    Chicken Taouk
    Susie D.

Shhhhh don't tell my budget sheet but I've been here twice in two weeks! The food is phenomenal and the quantity massive for the price. The first time I ordered chicken taouk, beef kofta wrap, and beef shawarma wrap. My parents absolutely loved the beef wraps and I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken one. The wraps are loaded with meat, the sauces and veggies are perfect balances to the richness of meat. I loved the wrap so much I bought I again yesterday with labneh as an app to split between friends. The labneh was so fresh. The owners are super friendly, caring, and dedicated to serving good fresh food - clearly was a family business. This is not a place to sit down and eat but rather a take out spot.

Came here for lunch. New spot opened up a few months ago. Friendly owner who I had a chat with while waiting for the food. I tried the chicken tawook and beef schwarma sandwiches. Beef was really good, came in Syrian flat bread wrap, big portion, tasty beef and sides inside. I added hot sauce which wasn't too spicy but really added to the flavor. Overall 5/5 sandwich would come back again!

Find a new gym that recently opened on Easton Ave., Thyme Machine. They serve authentic Lebanese food. Everything is made fresh to order. Seems like they're now starting off beautiful place. They have a nice Little beautiful outdoor surf bar like area. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Very delighted to stop and explain everything on the menu how it's made and what you can add and take away from it.

Walked in to a nice coffe bar area which did not seem functional .it well decorated with some antique accents keys if different shapes n sizes We were seated and a waiter took our order immediately. The place was a bit busy for a weekday. Complementary wam pita bread n ezme , sun dried tomatoes n spicy jalapeños were not bad . A paper form being warm there was nothing more to it. Got the mixed grill for two which was served with a side of soup and salad . Both sides were delicious. The grilled chicken kebabs and chops were passable though not juicy . All Lamb kebab choices were tough and chewy . This is a mediocre spot as I age v had better Kebabs in the same area . Not my kind of food.

On the street parking shouldn't really be an issue in the area. We found with no issue on a Tuesday evening. Inside is cozy.. could be a little warmer, but I'll give that it was an exceptionally cold December evening. The atmosphere gives cozy vibes though, which I appreciate. We were immediately seated upstairs, where they have plenty of large group seating options. Service was attentive and fast. We ordered a round of delicious appetizers.. hummus, saksuka, cheese rolls.. all of it was delicious. I especially loved the octopus app special.. magnificent! Entrees were especially of large portion, which was greatly appreciated. Everything tasted fresh and was beautifully presented. I ordered the Pyramid chicken which was delicious. Their chicken is flavorful and juicy. For dessert, my keskul was amazing! Plenty of pistachio on top with a delicate and very well balanced vanilla custard. I could eat that daily. I definitely plan on returning!!

Huge shoutout to Elleyse. She was amazing with us the first time, and when we came back with all the kiddos, she was incredibly patient, kind, and on top of everything. She made both visits feel special. The food was ridiculous. The porterhouse was amazing, and we got the Wagyu both times because it was that good. The chicken lollipops were incredible, the short rib mac and cheese was fire, and the truffle fries and Crispy Banging Shrimp were both huge hits. My wife and our friend loved the Spanish octopus. We also shared the bone-in chicken parm with spicy vodka penne, and it was awesome. Even the kids loved their chicken tenders and fries. The drinks were great too. Everything we tried was well made and paired perfectly with the meal. Dessert was next level. The tiramisu was awesome, and the Dubai chocolate cheesecake was amazing. I added a scoop of ice cream on the side myself, and it made it even better. The portion sizes are amazing too. Everything is big enough to share, and you'll still have plenty to bring home. Great vibe, great service, amazing drinks, and incredible food. We'll definitely keep coming back and bringing more friends. Highly recommend.

The lettuce was fresh and crisp, and the tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and feta cheese were all fresh and flavorful. The grilled chicken cubes were juicy, tender, and seasoned perfectly. The salad was beautifully presented, and the olive oil and lemon dressing brought everything together. My only complaint is that the grilled chicken portion was extremely small, especially considering the price. I would also have liked a slightly larger overall salad. Despite that, the quality and flavor were excellent, and I would definitely order it again. Hummus - 5/5 The hummus was smooth, creamy, and full of fresh flavor. It paired perfectly with the bread and was one of our favorite appetizers. Beautiful presentation, excellent taste, and very fresh. I just wish the serving size had been a bit larger. Calamari - 3/5 The calamari was served as tiny strips instead of rings, but it was crispy and cooked well. The homemade dipping sauce was absolutely amazing--the best calamari sauce I've ever had! The only disappointment was the portion size, which was very small for the price. Even so, the incredible sauce made this appetizer memorable, and I'd order it again just for that. Chicken Chops - 5/5 The grilled chicken was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The rice and vegetables were fresh and complemented the meal well. Everything looked beautiful on the plate. The only drawback was that the portion was smaller than expected for the price. Baklava - 4/5 The baklava was fresh, flaky, and perfectly sweet without being overwhelming. The pistachios tasted fresh, and it was a wonderful way to end the meal. Delicious dessert! But super small Overall Restaurant Review - 4/5 We had a wonderful dining experience at Namli Mediterranean & Turkish Cuisine. The restaurant was spotless, the staff was friendly and attentive, and every dish arrived beautifully presented. Everything we ordered was fresh and absolutely delicious. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect experience is that the portions are quite small for the price. If they offered slightly larger portions, it would be outstanding. Despite that, we would definitely return and highly recommend it for the quality of the food, excellent service, and clean, welcoming atmosphere.

The salad is crisp and flavorful, but not over done. Together they marry perfectly. I like to add the yogurt sauce over the chicken kebabs and rice, it just creates a velvety smooth texture. I'm a sucker the their bhabhaganouj. I'm positive it's made fresh for each order, it's warm, hint of garlic. I can eat this alone with pita and be happy. The hummus is bright and delicious. Perfectly smooth texture, pure mouth watering goodness. Can't leave out the taboulli salad. Always fresh, never overdone, and the added pomegranate seeds give it a burst of joy in your mouth. The lentil soup has this earthy, rich vibe to it. I think they add cumin, and provide a lemon wedge which just brightens it and ties it altogether. Making a perfect lunch all on its own. Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed. I know things changed since the previous owner (older Greek man) no longer owned it. He used to stop by the tables and chat with customers and we noticed that the portions had become smaller. This time we came for lunch on a Sunday. Place was kind of empty, with the exception of 2 large tables. We ordered Saganaki and were informed by waitress that they no longer flambéd it table side. We still ordered and it was good although not melted like we remembered. Husband only ordered the lemon soup, which he said was good. My daughter and I both ordered beef and lamb gyros, I ordered it with Greek fries (with the Greek cheese over them) and my daughter ordered hers with lemon potatoes. Both gyros came dry, in hard shaved pieces and I barely ate my fries as they were worse than fast food fries and not the traditional Greek cheese over them. The tzatziki was good, however, my daughter's had a hair in it. The worse part was that when we brought it to the waitresses attention, she was not apologetic or surprised. She just said she would bring a new one. This was unacceptable. To make matters worse, I went to their store next door to get the cheese I could fry at home and their custard dessert; they had neither. What a disappointment to the entire experience. Won't be returning if ever in the area.

It's a tiny, charming Greek spot tucked into Highland Park downtown, with parking so limited you basically need divine intervention... or street parking. Inside, it's cute and very Greek-coded. Vegetarian options? Let's just say... blink and you've seen them all. The hummus platter held its ground, but the Halloumi? I swear it was so rubbery I could hear it squeaking back at me. It felt like chewing a flip-flop in surround sound. Dinner came with exactly three vegetarian choices, all of which looked more like an appetizer sampler trying to pass as a meal. Thankfully, I had great company and a teammate who generously brought wine, which definitely upgraded the experience. Would I return? Personally, no. If you're vegetarian and planning to eat anything beyond hummus, salad, or bread, this place might test your patience. But credit where it's due... their orange cake was delicious and dangerously sweet.

Sandwich which is the star of my meal was smaller than the palm of my hand, ordered it with baba, there was less than a teaspoon at best, lamb was dry, no vegetables hardly at all. Sandwich was falling apart by the second bite because the pita was thinner than a fingernails thickness. Soup was great as always, the pistachio baklava was superb. The he prices aren't bad but if you factor in that they're not training their cooks to assemble their signature sandwiches and platters to the standard of Mamoun's, it's a waste of money and time ordering here. When I first got the order delivered I called, no manager, said call back, next day, couldn't reach the manager, third day later, no manager and a young woman in her teens clearly not interested in my comments and getting exasperated with me on the phone, she composed herself, but honestly, my comments are spot on. I told her to tell the manager to look at the reviews on Yelp and Google, wasn't looking for a free meal to make up for the really amateur sandwich only a college student in their dorm would be proud of assembling, I simply like the fact that Mamoun's is near my house and management it clearly failing. I left my name and number, have ZERO FAITH I will be contacted back, they don't seem to care. Update: 7 days later, no manager called. These guys just do not care, way to treat a good and EX customer. #fail
