We visit Disney often. We are DVC members, but when there isn't availability, we stay offsite. We recently stayed at Bryan's Spanish Cove and were quite happy with our stay. The location is great, and a very short drive to the parks. Our unit was clean and apparently recently updated. No yucky carpet, a huge plus. While some of the work was pretty sloppy, it did not bother us. The beds were comfortable and having two bathrooms is a plus too. Have reasonable expectations and you won't be disappointed. For us, it offered what we needed. Location, cleanliness & comfort. It is an older property and while updated a bit, there is still room for improvement. Also, there are no elevators, so if you have trouble with stairs try to request a first floor unit. Having a full kitchen is great. Not that we cook or anything. But for snacks and drinks. Unfortunately, we were only there for three days and didn't even get to check out the rest of the property or the amenities. There is a $13 per day "resort fee" but if the daily rate is fair, I don't mind. This is a timeshare, so they do try to get you to attend a presentation. Not too, too pushy though. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

My girl friend's parent bought a timeshare at Bryan's Spanish Cove about twenty years ago and they offered it to us for a couple of weeks so we decided to fly down to Orlando a stay there. The people in the office were very nice and practically fell over backwards to help us in any way they could. The grounds were nicely maintained and there was a nice comfortable room where they served coffee and had computers that were not working the whole time we were there. It was a good thing we brought our own. The only problem was that we did not have a printer. The units themselves were not as well kept up as the grounds. Half the grout was missing between the tiles in the kitchen and a few of the tiles themselves had come loose. I have a feeling it was the person they hired to do the tile because the quality of the tile work around the fireplace (believe it or not, there was a fireplace) was horrible. Someone got ripped off on that job. Also, the toilet did not flush very well and the lighting was horrible in the room with the toilet and shower. How is a man suppose to take a dump if he can't see to read? It wasn't the nicest furnished place I have ever stayed at by a long shot but it had all of the comforts of home including free wireless internet and the air conditioner worked so I could not complain too much. Perhaps the nicest part was the convenient parking. Imagine parking right in front of your unit unlike most hotels in the area where you either have to use valet parking or walk a half mile, definitely a huge convenience worth mentioning. We spent part of one evening while we were there watching the turtles swimming in the lake. Oh, I forgot to mention we had a lake. It was a pretty good sized lake too. They also have a boat dock along with boats for you to use while you are staying there. We never did get around to using the boats but we did have fun watching the turtles from the dock.

I finally get to officially update this long overdue review! The last time I was here was with my parents back in 1991. The buildings look about the same, but the grounds were upgraded along with more modern furniture and appliances. This time, Joe K and I decided to take a full 12 day vacation and experience as much sight seeing as we could fit in! My parents are too elderly to travel these days, and so I wanted to be able to come to Orlando and give them my eye witness account on how their timeshare condo was being taken care of. I also wanted to return here for another sentimental reason. My best friend since childhood was able to stay at Bryan's Spanish Cove for her vacation too, compliments of my parents. Orlando was on her bucket list. Sadly, my wonderful friend Debbie Z. recently passed away, and because she had a picture of herself standing near a pirate's ship mast that used to be a decorative part of the landscape, my plan was to have my picture taken in the exact same spot and maybe have our photos combined. Well I found out that the ship's mast rotted away and had to be removed before we arrived.... But anyway, back to our vacation at the cove.... This quiet tropical resort is like a home away from home with once per week maid service. The rooms are spacious, cozy and very comfortable. We had a full kitchen with all the necessary appliances, complete with dining table, washer and dryer, two comfy bedrooms and two full baths. Large screen TV's, cable, and DVD player. Each room (living room and master bedroom), has a lovely outdoor patio area with a relaxing view of nature. The patios are enclosed by a screen which protects you from flying insects, especially those pesky mosquitoes! A short distance from the condo is the nice pool area with heated Jacuzzi, all pleasantly situated allowing another nice view of Lake Bryan. Free paddle boats, canoeing and fishing is permitted, but swimming is not recommended due to the possibility of alligators inhabiting the waters. This lake extends all the way to Disney World! That's right; this place is only a few miles away from "the happiest place on earth"! Bryan's Spanish Cove seems to be centrally located to many popular tourist attractions besides Disney World and Epcot Center. We visited other points of interest such as Universal Studios, Sea World, Busch Gardens, Cypress Gardens and the Kennedy Space Center! There are many local restaurants, night clubs, and shopping centers. And don't forget to reserve an airboat ride for a closer appreciation of Florida's nature and wildlife! There is free internet service and two computers in the office lounge area for guests to have access to. Unfortunately, those computers were always out of order. But the wonderful and friendly office staff always seemed to be available whenever we needed help or had questions. I kept debating about giving this place 3, 4 or 5 stars, because there were a few minor inconveniences in our unit as well as some simple maintenance repairs that could have easily been done. But as I look back on my vacation as a whole, I have to admit, my trip to Orlando was very memorable even with it's ups and downs. This retreat is a homey, quiet, clean and comfortable, safe haven from all the crazy drivers and hordes of tourists that we had to endure on a daily basis! Returning to our vacation condo was a welcoming place to rest, regroup and make our next plans. Whether you want to explore all the wonders of central Florida or just rest and relax, this condo complex accommodates whatever your heart desires for young and old! My hope is that we can return sometime again before we are too elderly to travel! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-QP0y4wGaY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_pRyEU0dOI

I was pleasantly surprised with this place. About 5 to 7. Minutes away from Disney Springs, this little resort was clean, spacious and comfortable. We rented a villa for about $122 a night through hotels.com including resort fee. We got a very spacious two bedroom, two bathroom villa with kitchen, family room and screened in porch. Most importantly for me it seemed very clean. I checked the bathrooms and everything was decent. The kitchen was big too with a big kitchen table for eating. Two couches and cute fire place with tv for lounging. The beds were comfy and the water pressure was good. You do have a room above and one of the downsides was I could really hear movements above us early in the morning. But it wasn't anything horrible. The screened in porch was nice and led to a little walkway that headed for the lake. We were only there for a night so we didn't get to enjoy the amenities but they looked great. Nice pool area with lots of tables and chairs and a great dock overlooking the lake with canoes. It looked super cute. I would definitely stay here again especially in a group because the separate rooms are great.

My fellow YELPER in Sacramento, California (Ida H) offered me her week at this wonderful resort in Orlando, Florida. How can I refuse that? In Michigan the weather was still very cold so I was excited and said absolutely!!! Upon arriving I was very impressed with the outside of the units. Beautiful condos all lined up in a row. When we went to the office there was a fountain and we saw these lizard like things all over - they sort of remind me of a Gecko!!! In Michigan we do not have these creatures from the blue lagoon - muahhhh! Went into the office and there was a young lady who welcomed us to Bryan's Spanish Cove. They even had cookies there for us! She gave us the unit, which luckily it was on the first floor, and when we went there we were pleasantly surprised! We could've brought a whole party with us, the unit was humongous. Of course, since the unit was offered to me I took the largest room - ha ha ha and let my friend have the other room. King-sized bed, screened in porch, jacuzzi tub, in-room safe, tv with cable and it was all in my room!!! Needless to say I was a very happy camper! Thank you Ida H from Sacramento for hooking me up! Big kitchen with all the utensils, pots and pans, iron & ironing board - everything one needs to survive in the rugged outposts of the desert! It even had a washing machine and dryer, a dishwasher, and a toaster! I think at that moment that I am going to enjoy my stay in Florida very very well. The living room had a nice comfortable and sturdy sofa and loveseat, as well as a fireplace and a nice large television with cable and dvr! The sofa turns into a queen-sized bed! Beautiful fireplace and there is a patio door where there is a picnic table out doors. I think I am in my dream condo!!!! In the morning we go outside and walk to the pool area - short distance. Nice sized pool, jacuzzi with wonderful jets and overlooking Lake Bryan. Perfect. We had a perfect vacation and everyone at the Bryan's Spanish Cove was wonderful!

This is a timeshare. I booked off Hotwire. Don't do that! Hotwire is awful! I booked a 2 bedroom. My child sprained his ankle the day before getting to Orlando. When we got to Bryan's Spanish Cove we asked for a first floor unit. Unfortunately, they didn't have any. The hotel front staff was AMAZING! They tried to do everything they could to get us to a sister property with a first floor unit but Hotwire was more than difficult to work with. It wasn't worth the trouble. We decided to go ahead and get the second floor unit. There was a $30 charge not explained by Hotwire. The front desk staff offered to help bring in our luggage. Who does that?! What a nice offer! The unit we were assigned was right next to the highway. It was extremely loud at all times. Even the TVs didn't block out the highway noise. The space itself was perfect!! It had a nice large kitchen, large dinning room table. Big living room with access to patio. Master was a great size with large bathroom and access to the patio. The other bathroom was average. The bedroom was small. Two small twins. It was enough room for two children. Two adults would not be comfortable. The pool was AWESOME! They had pool noodles and balls we could use. Great for the kids! We were the only people all week. There was a beautiful lake view with dock. You could play shuffle board, kayak or pattle boat for free. The front desk had life jackets and the equipment for the shuffle board. There were nats at the pool but it was just a minor nuisance. No hot tub. You did have to take out your own trash and if you needed new towels you had to take your old ones to the office. No maid service. The property is older and does need updating. For the price we paid I would stay again only because the front staff, the space and pool. Again, the front staff was wonderful. I can't remember his name. If it wasn't for him this place would go downhill fast!

If you don't follow your GPS like it's the voice of God, you'll drive past this place at least 10 times wondering if you're being pranked. Once you finally find it, though, you're in for a surprise. The hotel is attached to a magnificent steakhouse and gives off this classy vineyard-patio vibe that makes you feel like you're about to attend a wine tasting, even if you're just there for work like I was. Walking up, there are beautiful outdoor tables with glass tops where guests can relax, eat, and pretend they're important. Then you walk into the lobby and BAM dark wood floors, elegant furniture, comfortable sofas, and enough atmosphere to make you wonder, Wait what did I accidentally book? I was honestly concerned I'd somehow clicked the wrong hotel and was about to max out my credit card. Nope. Surprisingly affordable. The room? Fantastic. You've got a Keurig machine ready to fuel your caffeine addiction, a nice big TV, all the amenities you need, and then there's THE BED. Listen, I don't know if it's a pillow-top, a cloud-top, a Sleep Number, a NASA mattress, or if angels personally fluff it every afternoon, but that thing is dangerous. I laid down for what felt like five minutes and woke up the next morning. I slept harder than a newborn after a bottle. Now let's talk about room service. They have this little stand where you order directly from the steakhouse downstairs. I ordered dinner, expecting hotel prices that require a small bank loan. The bill was $35. I nearly called the front desk to report a pricing error. Meanwhile, I was hungrier than a hostage, and they delivered a meal fit for royalty. For a brief moment, I genuinely felt like a VIP. The hotel also has a nice bar for those who enjoy a drink. I don't drink, but if I did, I probably would've celebrated finally finding the entrance. Bottom line: great atmosphere, beautiful property, comfortable rooms, amazing food, affordable prices, and a mattress that may have supernatural powers. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. Would I still need GPS to find it? Also absolutely.

We were able to go out and about without worrying about driving, which made the trip even more enjoyable. The hotel was easy to find, and parking is conveniently located right across the street with simple in-and-out access (though, of course, there is a parking fee -- which is never fun). Inside, the hotel is very clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff was accommodating throughout our stay. Our room was on the fifth floor, which I actually prefer when staying in a city -- the higher up, the better to avoid street noise. One of my favorite features of Embassy Suites is the room layout. The separation between the living room and bedroom is ideal, especially if someone wants to rest while others are still awake. The rooms have consistently been clean and feel very homey. Everything was great -- until Sunday morning. This is a dog-friendly hotel, which we love since we bring our dog and take her on walks so she's not stuck inside all weekend. However, checkout morning was pure chaos. One of the two elevators was out of service, it was peak checkout time, and there was also a princess pageant event happening, so the hotel was much busier than usual. Trying to get downstairs with my dog was extremely frustrating. I looked for stairs but wasn't sure if they were alarmed. When I asked an employee to confirm, she looked at me like I had five heads, which didn't help my already thin patience (I definitely did not have enough coffee for that situation). I eventually just went downstairs. Coming back up was even worse -- the line for the single working elevator was ridiculous. When I asked the front desk about the stairs, I was told they were accessible from outside. I didn't realize I needed my key card to re-enter through the outdoor stairwell (which makes total sense -- I was just aggravated at that point). After going back inside and trying again, I ended up walking up five flights of stairs with my dog. Thankfully, we had requested a late checkout, so we avoided the absolute peak of the chaos. Our friends on the third floor ended up carrying their luggage down the stairs because waiting for the elevator wasn't worth it. Unfortunately, being on the fifth floor with a lot of luggage, that wasn't really an option for us. Aside from that stressful morning, we really enjoyed our stay. The complimentary evening happy hour with drink tickets and small bites is always a highlight. We also had breakfast on Saturday morning -- and honestly, the breakfast is a major deciding factor whenever we choose to stay at a Hilton. Overall, a great stay with one very frustrating checkout experience.

I had a spicy chicken sandwich with fries my wife had chicken teriyaki lomein full of nice pieces of chicken ,Which she enjoyed .I also had some chicken tenders and fries from the cafeteria on our stay. We also ordered food from door dash while we were in the main lobby. We ordered shake shack which was cheaper ordering from door dash then buying food on the resort, smash burgers well done with cheese fries, for a little vacation cheat because I'm on a diet. By the way the order came really fast. Don The pool was great especially at night the view was amazing. With the lights shining on the pool and the really nice fire pit they had so you can even roast some marshmallows by it. Also the pool features a water slide for kids and adults. The blow up rafts were $9to17. You also could bring your own as well. You also had an ice machine with cold water free. Plus you had the soft drinks and soda all you can drink for $30 . That was the drink packed. Cabana bay resort also had a restaurant right next the pool outside. Where they had some really good chicken quesadillas with fries. My wife enjoyed that. . I went with the chicken wrap with lettuce and some veggies, It was great to eat pool side with the beach chairs equipped with the big umbrella for shade . Then you also had the lazy river at the resort. That featured a bigger water slide and pool . Bigger than the pool outside the main lobby. The staff was courteous and friendly the stay was fun. Just remember it's kinda pricey . But don't forget about all the theme parks you get to visit for $80 each way .

Stayed here last weekend for a long Memorial Day weekend. The hotel and pools are pretty nice -…read morekind of a 50s/60s vibe, though, the pool area was quite loud and crowded - couldn't help but hear other people's expletive-ridden drunk conversations while I watched my kids swim. The food: the bowling alley is probably one of the best food options on site (other than the Starbucks) - the salad there was actually quite good and not crazy expensive (though, everything is expensive). We also enjoyed milkshakes from the malt shop. The room was fine - we had a suite with a little kitchenette and it was spacious enough for a few days. **My only real complaint (and the reason for my lower review) was the quality of the furniture. My daughter was leaning against one of the end tables to plug something in on the other side the night before we were hitting Epic Universe early, and it collapsed below her. She fell on top of it and some portion of it punctured her leg (we think a metal pin that was poking out from one of the broken legs). We contacted hotel management, and they came with hotel security who did some basic first aid and took away the broken tables (the other one also broke from her fall). We're grateful she wasn't injured more seriously (at least that we know of yet), but it could have been so much worse if that pin had punctured a more delicate area of her body. It also definitely made the next day at the park a lot harder for her with leg pain, etc. They really need to upgrade/inspect the furniture to make sure it's safe for guests.
