. The burger is dry and had absolutely zero flavor. Went in for a pretty basic order. 1 Cookie Dough shake and 1 Cookies and Cream shake. Ended up with two shakes with cookies, cookie dough, brownie, chocolate chips, and fudge. They were pretty disgusting and not even mixed well (all the ingredients were stuck on the bottom). I get that mistakes happen, but there was only one girl there handling the drive-thru and the ice cream while 3 others were just sitting in the office talking and having a good time. You have to know ahead of time that the food is decent, but the ice cream is the real draw, which is unfortunate because there are plenty of places with the same draw and average food.
